This is a lodging where a couple in their 60s stayed for 8 days on their first free trip to Fukuoka. It is conveniently located near Hakata Station or Tenjin, and the bus parking lot is right next to the lodging, making it easy to move around. The room was more spacious and convenient than the pictures, and they did not feel any discomfort during their 8-day stay. If you make a reservation for breakfast and dinner, it costs 12,000 yen, but the side dishes are neat and especially the delicious pollack roe made them feel satisfied. The staff were also friendly, and it is the best lodging in terms of cost performance.

I was initially skeptical because from reviews, the rooms were dated and had some complaints of stall smell. However, this hotel was the most responsive on Agoda messages with different queries. This hotel is very conveniently located at one of the major bus stops, and a mere 4 mins walk from one of the major subway stations. It takes less than 20 minutes to actually walk to Hakata station and was super accessible. The rooms are big because the hotel is quite old. However, that was a lovely feature because we had space for all our things and the repacking that we had to do. Additionally, the staff were super helpful with luggage forwarding and luggage storage. New bottles of water were provided every morning whether or not you wanted your room cleaned, and new pyjamas too! Absolutely loved this hotel at the time we stayed, and definitely recommended for an easy and relaxing time in Fukuoka.

We were given a room on the old building despite requesting several months ago to be placed in the newer building. As expected, the room smelled and looked old. There was always a pungent smell, which we assumed must be from the carpet, even though we left the air purifier on the whole time. The toilet was not aligned well, and the tiles beside the tub needs cleaning. Breakfast was okay. Service was superb. Will still recommend for travelers on a budget.

Location near a subway exit that has an elavator for your luggages. Few stops to Hakata Station which you can transfer to the airport line. Also near the bus stops, there’s already one in front of the hotel. One bus away from Tenjin and Hakata but you can also take a walk around 1km and just explore the shops or Tenjin Underground Mall. Near Tenjin Express Bus Terminal which you can purchase Fukuoka Tourist Pass and bus passes. They have amenities bar in the lobby so no need to bring anything. They have a nice lobby which you can hang out or work while having a coffee from Kamakiri Coffee (BTW, they don’t accept cash). Other coffee shops (like REC Coffee), convenience store, grocery, and drug store are nearby the area. They also have a restaurant but have not tried it. Staffs are friendly! You can leave your baggages. You can have your room cleaned everyday or just ask for new towels by sticking what you preferred on your door. Vendo machine, ice maker, laundry, wifi, hairdryer are all available. Room is quite “bigger” than other hotels in Japan since I can open two big luggages at the same time lol.

TLDR: value for money, especially if you can book at a good price. facilities are good, rooms are not very big but sufficient. very accessible for bus and train, lots of stores/restaurants nearby. staff are amazing. Booked rooms at a very good price. The hotel itself is very well-maintained, the lobby is very cozy and welcoming, and the staff are very warm, helpful and polite. The rooms are not very spacious, but the size is sufficient for our needs, especially our requirement for space for our luggage. It was a comfortable stay. The location is amazing; there's a bus stop just outside the hotel, and is not far from Hakata station. Lots of shops, restaurants, and even a market within walking distance. The hotel also has a coffee shop with some good beans (light roasts to dark, from many countries) and a cafe (that sadly we weren't able to try since there's so many spots to go to nearby). Wi-fi/Internet connection is good and fast, bathrooms are small but complete in necessities, though the step into the tub/shower is pretty high, at least for me who's 5'7" (170 cm).
