The highlight of my trip! ”
Staying at Fuji Lake Hotel was the highlight of my Japan trip and I wish I stayed longer than the 2 nights I had planned for. From first arrival, the service was excellent; I was able to check in early and drop off my luggage until it was time to access the room at 2:00pm. Once returned I received the room key and the luggage was already brought up to the room! The room was HUGE, and the private onsen was great; I booked the room with a view of Mount Fuji and and Fuji was visible from both windows by the bath and sitting area. Lastly, dinner was served for both nights and there was a breakfast buffet each morning. The food was incredible and the staff made every meal time 1000% more enjoyable. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and will definitely be returning for every trip to I take to Japan.

Photos don’t show how beautiful the rooms really are!”
Me and my partner booked a room with a Mount Fuji view and an open air bath in our bathroom… if you’re thinking of booking this hotel, DO IT! The photos honestly don’t do the hotel justice. the room we stayed in was so beautiful with the most amazing view of Mount Fuji from our bedroom and our private onsen. To top things off the buffet breakfast in the morning was delicious. Loved it!

Wonderful stay”
My partner &I only stayed for one night but this was both of our best experience at a hotel. The staff were very helpful, accommodating, and truly went the extra mile. Our room was clean and spacious with the private onsen. Including the amenities &the breakfast &lunch, it was highly worth the cost. The location is convenient, only a 10 minute walk from the express bus stop (you could also call the hotel bus for free) and right next to the lake &other attractions.

Loved the onsen and the view!”
The rooms need some updating, and we found some handprints on the wall which was going upwards towards the ceiling. The bathroom with the tub had a beautiful view. Our room had the lakeside view- it was just amazing to wake up and fall asleep to that majestic view. We reserved the private onsen, and we had a great time just relaxing while soaking. The hotel is near restaurants and a convenience store. We took a walk around the lake in the morning, and we thoroughly enjoyed looking at Fuji- san covered in snow. The hotel has a wonderful viewing deck with a majestic view of Fuji- san, too! The staff spoke English and were very warm and friendly. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay- we’ll definitely come back soon!

Best hotel we’ve stayed in Japan”
We booked one of the deluxe rooms with Mt Fuji view with private bath tub. The room was spacious with a beautiful view of Mt Fuji. We watched sunset and sunrise through the window. It was just beautiful. The bath tub is indoor so it made the experience more convenient. We have stayed in other Ryokan where the bath tub is outside by the patio. They offer free pick up and drop off at the bus station. Just call them when you arrive and driver will show up in 5 minutes.

Fantastic service good size room, decent breakfast”
First of all I'll start by saying that the Hotel is in a fantastic location, its sky observatory offers an amazing view of Mt Fuji and the staff even give you a map of the hotel with the sunrise time on it so that you know where to go and at what time to see the sun rise over Mt Fuji, it was truly a wonderous sight to behold, the hotel offers a shuttle bus service to and from the hotel which is fantastic, we were there from 28th of June to the 29th and the hotel wasnt super busy yet but regardless we literally had to wait 5 minutes at the station and the shuttle bus came and picked us up, very efficient and saves money on cab fares. The location itself is a 10 minute walk from the Mt Kachi Kachi ropeway one of the main attractions in he area. It offers truly stunning views of Mt fuji from the summit of the ropeway and you can even choose to hike even further. As well as this there are pedal boats for hire 5 minutes from the hotel on the lake front for people who dont mind getting their feet wet and enjoying a relaxing cruise along the lake with their spouse, significant other or friend. Now to get to the Hotel, first of all we didnt try the pool or the public onsen as we were very busy but both looked very nice and clean with gorgeous views of the lake. The hotel has two private onsen baths we payed a little bit for the private onsen as it was a promotional price only 2100 yen for an hour of the most relaxing bath you will ever have, it was fantastic. To anyone coming here I would recommend it beyond anything else at the hotel, The private onsen offers views of Mt Fuji if you go while its light, we were so busy we went after dark at 9 until 10 but it was one of the highlights of the trip. Our room was a jaoanese western with a view of the lake, was big and spacious, toilet was a good enough size and featured all of the things you would expect such as a Japanese toilet bidet and shower combo, complimentary towels, and toiletries etc. Breakfast was good and varied

Amazing location, fantastic amenities”
We had a great stay at the Fuji Lake Hotel. It was a wonderful escape from the hustle & bustle of the city. On arrival at the train station make sure you get the tourist centre to let the hotel know you're there as they will come and collect you in the shuttle bus. Ensure you book an hour in the private Onsen with mt Fuji views - so worth it! We had breakfast included and the buffet selection was awesome. There are also several viewpoints throughout the hotel of Mt Fuji, we got some great photos. Beware if you have tattoos so we were not allowed to use the public Onsen or swimming pool. We did not know this prior to arriving and were very disappointed however understand its past of Japanese culture. The hotel has bingo & a traditional drum performance in the evenings which was fun. If you would like to eat dinner at the hotel restaurant make sure you book as it fills up quickly, otherwise the restaurants around the lake are great or you can get the shuttle bus to the shopping centre. None of the staff are very fluent in English which can sometimes be confusing but they are very helpful so you will figure it out in the end!

Fabulous experiences! ”
Great location! 8 mins walk from Kawaguchiko Station to Hotel or 4mins for hotel Shuttle bus. Convenient traffic, Taxi, tour buses, trains. Very professional services for hotel, our family members in the total of 5 people arrived early but allow early check-in at 12, so we can travel around without taking baggages, return hotel in the evening and all baggages already in the room! And good communications for Japanese, English and Chinese. Facilities are perfect. We had breakfast at 7/F which allow spectacular scenery, clealry we can see both the fuji lake and the fuji moutain at the same floor! And the buffet options are perfect as well! Room facilities are perfect as well, Japanese and western style in one room! Separated bathroom, toilet and washroom! Lovely Onsen experiences as well for surely in B1 level. The private onset need extra charge at 6/F need to book if you want to try. And free fireworks sightseeing ship tour provided in the evening!

Lovely hotel with a nice view of Mount Fuji”
we were picked up from the train station. the hotel offers free ride to and from the station, which is very convenient. we were impressed with an enchanting view, as the hotel is next to a lake and mt fuji. the location is peaceful and nice. a few restaurants nearby, the staff was hospitable, and spoke fluent english. the room we stayed was huge, clean, japanese-styled with comfortable beds. we enjoyed the buffet breakfast, there were lots of varieties food options and it was fresh and very tasty. last but not least, i enjoyed the outdoor and indoor spa provided. we'll definitely go back to fuji lake hotel again.

My best hotel experience EVER at this price!”
We had a friend visiting from overseas, and this hotel gave him a perfect "Japan experience". The hotel has nice gardens all around, a good onsen (hot spring bath), massage facilities, a small pool great for kids 6-10 with a jacuzzi and small sauna as well, fantastic multi-course Japanese dinners and an excellent buffet breakfast both included in the price. The best part are the stunning views on both sides--beautiful gardens and Lake Kawaguchi on one, and Mt. Fuji on the other. The hotel does look a bit old and worn-looking, but everything is maintained in excellent condition. Oh, and extremely kid-friendly--we were traveling with a 6 & 8 year old plus a 3 month old baby (I know, I know!) and they really went all out to help us out. My only real criticism is: no bar to speak of! There is only a terribly smoky, tiny room in the basement (I'm a smoker and I couldn't stand the smell!) Either the huge space used for dining or the very nice lobby area would make a great bar, but instead they want us to go drink in a tiny stinky room downstairs? No thanks. We grabbed our own bottle of scotch and sat out by the lake. Problem solved.

PERFECT Getaways”
We booked a room with private onsen and the minute we walk in to our room, we do not want to go anywhere else. The view was great! Their service is superb! The in-room onsen are perfect, so romantic and relaxing. There is a welcome drink for you when you check in, one of the staff will bring your luggage to your room and show you around. Make sure you book a lake view room as the view is stunning, our suggestion will be you may book another hotel with fujisan view and if you check in this hotel, book a lake view. Our stay in Fuji Lake Hotel is unforgettable !

Excellent Service and Great Food”
We have enjoyed our stay very much at our Mount Fuji facing room. The view from our window was great as Mount Fuji was directly at our sight. The other facing is the lake view. Unfortunately, as the hotel is located on the southern edge of the lake we can't see both lake and mountain in one view. Travelers wanting to have a single view of the lake and mount Fuji should stay on the Northern shore of the lake. This wasn't a big deal for us since most travelers should get out of the room to truly see the scenery. The hotel was built in the 1930s but was very well kept and has excellent heating for cold weather. We were very impressed with the excellent service and English speaking staff. As it was a half board, we had very good experience for the dinner and breakfast (just like in the TV travel programme "Japan Hour"). The Onsen was ok, not the best I have experienced.

Great spot”
we received a complimentary room upgrade. the room (suite) was very large, and a bathroom the size of other japanese hotel rooms. the cheap rooms looked more than adequate also. mt fuji views were great to wake up to, but the lake view is also beautiful if you don't want to pay for mountain view. with there own observation room it's not really necessary to pay extra. the breakfast was great, with lots of choice, and had views of the lake and mt. there own gift shop prices were the same price, or cheaper than other shops in town. the decor is old fashioned, but clean and in good order.

Fantastic room!”
great view of the mt fuji and the lake. close to train station. we stayed in the deluxe room with private bath. the room is very big and beautiful. we have a room facing right to mount fuji. the bath in the room is a bit small but it's really nice. the bathroom is huge compare to all the hotel we've stayed in. the only downfall is they only offer two single beds. there is no restaurants around the hotel or you may need to take a bus to the other side of the lake to find one. we recommend to go to the tiny restaurant cross the road! make sure you try the fry rice!
