Find hotels near Fujisawa in Kamakura, Japan

For tourists who wants to visit Kamakura and Enoshima at a leisurely pace, I would highly recommend them to stay at Fujisawa as it is more bustling in the night with restaurants and pubs and shopping. From Fujisawa, it is a 40mins scenic ride on the Enoden train to Kamakura and stopping by Enoshima Station and many other stations with sightseeing spots along the way. The whole day pass on the Enoden Train costs only 600yen, a cheap and nice way to cover both Enoshima and Kamakura!

Location was good, with plenty of restaurants and shops around, plus a few cultural attractions, and it wasn't far from Kamakura, where you'd naturally want to go if staying in the area. The few times we interacted with staff they were polite and helpful. The rooms were typical Japanese - relatively small, but the bathroom was very good size, and everything was comfortable. Booked last minute and thus had to take a smoking room, but while the floor smelled bad, the room itself didn't. Overall was very happy with my stay.

Almont Inn is a one minute walk from the north entrance of Fujisawa train station. The hotel itself is new and does not show up well on local GPS maps. I arrived in a taxi from the town one over and the taxi driver did not have it in his map and the hotel phone number was also not in his chart. Still, he got me to the right place. The room was small but comfy. Bed was firm and I had a great night's sleep on it. The bathroom is cozy but water pressure was good. I was surprised that the mirror did not have a heated defog area. Amenities were great, including a Nespresso coffee maker and a hot water maker. There was a laundry facility should you need to use it, 500 yen for wash and dry with detergent included. So if you're staying in Fujisawa, I highly recommend the Almont Inn. Be assured that the owners are actually the large chain Hotel Hokke Club so you're in good hands.

Easy to find near Fujisawa Sta. (7min walk). Just beside a post office. Near Seven Eleven and Family Mart. Provide hair dryer, cattle, pajamas, bathtub with hot water with amenities (comb, razor, shampoo, conditioner, soap, face cleansing, cotton buds, etc). They have coin laundry, cafe, restaurant, and many others facilities. The room itself are super clean and comfortable. The staff speak fluent english and friendly. Definitely choose this hotel again in the future.

The Fujisawa branch is typical of all the Tokoya Inn groups hotels I have previously stayed at.I ti s also extremely good value for money.Front desk: Multi lingual,efficient,calm and helpful. Rooms: Small, but larger than many in Japan,but extremely well appointed...contained everything I would ever need for my stay of one week. Spotlessly clean and all bedding and towels changed daily. In conclusion. This is an extremely well run city centre hotel run by a happy and efficient staff. Only drawback, and this is not just at this hotel,but Japan in general, the 4 or 5pm check-in. Not helpful after a 10,000km flight and early morning arrival into Narita followed by a 2 hour taxi/train journey from the airport. I got there at 8:00 am and had to wait until 5pm to take a shower. But as I say this is not uncommon in Japan.That said, I would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone on business, with a family or just traveling. Japanese breakfast buffet, free to all guests, is outstanding and very generous in variety.

We arrived early at the hotel to leave our baggage. By the time we return in the evening, the luggage are already placed in our room. Room is the most spacious we have come across in our trip to Japan so far. Hotel staff are very courteous & friendly. Do remember to visit the Fujisawa station tourist info center to get a map to the hotel as it can be quite confusing. However, once you have familiarized yourself with the directions, it is an easy walk to the Fujisawa station. Plenty of shops & eateries around the hotel. Rather than spend too much $ on guesthouses along the Enoshima coast, I will strongly recommend this hotel at a cheaper rate &,high comfort level.

Upon searching rooms we saw these higher-end ones available at an attractive price. Wow! This hotel has been renovated recently and it shows! The room itself is large, equipped with two double-beds. The ventilation and air-conditioning system, in the ceiling, is modern and silent. Room for all our luggage. A large desk space to comfortably do business work, and use a laptop. Sign of times, there were several USB charging ports at the desk and at the bed heads, for the cell phones. The large bathroom has two sinks, a top-of-the-line bidet toilet, a full-glass shower, plus a private hot bath that opens to the outside, hidden behind shades for privacy, with a small lighted zen garden decor. An absolute delight! (bath water temperature and filling are remotely-controlled at reception desk). If this is the trend for modern Japanese-style rooms, we're all in! We loved it. Non-smoking too. This room would put at shame most of the hotels back in my country.
