The hotel is run by a very friendly couple. The food is great. Rooms are nice and comfortable but there is no hot water or fridge. Aow Yai is a nice enough beach but not the best in the island. Overall this is a nice place to spend a couple days

Basic accommodation for a beach trip”
The Frog is one of the most remote accommodations on Koh Phayam, so do not take a taxi when you go there, rent a motorbike right in the village when you arrive, you'll need it for the duration of you stay at the island. The bungalows is not on the beach or beach facing, they are placed in the forrest, where there is no wind. It get's rather hot during the afternoon and will stay so throughout the night. The bungalows can just accommodate a bed, nothing else, in the night you only have 1 light bulb in the room, so if you need light you must bring you own battery operated torch, because power cannot be provide from the installation in the bungalow. Beds are hard, sheets to cover yourself are only provided on request. Bathroom is connected to the room, but is under the open sky. So expect to have the floor covered with leaves. Daily cleaning is not part of the services. The restaurant serves good food, and their breakfast deal is a good deal for you. The neighbor is Rasta Baby, and they will provide music from sometime in the afternoon until 2.00 AM. The beach is with white and gray sand, clean, but the water is rather shallow so you tend to walk a long time before you can swim. The water seems clean but the waves rolls up the sand to make the water unclear.

Fantastic holiday”
We stayed at Frog Beach House and was very happy with our room, we stayed at the budget hut which is 5 minutes walk to the beach. The restaurant offers mainly Thai food which was delicious and some western food. The staff was fruendly and helpful, overall would recommend and would definitely go back again.

Mellow, well managed and enjoyable”
I stayed in a newer wooden bungalow that was immaculate, clean and comfortable. The owner is wonderfully helpful, attentive and friendly. It's location is towards one end of the beach whereas the central area is more lively at night. But this was good both because Frog Beach feels more secluded; and also because walking the beach at night to get to a restaurant is part of the magic of place. The water is shallow (very safe for small kids) the tide goes out a long way leaving a huge swathe of sand shimmering in the moonlight. Electricity is supplied by solar plus generator and was never a problem, though slow to charge mobiles etc. Wifi was very good for some of the time, poor on a few days - I think the whole island shares these problems, but that's why you are there, because it is still relatively undeveloped.

Lovely bungalows and good staff.”
Its in a quiet part of long beach, a short stroll from the village. My bungalow was absolutely beautiful and had a comfy bed, fan and moskito net (no need for). The bathroom is stylish, has no roof wich make it even more pretty. Leaf is falling right down on the tiled flore, had a pretty mini-frog living at in the bathroom showing up only in the night. Cold water only, basically just what you need. I loved it!

Average resort in great location”
We stayed at Frog beach house for 2 nights with the intention of staying for a third night but decided not to stay any longer. Maybe it would have been better staying in one of the higher standard bungalows but our bungalow was very average. Although we chose one with a fan, it was still very hot and sticky inside our room. At night we had the window open only to be woken by the numerous stray dogs on the island fighting and running around the resort. The location is superb, right on the beach. We only had breakfast at Frog house, which was of a good standard. We chose to eat out at different resorts down the beach which were larger and catered better. Although staff were polite they were not particularly friendly.

Nice litle wooden houses. Property is behind the beach (20 m to the beach from our house) which is nice cause u have privacy, and yet few steps and you are on the beach. Houses are surounded with plants and flowers which gives romantic scenary. bed with mosquito nets, private toilet and shower (no hot water, not that u need it).

Clean simple lodging”
The property is located on Aow Yai. I stayed for 4 nights. It was affordable and a great location to go out and walk the beach, swim or just relax and watch the waves. My bungalow was clean with a private bath shower. The staff cleaned my room after 2 nights without even asking. You're on an island and power at Frog Beach is supplied by solar panels and generators, so it's very limited. Plan accordingly. Wifi is slow, but I had good data connection on my mobile phone.

Nice public area - disgustig - rooms”
Our Stay at the Frog Beach House was very good during the day and terrible in the night. The public area is really comfortable with lots of lying possibilities in the shadow. The owner of the guest house is a really nice guy and a great cook! Unfortunately the cheaper rooms or less are rather far from the beach (~ 200-300 meter) and therefore it was really annoying when we needed something from our room. The nights were not the most relaxing because the cheaper rooms aren't completely closed and rats search for food the whole night. We heard them scratching on the floor and walls and saw them most of the times when we turned on the lights. In search for food they have been in our bagbags as well and left some for us... Maybee it's better if you have absolutely no food with you but we have packed our food in compression packs and hanged it from the roof. But when you look under the bed it seems as they enjoy this place because there is a lot and if the windows and the door are closed it also smells bad.

Fantastic food and people”
I intitially picked this place online. Upon arrival I was greeted the friendly family. They have a great sense of humor. During my first hour at FBH I noticed that the had made friends with many of the guest staying at FBH but also many guests were returning (some as many as 5 years in a row). Furthermore, the place was sold out most nights, and returning friends / guests who had not been able to rent one of FBH's bungalows had found alternate accommodations but still returned to FBH for food and friendship. The location is the beach and is close to any other restaurant / bar you may want to visit. Although there is a reggae bar next door, the positioning of FBH's bungalow's makes it that the music is generally lost in the Forest. Great place, great people - I'll do it again - นกฮูก

Great! Nice hotel, sweet bungalows, friendly/helpful staff, great food, wonderful location on beach, perfect place to relax all day, wifi only at restaurant & chill area. Definitely recommendable. No hot water & No AC, limited electricity in rooms. But otherwise perfect. Must RENT MOTORBIKE, unless you are happy to stay at hotel & beach the entire time. As long walks & not recommended to get anywhere...

Everything was good but sofar from plier, can't find easy. Food at resort was ok, reasonable price. Room so clean and was decorated in thai traditional style.ln conclusion it is good one of Payam resort that make me love.

Beach get away”
The stay started with our booking not being found, but it all got better after that. The owner is very helpful and friendly, the food and Thai ice tea were fabulous. The bungalow was cleaned every 2 day. It was a 20 second walk from the beach and a nice communal area. Unfortunately the lights in the communal area and garden was turned off at 22 o'clock so yoy couldn't enjoy it it the evening. The reggae bar next door was a little noisy at night but nothing too bad. great place on a great island.

Great stay! Lovely owners and nice quiet location”
It was great! Really lovely holiday. The hotel is at the far end of Aow Yai in a quiet location although there is a reggae bar next door but it was never loud enough to be an issue at night. The restaurant is fine for home-cooked fare although do not expect fast service!! Highly recommended!

Good value for the money”
Stay was ok, food quite unspectacular, better choices on the beach. Owner friendly and helpful, granny a bit grumpy. Rasta Baby bar next door...be prepared when having the front bungalows.
