Doesn't have it all, but, good value”
Guest House Naraya doesn't have it all, but, if you want a clean place to stay for a good price, this is it. This is one of the cheapest guest houses to stay at in Fukuoka, aside from an internet/manga cafe. I stayed at Naraya in august, a very hot and humid month. I slept in the male dorm room on the second floor. So, I can't speak for other rooms on the main floor. Overall, given the price, it's a good deal. Facilities at Naraya are sparse; the 'kitchen' area is made up of a sink, mini refrigerator, an electric kettle, 6 plastic cups, a place for two people to sit (Two people sitting in kitchen fill the room) and a washing machine for clothes. So, that's it; no plates, no utensils, an empty water dispenser (tap water ok). It looked like they had bath towels next to the shower/toilet, but, wasn't sure. There weren't enough to go around, I had my own anyway. The good news is that it was very clean and other travelers were relatively quite and courteous. Beds didn't have sheets, only what appeared to be a mattress pad and a blanket. I didn't have sheets, but, this was adequate for me since it was very clean. the room was nice and cool, strong airconditioner. I had a good night sleep. So, if you're looking for a good sleep for cheap in a clean place, this would be the place. If you want a place to hangout, make food, share stories with fellow travelers look around. Fukuoka has many guesthouses.

Toilet have so many hair on the floor, the bed is quite clean but theresome left over thing from previous guest. No elevetor. If your travel with huge luggage, u can chose share room at lower floor ^_^

Stayed in this guest house last week of May. Place was walking distance from Nakasuka Wabata. Reception opens only from 3pm to 8pm.

Good for What it was, a place to sleep”
I stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. I was on the 2nd floor in the girls dormitory. There are 3 bunk beds and 2 single beds. The space is really small, which is expected in Japan. The bathroom was small, but had a shower with a tub, sink, and toilet. I really liked that there was another sink in the common area for everyone to brush their teeth and look in the mirror. There is a laundry machine, which is free and they provide soap. They also had shampoo and body soap in the bathroom. The kitchen had cups, hot water pot, refrigerator, and sink. The bottom bunk beds didn't have enough head space to sit in. That's my only major complaint. This is a Korean owned hostel, but they do speak English. If you come early they do have your name and room on a list on the bottom floor.

To me it was a nice stay. I had a bed, a kitchen, hot shower, toilet.. everything i needed. But the staff is not here most of the time, be sure you have a phone to call them when you arrive. We were only 3 for 8 bed so we had space, but when it's fully booked it must be hard because the space is small. My stay was OK !

I hope that they will clean the toilet- from the time I checked in up to the following day, the toilet was never clean. I hope that they will replace the bed sheets for each guest. I stayed for 1 night only and the bed sheets/ comforter were actually used, it had some hair on it. The wi-fi signal is weak. The heater is not sufficient to keep the room warm. The reception area has dirty carpet and the garbage are placed beside the refrigerator. They have a comment board in front of the locker. I read the comments of the guest dated last year and they all seem happy with the service. I hope the owner can improve the cleanliness of the hostel.

Quiet little guesthouse”
When I stayed in this guesthouse I was basically the only one there. Having stayed in other guesthouses where there were many people coming and going, I thought this place offered some tranquility. There is a washing machine in there so you save at least 400 yen. Actually it is easy to get here using bus number 32.

The location is good and staff were nice even though they do not speak any English. The place though is not exactly clean. My bed sheets had stains on them, I wasn't convinced they'd been cleaned/changed; the only toilet was dirty too. Also my bunk bed was extremely squeaky, one movement and it would make a terrible sound and shake. The heating was great though, in the room and shower.

Small space. Security to be improved”
Common room is kind of outdoor. But it's a cozy place. Corridor is extremely small and sometimes when someone was opening a door, getting out of the toilet, the whole corridor would be blocked. My main concern is the security of this hostel. I never saw the host of the hostel. We checked in ourselves by reading the front door code from the board at the common area. This is really weird cause basically people would just get in the front door, read the code and enter the hostel. I think this should be improved.

I thinks this guest house very not so good. Because, first not clean. stay 2 days, but after 1 day , didn't clean room. and wifi is very bad. not use in there 3rd floor. I really do not recommend this guest house for you. Of guest house which I stay, this is very bad.

Try your luck”
If you are arranged to a big room, congrat! U will have a not too bad stay. However, if you are like me, being arranged to an odd small room, with no air con, very noisy at night as it is on ground floor and a spider next to your bed, then good luck to u. As the hostel has no proper reception. The staff is invisible. Only some rude non english speaking korean ppl inside. I try to find the reception staff but all i could see were some paper on a notice board, seems directing me what to do, but no communication at all. Even worse is, the hostel is with open design. Open to public i mean. No lock and key for the rooms at all. I need to use a chain i brought with me to lock up my luggage to the bed in the room.

When I arrived, there was no water jug in the water dispenser. It took almost two days before there was drinking water. The room wasn't dirty, but it didn't feel clean either. The bathroom had a horrible smell of urine and wasn't cleaned the entire time I stayed there. I actually didn't see cleaning staff at all. There's usually no one at the hostel during the day, so good luck if you need help. I had to book this place last minute, so I guess I'm glad that this place was at least in the area I needed to stay.

안 좋은 위치 Bad location. 락커 없음 No locker for luggage, so you will not be able to keep and leave yours. 2층에서 와이파이 안 터짐 Wi-fi is disconnected in the room on 2nd floor. 와이파이는 1층에서만 가능 You can only use Wi-fi on 1st floor, when you need to. 식수 없음 No water for drinking. 방에 샤워기 딸린 화장실 딱 하나 Only one bathroom in the room. 침대에 커튼 없음 No curtain for each bed. 몇몇 침대 삐걱거림 Some of the beds is creaking. 보안 취약 Weak security. 전직원 밤 8시 퇴근;; Every staff get off their work at 8 PM. 직원 매우 친절 Staffs are very kind. 가격은 쌈 근데 그게 다임 It is cheap, but that is all.

Extreme bad experience”
Notice the rules of this hostel . Although it did not post on website. Ask and check them before u come, or u will be a homeless one!!!! I wanted to check in after 8 p.m. that day But the house keeper said I was too late,so they can't let me get inside! And they won't get my paid back :*( Please modify the check in time to before 8pm, or u will make many travelers become homeless .
