a little run down, good bed and a staff problem!”
Well, it was much like a run down apartment. The wall became off-white, though I understand perhaps air quality could do that. The heat worked about well enough. If colder then it was, it might have been a little cool in the room. The bed was nice and comfortable, which was the most important. On leaving (checkout) I was asked if had touched the water. My reaction was "the water typically put out for free?" and her colleague seemed to indicate to her to let it be and told me I was all OK. Sure looks like they were going to CHARGE for the water they left out for customers. There was no sign or notation of any kind. Also mapping was an issue. The written directions and the button opening GPS (when using your phone) seemed to be different. I made over a kilometer of walking. When I actually found it, with local help, it was nearby a subway. If was cleaner/maintained, correct map information, some staff not trying to charge for water, I would find a next visit to be nicer. Again, commend them on the bed and blankets.
Misleading / Misinterpretation ”
1. It was an apartment and NOT a hotel as I have expected. I arrived at 9:45pm. 2. The address is misleading and I have to search for more than 45 minutes to find and locate the 'hotel' when it is just around the corner of Jinsong Subway Station Exit B. 3. Upon check-in, the reception refused to give me the room as she insisted that I do not have a Chinese Visa on my passport. I explained that I do not need a visa to enter China as I have an APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) and I have not problem with airline and Chinese Immigration. My passport bears the Immigrant Entry rubber stamp! After more than another 45 minutes, she finally agreed to accept my ABTC and give me the key to the room. 4. I have paid cash to the hotel and I have been billed for CYN1,500.00 in my credit card statement.
I booked this for my friend. He is really interested in living nearby the 3rd ring road, so after comparing the prices, I chose Fulton. When moved in, he was crazy about the refrigerator, which was broken with awful smell and with the poor decorations. The door in the bathroom is old and broken. It's not a clean hotel from the pics he showed me. It's more than ¥300 per night, which isn't worth it!!! The location is just fine since other hotels with the same location can provide me with more comfortable memories.
Kitchen without working burner / hot plate”
1) Room was full of mosquitoes. Centralized AC was set too high, didnt help keeping the mosquitoes away. Unfortunately landed late, so couldn't find anyone at the reception to sort it out. 2) Hot plate wasn't working in any of the rooms. We were promised that it will be repaired but took 24 hours to get another room with working one. Had to come in between the sightseeing trip to shift things thereby wasting precious time. 3) Price is steep for rooms of given quality and that too at off-season. I know this as my friend had booked it in peak season during holidays.
We stayed for 5 nights and not even once did they care to change our bedsheet ! Mineral water in the room is not free. (it's chargeable at 5 yuan per bottle).
Good apartment hotel”
Overall, the stay was pleasant. One of the few apartment hotels with a kitchen. Theres a restaurant and supermarket in the same complex. Located right next to Jinsong metro station, very convenient.
The hotel is near to LRT station. My room washing machine is not working. I quite like the place.
The hotel is situated beside of MRT. However the name of hotel is different from what Agoda is showing. Therefore we had some hard time to find it initially.
The position is good and near the underground station, but it was quite difficult to find in the evening. The room facilities should be carefully inspected to avoid such embarrassing situation which the washing machine was out of order.
Great location, close to train station, supermarket, 7-11 etc. But the hotel itself is not so good.
good location, but the room stinks terribly”
The place is right outside train station, and sitting above a supermarket and a 24 hours 7-11. So location wise, it's great. The thing bothers me the most is the room stinks terribly. I stayed for a week, and my entire suit case is smoked, everything for the next week when I continue my business trip. I asked for a different room. But they are all the same. One more point is internet, it does not come with WiFi, only lan cable for broadband dial up. Keep this in mind if you traveling with laptops without lan connections.
Definitely hard to find”
I selected this hotel because it was near the Jingsong subway line10 and fairly close to the Panjiahuan Market where I do extensive shopping. Unfortunately, when I can in from the airport on the Airport Express the Jingsong Subway was closed so I had to take a taxi. Even though the driver had gps and we had the proper address, it took over 15 minutes to find the entrance to the hotel, which is really not a hotel, but a short-term apartment complex. The office is located in Building D which is recessed about 50 yards from the street and is in the interior of that building. It doesn't say Fulton Hotel on any sign that you can see from the street. It does say something about Freetown Hotel, which I had decided must be the same thing, but it isn't. The room itself was fine and it was quite on the 16th Floor.
Nice size room, clean, many amenities”
the only negative i have is that few staff could speak english; however, all of the staff was very helpful. the washing machine did not work in the first room i stayed. i reported this and the staff immediately moved me to another room - larger and nicer. they also helped me to move all of my luggage, clothes, etc. they then brought in a clothes rack for me to hang my clothes to dry. another time my internet did not work. the technician kept me updated and then came to my room to let me know it was up and working. i enjoyed the location as it was close to shopping, restaurants, and so forth. also a subway station was located directly in front of the hotel.
old furniture and not very clean... hard to find the front desk..
close to subway”
hard to find the hotel location. not that good service. why this hotel get 4 stars. this is a service apartment it isn't a hotel should be only 2 stars.
