    Excellent”

The hotel is not well maintained. Very old and dark corridor. I stayed in a female only Dorm and there is a musty smell in the room. Toilets are shared between Males and Females on the 5th floor. I feel that there is no privacy. However, what makes up for it is that the location of the hotel is just next to the Red Line bus stop. The view out of the window was also good. The traditional Japanese breakfast served was also delicious. The onsen facilities (separated by gender) was not too bad as well. Staff are generally polite and friendly and can communicate in English too. Thumbs up! Thank you.

Good Hotel Ruined by Rude Guests”

Convenient location to the lake, cheap stay, friendly staff, yada yada. And of course the only thing I hated was something that's somewhat out of their control. During my stay, I visited their onsen the same time as a bunch of mandarin-speaking travellers. They were beyond disrespectful, and this is not even nitpicking on them wearing swimwear or standing while showering and splashing soapy water to their neighbours (which they do). They were walking around with their cellphones and they'd leave their indoor slippers basically anywhere you can think of, except for the shoe cabinet at the entrance of the baths. The best part? They would wear yours out afterwards so when I was leaving the baths I had no idea where to even find a pair of slippers. Luckily a local man saw me in distress and helped me fetch another pair from outside to save me from walking around the hotel barefoot. Make sure to check who you are bathing with before you enter... Good value comes at a steep price.

The onsen and location next to Lake Kawaguchi is what makes this place. Other than that do not expect conventional showers. You are expected to shower at onsen naked amongst other females if you’re female or males if you’re a male. Coed bathrooms with cold sink water on the hostel floor but warm toilet seats. The hostel seems like an after thought places in what looks like an attic feels creepy at first but then you get used to it. Fridge and tea pot but no kitchen as this is really a hotel. Nice view of magical Mount Fuji from all woman room great to see every morning.

Great experience at great hotel with good service, facilities and location”

While we stayed at this hotel, most of the other guests were Japanese nationals, which we took to be a very good sign concerning the quality. The staff is able to speak English and was very helpful and friendly whenever we had a request or question. We had a simple yet cozy and clean Japanese style room and we could see the summit of Mt. Fuji if we looked sideways through our window. Both the breakfast and dinner at the hotel were traditional style and delicious. The hotel's hot springs were clean and comfortable and a great way to relax after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel is located at the lakeside and there is a great view point to see Mt. Fuji with a part of the lake right across the road in front of the hotel. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the Kawaguchiko trainstation which is also the main starting point for all the sightseeing busses in the area. There is also a nice souvenir shop less then 5 mins down the road, just turn left in front of the hotel.

Old hotel with nice view ”

The hotel itself is very old but the view is very nice. It is facing Mt Fuji so you can enjoy the scene at your room. The outdoor onsen looks great but need more cleaning... Facilities are dated but with the view and price I have no complaint. The breakfast was okay.

    Not good hotel, not recommended”

The location is far, expensive and terrible staffs. The management is also very stingy, everything is charged and only provided a small bar soap (no shampoo, no bath soap). The worse thing is they charge for kid even just after 3 years old (beware of this surprised charge). Don't waste your money & ruin your holiday.

Really nice traditional japan experience with Mt. Fuji view”

Really nice traditional Japanese rooms, spacious, and best view of Mt. Fuji, staff were nice and polite, the lobby has a nice mini shop, restaurant has good food for dinner and breakfast, also traditional. A bit old design for rooms, and toilet but still functional, the bed was not so soft, compared to other hotel we stayed the next night, but all in all very nice stay and would recommend to others

    Excellent Value”

I have stayed in hot springs resorts in Costa Rica, Montana, and throughout Japan. This place was the best overall value for the money. It was not the nicest, but hands down it was the greatest overall value. The perfectly adequate room had an excellent view and the hot springs were exceptional. If the same price and rooms are available in the future, I will make this place a regular weekend getaway.

Location is satisfactory, at a walk-able distance (within 1km) of the ropeway and cruise jetty. Room is quite pricey for the given size (able to accommodate 2 pax, but a little cramped if there are sizeable luggage bags), but worth the experience given the in-house hot bath located both indoors and outdoors. Staff are friendly and upkeep the room diligently everyday.

Nice and spacious Japanese type room. Hotel was located on the route of the red and green bus lines with the stops just outside the hotel. From the park just across the hotel, you get a fabulous view of Lake Kawaguchiko, framed by brightly coloured autumn trees with Mt Fuji as backdrop. Hotel has nice indoors and outdoors onsen and also a big carpark convenient for those self-driving.

Close to Lake, nice Onsen ”

Staying here is a little like stepping back to the 80's, yes the hotel could do with modernising but I understand why they don't when they have the stunning beauty of Mt Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko on their doorstep! One area that doesn't need updating is the hotel Onsen which is a great facility at this hotel I highly recommend it especially after a full day of walking around the Lake. Nearest convenience store is a Lawson's about a 10-15 minute walk away.

    Traditional Japan Style Room”

I like the room very much because it's in Traditional Japanese style with futon on the tatami. The room is big (as compare to standard Japanese hotel) with very clear TV programme. Car park is free and there is a beautiful walking path along the lake in front of the hotel.

Nice Apartment with tokyo skytree view. We got very lucky with the room and managed to get a room with a view of Tokyo sky tree which looked amazing plus the beautiful Tokyo city view. Staffs were really helpful and great nice service. Very pleased that we chose this apartment. The rooms were very fancy and felt comfortable staying in them. Clean and had all the amenities we needed. you can easy take subway to anywhere you want as the station entrance is right beside the apartment. walking distance to restaurant and Super market other attraction. From Narita Intl Airport, we took skyliner to Ueno station and change to Toei Oedo line at Ueno Okachimachi station and drop off at Morishita station. Morishita station is a short walking distance away 1min. The room is on the 7th floor and can go directly to the rooftop. Pocket Wi-Fi (portable Wi-Fi receiver) is equipped, other In the room High speed internet. 2 bedrooms and living room is 90 m² wide. Air-con is good power. In the room provide security lock box. We got room with Fuji view ( japanese style room ). Very nice and charming. The package I chose is half board ( breakfast & dinner) which is enjoyable but not varieties just a traditional japanese with shabu ( hot pot) set which cannot refilled more food except rice. The location is less than 1 minute walk from bus no. 8 ( gem museum) which is frequently pass by red and green bus line. Also can walk from hotel to rope ways station (10-15 minute) walk

    Comfortable Stay”

    Comfortable, Spacious, Peaceful

We booked this hotel as recommended by a friend. Sure enough, the room is spacious and clean, the tatami beds that we opted for are super comfortable. The hotel is location near the Retoro Bus Station and about 20 mins walk from the Kawaguchiko Station. Having data plan & goggle map, we chose to walk from Kawaguchiko Station to the hotel, which wasn't really bad after all. You can walk around the shop houses around the lake and you can find lots of souvenirs that you can buy. The hotel also provided us with dinner & breakfast, the dinner was sumptuous but we didn't really like the traditional Japanese breakfast. The onsen in the hotel is not exactly fanciful but it is free of charge with hotel stay. The hotel staff were also helpful in checking the opening time of the attractions for us. The only thing is that we were woken up by a playful spider in our room.
