Best Ryokan you can find in Kawaguchiko”
This is one of the few Ryokans i've found that has a private open air onsen in every room. Staff was all very friendly and helpful. The dinner and breakfast was beautifully prepared and everyone in my family of 6 all commented that it was their best meal in Japan so far. Thank you to the staff that have served us and with their hospitality. Definitely highly recommend this place and if i were to come again i will definitely book this place.
We stayed only 1 night at this hotel and it was the best night out of the whole trip. Great service, friendly hotel staff and fantastic Japanese dinner. I would recommend to every of my friend who will travel to Mt.Fuji in the future.
Chillaxing to the max”
The place have 9 rooms only, if u want to have a relaxing ambience to end the trip. A bit pricy but so worth it. Staff are super nice n attentive. Sure hope to visit this place again. Not to forget the kaiseki experience is superb. 10 Min walk to Lake kawaguchiko
We went to Onsenji Yumedono to treat ourselves and to get away from hectic Tokyo during a trip with my BFFs. Everything was beyond expectation: facility (beautiful), food (if you like Japanese cuisine - the breakfast and dinner is a must! Superb! ), and staff - all fabulous. It was a heavenly experience! We wish we could have stayed longer.
Great experience ”
Very comfortable room, big, clean, has everything you need. There is an outdoor private bath in the garden. And they provide a stool and a small bucket, which makes our bath extremely cozy. Lotion, toner and even face cleansing gel are all provided. The staff’s English is very good. Had very nice conversation with her. Very informative. We are deeply impressed with the breakfast and dinner. Large proportion, great many choices and very fresh ingredients. Very tasty and beautiful!! We absolutely loved it. Great great great experience
Impressive ryokan ”
Excellent service provided by the staff members who all speak good English. Both breakfast and dinner are superb. The portion of each dish is unexpectedly huge and the quality is high. Love the environment of the ryokan so much, too! Overall a wonderful taste of traditional ryokan.
Superb ryokan with private onsen”
My family and I were simply wowed and won over by the friendliness and quality of service by everyone at Fuji Onsenji Yumedono. The private onsen was so relaxing and worth every cent! The breakfast spread was top notch. We simply cannot fault this little slice of paradise. Arigato gozaimasou! :)
Awesome Ryokan experience!”
A perfect get away for couple with traditional ryokan experience, Tatami mattress, and private outdoor onsen! The 42degreeC onsen was amazing especially under a -4 to 2 degree weather. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Cleanliness was close to perfect. 3day 2nights would be enough as a retreat. Highly recommended.
It was our first time in Japan and we knew we had to have a private onsen in our room so we can enjoy it as and when we like! We did our research and booked this way in advance as they have limited rooms. Before we arrive, they would send us an email to confirm our gender and if we opt for their dinner (payable). We did not opt for the dinner as we planned to explore the area but we had the breakfast. The breakfast was a full course Japanese meal which was the best we had! The check in process was intimate and personal, the lady was polite and spoke good english. After the check-in, we had our welcome tea and towel, we were briefed on the room. We went out to explore and the futon was laid out for us by the time we were back at night. The futon was so comfortable, the whole onsen experience was so good (even though it rained)! We only stayed for 1 night but we spent most of our time in it which was our purpose of stay. Would highly recommend this place for ultimate relaxation and rest!
Quiet hideout ”
It was a quiet hideout from Tokyo. The location of the hotel although it's not near Kawaguchiko station, it is easily access from the Ogi bus stop (1min walk) which is bus stop number 4 from the red & green side seeing bus line. We didn't opt for the free pick up but did our own red line tour and get off at Ogi as our last stop for the day. There was no check in counter, the min we reach we are ushered in straight to our room which is nicely set up. One of the staff will then do the check in procedure with you in the room. We didn't opt for the dinner option but be mindful that there are no restaurants around the ryokan. Preparation of food in advance is advice. The service was good and staff was friendly. However I do feel that it felt somewhat intruding when I was having breakfast in the room and the staff came in at least 4 times to clear the plates. I would have much enjoyed the peacefulness of eating my breakfast and I do think clearing of any plates etc can wait till we check out.
overall worth of money with friendly staff and nice onsen”
the staff is very friendly with limo to pick you up from the station. the resort information is very helpful to direct to get the local delicalies from the nearest supermarket. the environment of the resort is same as from the photo, but the onsen is awesome, which you can enjoy anytime. strongly recommend to eat the dinner prepare by the resort, is superb. overall i think is worth of money for couple to stay this resort compare to surrounding resort. although this resort is operate quite a long ago, but they are well maintain. will go back to stay again
It is very satisfy to stay in this hotel. My room is president suit. It has a big area with two room, two shower area. Thats a great and nice garden with a spa on it. Enjoying spa with garden view in a private pool. Dinner and breakfast of the hotel is great too. It is not facing mount fuji, but u can walk within few minute to enjoying the huge mount fuji in front of you. Good and nice hotel
Accommodation for the ultimate relaxation”
Great ryokan here at Kawaguchiko. Even though there is not direct view of Mt Fuji, this is the place where you will be able to have the ultimate relaxation and private onsen experience! Jump into the onsen anytime you please and then rest in their huge 'rooms'! Select their dinner and breakfast options and you will never need to leave! Had the Presidential Suite for a couple of nights and it makes me feel army home with the large bedroom, separate lounge room and loft. With 200m-square space, you will certainly feel spoilt and never want to leave!
What a fantastic experience staying at this magnificent ryokan.Wonderful service and so helpful towards your needs.Got a room with private open air Olsen and a Japanese zen garden. An amazing experience over all.
Complimentary shuttle service by Alphard, service with a smile. Breakfast n dinner were superb, high quality of food served worth the price. Suite was so comfortable with Bvlgari and Pola toiletries. Will return for subsequent stays
A very pleasant stay”
It was great, they provided a free pick up from and to the kawaguchiko station. The time you enter the hotel you can feel a traditional japanese feeling, but the room is clean, spacious with modern bathroom. The service was really good, one lady, Reiko, she's been so kind, friendly and helpful. Took a some picture her. I cant wait to have my stay again in the hotel.
Well it kind of model ryokans but not too bad”
I stayed at a classic Ryokan a night before, then this Ryokan is much different. There room is quite model, not very classic. However, it is very clean, very close to local restaurants (a Ramen shop about 4 mins walk away). To sum up, if you are looking for a classic Ryokan experience, look for another. But If you tried a classic ryokan before and too tough for you, I recommend this one.
love this hotel so much”
My boyfriend and I really have a good time in the hotel. the hotel provided private in & Out Onsen. They also served 5 star traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast. The staffs are so friendly (there is an old lady who served dinner and breakfast in the room; she is super kind.) However, the hotel is a bit far from Tokyo. Not recommend to stay to this hotel in the same that you just arrived Tokyo because they will provided dinner for only guests who come before 5 pm. Highly recommend to couples and family because it is very private hotel :)
great ryokan with personal onsen”
my stay was very pleasant. The room was very traditional and all the meals are served in the room. The foods was great was well as the outdoor onset. suitable for traveller who want privacy and yet have a feel of Japanese traditionl life.
Unique living experience in a Japanese house”
This hotel is located within 10 to 15mins walk from the Kawaguchiko train station which is a central point to travel up to Mt Fuji. The hotel provides complimentary pick up from the train station. This was very convenient and once we arrived there were staff members taking us through to our rooms and giving us a tour around the place. Once we settled down we were left free to explore the facilities. The rooms were very large and spacious and had everything we needed. The private onsen was the best thing in the suite along with the Japanese dinner and breakfast. It was one of the best nights stay we have had in Japan and was a real eye opener to see how the Japanese lived. On the day we left we walked to the nearby Lake Kawaguchi before heading back to the train station.
