Quiet and Beautiful”
The pro for me was that the tatami room was super spacious, beautiful tatami and low wooden table. Safe, mini fridge and tv were noce amenities. I love that they have dining, a cafe, and an amazing onsen inside the hotel. Since I visited during the pandemic I was lucky to have the hotel almost all to myself. I bathed twice there alone in the onsen. Great experience. Plus they are located beside the BEST izakaya in town "High Spirits" please choose this hotel and visit that izakaya. You eill have an amazing experience!!!

Very good”
Japanese style room as very unique and cool to try, but the roll out foams were really worn and old And there was no food options and the staff did not work mornings when we tried to check out we couldn’t. Also it is quite far from the bus and train stops. And bus stops running around 6pm and there is no way to get to or from but walking. So it was not ideal.

Yikes”
So we check in, given a key, and shown the elevator up to the 3rd floor. Once up we had to lug our suitcases up and down a couple stairs to find our room. When we opened the door, it was really musty smelling, and small, and dark. There were no windows, and the toilet area smelled like mildew. Around two walls were sliding doors that had random storage behind them, like a very large old picture frame and some ski polls?? Then I looked at the futon and saw a bug. There were no windows in that room or really anywhere close. Then there were tons of hair on the pillows, and about a centimeter of dust around the TV. Big yikes. We got moved to a room a few doors down that was semi updated and had a bit of a view of Fuji. Still wouldn't say it was worth the money, and still pretty scuffed up. They definitely were not booked up; at breakfast there were only six tables set up, ours included. Breakfast was fairly nice. Traditional Japanese breakfast with pickled veggies, fish, egg, rice, miso soup, and thick chunks of raw tuna. When we checked out and asked if we could leave our bags somewhere, they said we could just leave them in the lobby, and then brought out a rope to cordon them off. Not super comforting. Probably will chose to stay in a hostel next time.

Don‘t come here! ”
Unfortunately our trip to Kawaguchiko was not the highlight we thought it would be! Also because this Ryokan looked nothing like on the pictures. Seems like they didn‘t change anything in the last 30 years or so. We got a room without window and they stored personal stuff like skiing-poles inside. The public bathroom we were supposed to use was a complete mess. Full trash-bins, no hot water, no shower and dirty toilets - it was absolutely disgusting! If we wanted to shower we had to go to the onsen on the ground floor, which was closed during a big part of the day. The hot bath was ok but the rest of the facilities were either broken or dirty. The area the hotel was in does not offer a lot and was very dismal. All in all, we wouldn‘t recommend anybody staying here!

Eary place”
We were I think the only ones staying at the hotel and it felt like it too. No one was around and the hotel felt haunted. Can’t recommended it. Maybe it’s different in high season.

Fuji, san view from room, Spacious japanese room.”
It was wonderful to see fuji, san just right outside room window( we booked 2 rooms with Mt. Fuji view) very worth it. Air,con are new and quiet. Basically the room are well equipped with all you might be needed. Kettle, tea set, fridge, hair dryer, safe box.. Etc. we book room with breakfast which is nice. We paid extra ¥3500 each for hotel dinner (big japanese set with sashimi, crab legs, japanese shabu shabu(hot pot)..etc it was delicious). Free pick up from kawaguchiko station (ask tourist info staff to call hotel for pick up)but no transport on the check out date. we had to make our own way back to kawaguchiko station which cost us ¥1540 for around 2 km distance by taxi. We had no choice with big luggages for 4 pax. For other days or if you are light travellers. Fujikyu bus stop is right out side the hotel ¥150 each to /from kawaguchiko station. This is very convenience to get around. We also tried a walk from kawaguchiko station it was less than 30 min on a good weather day. There is a family mart / restaurants / super market situated 7 ,10 min walk from hotel. The hotel area is quiet and peaceful. There are indoor onzen and outdoor onzen separate male/female. 2 min walk to lake side. Hotel roof top has view deck for panorama view of fuji, san and kawaguchiko lake, don't miss it!

A value for money orsen resort hotel in Kawaguchi.”
The usual choice of resort hotel of Kawaguchi would be at the north bank of the lake. This time we want a view of Fuji Mountain with the houses beneath her, so we chose Fuji no Yado Ohashi. The hotel is a bit old and not as spacious as those besides the lake. The good point is the hotel is within Kawaguchi town, so it would be "less tourist" for us. The dinner was excellent, while the breakfast a bit up to expectation. We also like the in-room onsen as using a wood basin. Another surprise was there was public bus calling outside the hotel, so we had more flexibility by leaving the hotel after checking out.

Good location. Clean and cozy place”
Ohashi hotel is greater than my expectation. Bus stop is just at the front of the hotel. Walking distance to supermarket. Though no view in my room, i can see the fuji mt from the balcony on the roof floor. Rm quiet and clean. Public bath clean and and quiet. I can enjoy the onsen on my own sometimes.

Australian Solo travellers perspective”
The stay, while short, was great. The staff very friendly and made my traditional bed when I arrived to the room. They insisted I didn't have to help them when I tried, which was nice of them. The room size was small to average, however for the price I paid, and considering how close I was to the lake, Mt Fuji, and all there is to see in the area it was great!

Quiet Trip to Mount Fuji”
We were for the trip to mount Fuji and stayed at this hotel. The hotel itself is relatively old but classy, it can certainly provides comfort. The staff are friendly and sweet. The only downside is that we found it very difficult to operate the bath tap in the room (private bath). All in all, everything is great and the view in the hotel room is simply amazing. The food is great.

Exceptional”
Nice place to stay near Fuji. Rooms and facility are old but very clean. Nice public bath. Staff there (or maybe owner) cannot speak English but try their best to communicate.

Good hotsprings, average service ”
Hot springs and rooftop 360 view were very good. Outdoor bath is great. Room was reasonable for the price. Shuttle bus service had issues. Suddenly on the day we were told there would be no morning drop off service due to some maintenance issue. We were told to walk or take a public bus and that the hotel had no obligations regarding the shuttle bus. When getting picked up the bus didn't come until about 30 mins after our call despite a prior email when we told the staff what time we'd arrive. Was lucky I could speak Japanese to understand the bus routes but it might be difficult for native English speakers as the hotel doesn't take the shuttle bus service as seriously as other hotels which can be inconvenient. Just keep that in mind.
