Great Value for Money”

A very Clean Room

Fu Hua Guang Dong Hotel is an excellent choice for those who intend to travel to Macau for business or leisure. The hospitality is great, amnenities are good and great location as it is located in a nearby market where we can find good and cheap food. It is also located near to a morning market where we had the experience to see the locals do their marketing. Excellent! I enjoyed every second of my stay at Fu Hua Guang Dong

Hotel at a convenient location”

Good Location, Low Price, 3-Bedded room

Probably it is because of weekend stay, hotel price in Macau was generally higher than weekdays. After spending a lot of time searching, I decided to book Fu Hua Guangdong Hotel because of its convenient location. I used Google Map to look at the location. My mother was travelling with us and this was one of the very few hotels that offer 3 bedded room at a reasonable price. PROS: Convenient, 15 mins walk to Ruins of St Paul's, good public bus network, near ferry terminal accessible by bus 32 CONS: The only letdown was the inavailability of Free Wifi throughout our stay. Over promise and under-delivered

grand, great service, prime location”

comfortable, location close to everywhere, cozy room

My room was upgraded to Delux Double so I do not know how the standard room looks like. The Delux room exceeded my expectation. It was lovely, with views overlooking Macau residential areas. They didn't provide sugar for the Lipton tea bags provided but it's better that way right? =P Location was good, you can take buses to anywhere (we crossed over to China!), or even walk. Food wasn't a problem. If you're hungry in the middle of the night there's McD nearby and a 24/7 bakery shop. The hotel frontdesk personnels are relatively young. They can speak basic english, and they'll show you directions if you're not sure of where to go. For the price I paid, it was really satisfying experience, although we didn't spend much time in the hotel. At night the area was pretty dead but then again it was 2am on a monday morning. most people was probably asleep for work the next morning. hehehe.

Good price in downtown”

right in the downtown

Actually, the hotel is in the middle of everything. The hotel is very close to Ferry station, and around the hotel there are plenty of restaurants, 24h supermarkets, and in the really next door to tree lamp quarter where u can buy original clothing designer in macau. Hotel is a bit worn, hence, room and air condition system could be renewed. But the room is kept clean. Sofar depends on the price one pay, it is worth the money staying there. While I have read that most staffs could not speak english, but I just have experience the opposite site. Every times, I was talking with staffs at check in counter. They can speak english.

Nice hotel and near the city”

Good accomodation

The hotel is not so far from Macau Ferry terminal just one ride in a bus. The staff are nice and responsive on inquiries. The room is big and had a good view of the city, good air conditioning, LCD tv and of course, they had cold and hot shower and a bath tub. well, a complete amenities. This hotel is good for walking tour, Ruins of Saint Paul, the Senado Square etc. You don't have to ride to reach those places, as we do.

Location, Staff, Value for money

The second time I choose this hotel. I chose a tri-bed room and was Satisfied with it! The staff is very kind. It located in the old Macau city which is not far from the Ruins of St.Paul, about 20 minutes by walk. And It's also not far from the ferry terminal, there's a city bus. I'm also satisfied that it's very convinient to eat arount the hotel.

Stay at FHG”

location, hotel restaurant (dim sum), staff

There are hardly any affordable places to stay in Macau. FHG is the cheapest option and it is obvious -- while the hotel appears nice and the staff was great. The room left much to be desired. I am normally not picky about hotel rooms (as long as I have a bed I am happy) but the room was unnaturally moist -- the blankets, pillows, and sheets all felt wet to the touch, which is an icky feeling. I dealt with it and still had decent sleep but might look for better lodging next time. The price for me was around $90 USD a night. I would pay a $30-50 more to stay at a much better casino resort. Or if money was an issue -- maybe stay at a hostel in Hong Kong and take the ferry to Macau. There are convenient and free shuttle bus casinos offer to take you from ferry to various hotels around macau -- you do not need to be staying at the casino to use. That said, FHG is situated at a great location! The dim sum at this hotel (2nd floor) was also excellent -- but only Chinese menus.

Simplicity: Is this what you are looking for?”

Good location; friendly staff and clean room

i and my god-brother were at fu hua guang dong hotel on 3 jun to 4 jun 2011. the hotel is relatively well-known by the taxi driver from the airport. please note that it will be best that you can print out the name and address of the hotel so that the driver can locate it easily. i can speak both mandarin and cantonese and i got mix up with another hotel with almost the same name! a spacious lobby and the staff were friendly and patience when i bombarded them with several questions. they were smiling and cheerful. of course they love it when you speak to them in cantonese but mandarin and english are fine. we were given a twin-single bed room on the highest floor of the hotel, room 2206. the bed sheets were clean, the bathroom was clean and everything was in good order. however, the view was not really that good. but i am okay with that. a good place to stay with nearby convenience stores, shopping areas and eateries all within walking distance from the hotel. would recommend to all folks out there who are planning a trip to macau.

friendly 2 housekeeping ladies -Philipina and Chinese working seriously to resolve my internet connection problem ( on my 1st day ), clean, location

I could not get internet connection on my laptop and mobile. The hotel`s internet network is detected but could not go through. I can get connected instantly from free-go wifi anywhere in macau very easily . I am not sure where could the problem be whether its my laptop and mobile coming from different continent settings or the Hotel`s internet settings. Kudos for 2 housekeeping ladies and the front desk team ! keep up !

good location and good service

When we arrived in Macau which is our first time there we took a taxi and went to Fu Hua Guang Dong Hotel the location is good it is just near in some shops and restaurants so there is no problem when you have to go out and need something. Our room is big and the bed too they also have extra pillow and comforter which i used since we are three. The hotel though is old but is okay and since it is hard to speak with the personnel in English we just managed to do on our own never asked from them like where we have to go to. Luckily we have our great time in Macau even it is just our first time.

Bathroom need to improve and pillows are very soft

We had a very pleasant stay in Fu Hua Guang Dong Hotel.I reached there early around 10am and asked for early check-in. The staff is very helpful and get me the room within 15 minutes. Alot of shops and restaurant surrounding and we easily get our breakfast at the old coffee shop. The next day, we took our breakfast in the hotel restaurant and the Dim Sum is very tasty and with reasonable price too. Walk to Ruins St Paul (大山巴) and Hong Kong-Macau Harbour also very convenient. Although there is no casino nearby the hotel, but very easy to get the transportation thru and flow from the casinos.

Basic Room but Great Location ”

Bus stops to everywhere are just few meters from hotel.

Basic 3 star room amenities with electric kettle and cups/glasses. No WiFi access. No complimentary bottled water, coffee or tea. The hotel is located nearby the Red market and three lamps district 三盞燈. There's convenient store nearby, namely San Miu Supermarket 新苗超級市場, opens from 8am till 12am midnight. There are also bakery shops and a McDonald's along the street Avenida de Horta e Costa 高士德街. From International airport, just take Bus AP1/26A to Macau ferry terminal/Border Gate, fare is MOP/HKD/RMB 4.20. Then get buses to the street Avenida de Horta e Costa: Bus 5,6,6A,9,9A,22, 25,25X,28C,32 &etc, fare is MOP/HKD/RMB 3.20. Good location within city centre and nice staff”

good location within city centre; polite and considerate staff; clean and newly renovated staff

This hotel is at a good location within Macau city centre. Easy to reach famous historical places by bus or even on foot. But it is still a shortcoming that no shuttle bus service is provided by the hotel. When we checked out and tried to get to the pier, it took us quite a long time to find a taxi. Though this hotel is a bit old style, we were lucky to get a clean and newly renovated room. Size of the room is very small, but the cleanliness makes it comfortable enough. Thanks to the polite and considerate staff who gave us an upgrade to this room, without asking us to pay extra cost.

Value for money”

Value for money, cozy and comfortable rooms, helpful staffs

Room was comfortable and cozy. We got more than what we paid for the room. The toilet was somehow old but bearable and the toilet flush was not so much of a good condition. Location is not that accessible for the tour destinations but I think that was offsetted with the hotel room rates, taxis in the Macau are somehow cheaper and affordable. Staffs were accommodating even if they themselves are not good enough with English language, you just have to be patient in understanding what they tell because they also find it so hard to explain and answer questions to English-speaking guests. I think the hotel should improve their staffs' languages abilities somehow because this is one of the considerations of the hotel guests.
