My second stay here. The management and staff are very friendly/accommodating, rooms are clean and spacious for the price. Located down a quiet soi, but only a few metres walk to the main road. For me, the location is perfect as I like to walk and explore. What keeps me coming back to Fuengfa is the professionalism of the staff, cleanliness and the privacy. Would definitely recommend Thank you for my stay.

This is a great place. Just on the edge of the old town. Easy walking distance to everything but very quiet in a side street. A few good breakfast choices, clean and room was cleaned every day. Rooms are spacious with a sitting ares. Great for even a longer stay in CM

clean & spacious hotel with a carpark”
I booked this hotel because it had a car park where I could park my rental car. The furnishings in the room was simple but it was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff I met were also helpful and friendly. The hotel is located away from the main road so it is quite peaceful.

Clean, good wifi & location, walking distance to everything in the old city, quiet street. Near several restaurants & breakfast places. Has a balcony too! Altogether very good value for money.

Good location - but not for sensitive ears”
The location is great, the breakfast is good and the rooms are spacious - however the walls/floors are very thin so if you are sensitive to noise, you can hear what all of your neighbours are up to. The corridors are also very echoey so when people shut their doors (and they're the kind that seem to slam) it's pretty loud. Otherwise decent value for money

Very clean hotel with helpful staff. Quiet so means you get a good nights sleep. Did some laundry and was returned to us very quickly. The breakfast is not great I would advise against getting it. Room was cleaned daily, fresh towels and bottled water. They also noticed I was hanging some clothes out on the balcony to dry and left a clothes rack out for me the next day which is so thoughtful. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed 7 nights. Large rooms with a balcony. Tidy. The 2 main receptionists (day and night) are super kind. Rooms with an odd number are a little noisier (planes taking off and main road nearby). Not so many restaurants in the neighborhood. Bedsheets and towels replaced every day.

if you like to sleep in, i'm afraid the rooster living next door might wake you as well as the marching band practice going on early in the morning. otherwise, this is a nice, comfortable, clean hotel with good breakfast options and a friendly staff.

Friendly staff and good location”
The staff was helpful and friendly, and were very helpful as I had a bad case of a stomach ailment. The room was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was ok, not as good as many of the breakfast spreads in Thailand.

Horrible Stay! Keep Away!”
We arrived from Hoi An and immediately called a cab to find Fuengfa place. When we got off the car, it looked very old and depressing but we went in anyway. Approaching the small desk, we checked in and were told to come back after 30 minutes as they haven't cleaned the rooms yet. We came back and the lady at the desk handed us our keys. We proceeded to the room after climbing a few flights of stairs and, much to our dismay, the room was just in the process of being cleaned. We had to wait an additional 20 mins for the cleaners to finish up. And when we did enter the room, it looked very old, needing much renovation. After waiting so long, I needed to use the bathroom. I turned on the faucet, and instead of clean water coming out, it was dark brown, almost the color of poop! We were so disgusted! So I took photos and videos of the water and showed the ladies at the front desk. The ladies said nothing but "it looks dirty." I was so surprised, I just packed my bags and booked another cleaner hotel. For the amount I paid for this place, you can find other better and cleaner places. I wish there was a way to include photos in this review so I can show how disgusting the water was.

We're a retired Canadian couple that loved our 7 night stay at Fuengfa Place. This hotel is in the old city and about a 25 to 30 min. walk to the markets, back packer area or less than 10 by tuk tuk. This area is not as congested as the back packer area and there are lots of eateries, coffee shops food stalls in the immediate area. The hotel has a very nice restaurant/bar area and serve a western breakfast, which was fine, we chose to eat most often from the street vendors, just a personal preference. The owners and staff take great pride in hosting their guests, we couldn't have been treated better. The premises are spotless as was our room. A/c and wifi worked well and we felt the room rate was fairly priced. We met a fellow there who has lived in Chaing Mia for 10 yrs, the first 9 years were at this hotel, we thought that was a pretty good recommendation. We would recommend this hotel to our friends and without question stay there again should we return to Chiang Mia.

Great place to stay in the heart of Chiang Mai”
This hotel is very well located. You can get to every sight by foot while also having it quiet. The staff was really awesome. Everyone was so kind and nice, I've felt welcome there every minute. You should arrange the breakfast beforehand. They have a free buffet with fruits, bread and jam but if you talk to them beforehand they can make even better dishes like american breakfast or thai food. All in all: If I will come back to Chiang Mai in the future, I will definitely stay at Fuengfa Place!

Fuengfa Place”
Fuengfa Place was a good albeit not extraordinary hotel in which to stay during a 3 day visit in Chiang Mai. It is located in an alley in a rather quiet part of the NE Old city area, far from most of the cultural sights; however, it is close by 2 really excellent restaurants: Tikky's Cafe and Khao Soi Arak. The cultural sights are close enough via (motor)bike, although I would recommend a motorbike (Chiang Mai didn't feel like a very cycle-friendly city during the 2 days that we cycled around). Our room had a balcony with a place to hang laundry, which was much appreciated. My biggest complaint is that the pillows were extremely uncomfortable! Too overstuffed, to the point that my neck felt stiff upon awakening.
