The entire staff is very friendly and professional. The kitchen makes good food and the hostel is cleaned regularly. It's a great place to meet new friends from all over the world and the location is close to anything and everything you can want to do. If you ate very social or just need a good price on a bed this is a great choice. I came back for a second time after traveling around thailand for a month. I highly recommend this place for solo travellers and groups alike 💪🏼👌🏼🙏🏼

One of the best hostel in Bangkok”
It's a very clean property with almost all facilities available. Located in the heart of Sukhumvit Soi 11 which is close to many tourist joints. Most importantly, I very much liked the staffs who helped me out right from check-in to check-out. A big fat thanks to that amazing staff who not only booked a cab for me but also walked down with me till I get into the cab. I will definitely pay visit to Fun Wan when I visit Bangkok. Well done guys and keep it up. :)

Great value for money and location”
Can't really fault it - it does the job, the beds were SO comfortable, and it was super close the main hustle and bustle of Sukhumvit and the BTS. The area around it is pretty expensive to eat and grab a pint, so if you're on a budget I'd go for a bit of a walk to find somewhere to eat and drink.

My only gripe I had with this place was the communal space, and the ground floor in general. As a non-smoker I found myself getting a lot of smoke from people smoking at and near the bar, even if I was far away from them in the communal space on the same floor. Because the smoking area is undercover the second-hand smoke isn't able to escape, so even if you don't find yourself with a cough like I did, you will likely find that whatever you are wearing will smell of smoke the next day. Gross. The main communal area could probably be improved by having fans blowing the other way (towards the smokers and out into the street), but if you are a non-smoker then the bar is off limits and i'd seriously consider heading elsewhere to 'commune' with people. It's never going to be perfect due to the design and there is such limited space to work with that I understand there is only so much you can do. Everything else about Fun Wan was fine, the staff are great and location is perfect next to BTS.

So so, very cheap”
It was the cheapest solo (fan) room I found in Bangkok so if you want to save money, this is the place for you. The downside is that it is hot and there are no windows. In the common toilet and shower, I see lots of coackroaches hiding in the plant pot. I see coackroach also at my room. Also, if you are not the party type of person, this is not for you as outside there are lots of bars and people partying. So noisy. But the good part, the staff are nice and the place is pretty near Nana station.

Really boring place and unfriendly staff”
This place is advertised as a party hostel. Forget party, it does not even have the vibes of a hostel. Unfriendly staff who mostly keep only to themselves and converse only among themselves. Guests feel like aliens. I chose it for the location, but helps if u have staff that is even a little bit interactive. One of the staff had also rude behaviour. Why wud you be in hospitality if you dont want to smile or even interact??

Cockroaches in private room”
i booked a private room , just for storage and a quick shower before my flight. I found living and dead cockroaches in the room, told the reception and they wiped them away. They told me they come from the indian restaurant nearby. However - I just booked it for storage and a quick shower. I am not familiar with hostels, but the bathroom was thai standard and the receptionists were friendly. They clearly need to find a solution for the insects.

This place is strange,.... everywhere they advertise their alcohol and that they kick out everyone who brings his own. That's weird and not sympathic at all.

I was recommended Fun Wan Hostel by a fellow backpacker who mentioned it's the best place he had stayed in S.E.Asia for such a low price and I can second that. Cheap, Clean, Convenient Location, Comfortable and has great staff and large common rooms. Definitely stay here, you won't find better overall value anywhere else. Thanks Fun Wan, keep up the great work.

Had an Incredible Stay”
The place is great for such a low price. Was really impressed with the size and comfort of the beds, best I have experienced in a hostel and a hotel for that matter. The room is a decent size. The staff made my experience great. Got tons of insider tips from the morning and afternoon female staff. They did have one male staff who didn't seem to know much but the owner gave me loads of advice for Bangkok and Thailand. Will definitely be back before I fly home. Highly recommended.
