Great Bangkok Option!”
Mad Cow Hostel was simply amazing. Still under renovations, but nevertheless very comfortable, safe, social and in a prime location (walking distance to MRT and BTS stations). A perfect place to socialize and make new friends. The staff were absolutely amazing. They helped me plan my entire Itinerary in Bangkok, and were able to answer any questions I had. Highly reccomend this hostel to anyone planning a trip to Bangkok. Definitely coming back here in January.

Cheap. Cheap. Cheap.”
No surprise here. Very cheap hostel, almost a half price of others around. I don't understand why the Silom area is over priced compared to Skhumvit. The place was clean with basic facilities. Clean washrooms/shower, huge comfy bunk beds with curtained privacy. The aircon ok except they have 12-6pm shutdown period but most of time I was out anyway. Great food and cheap drinks are served in the lounge downstairs where I met many interesting people. Staff were friendly but didn't have any knowledge/ information for tourists. But overall it was a great stay. Great value for the money.

A great budget hostel!”
On each of the best budget hostels in Silom area in this price range. Cheap, cheap, cheap, probably the cheapest in the areal, and yet clean rooms and washroom, hot shower, good wifi, moderate facilities, cheap beer lounge to hang out and etc. Also it's in a great location. Great value for money!

Good low end value hostel with great potential”
First time in Silom area and this hostel was a great place to start. Everything was closed by, only 15 meters away from the main Silom road, and not more than 5 min. walk to Chong Nonsi BTS station. The best thing about this place was the price. Due to unfinished renovation, the hostel knocked down the price by 50%. Still the place was clean and comfortable enough and good for one or two nights stopover.

Great!”
Considering the cheap price, probably the cheapest in Silom area?, it's one of the best budget hostels I've stayed. It's super basic but very clean and quiet in a great location. I also liked the hippie loung/bar with cheap beers I met a few cool people there.

What a cheap place! But great value for money!”
This place must be the cheapest hostel in Silom and it has unexpected great value. I ended up staying more than a week there. Clean, comfortable and a little bit noisy at night because of a watering hole downstairs, I really did enjoy my stay. Thanks Sean for your hospitality!

Good place, great price”
This is not the fanciest of hostels, but it's clean and in a good neighborhood, close to public transportation and gay bars. The common area was not super lively while i was there, but it didnt stop me from having drinks and fun with the other guests. Theyve got a bar that is not stocked but if they run out of beer theyll run across the street and get you one. Or you can just bring in your own. The beds are hard, but i like that so not a problem. They have electrical outlets and reading lamps (always convenient). The bathrooms are clean. Based on location and price, I'd definitely go back. I was supposed to stay only one night and stayed for...4 or 5 I think. Good times in bangkok!

Nice concept for bunk beds”
Usually, I dread going to Bangkok hostels as the cheap ones always have a reason why they're cheap at the first place. But with Mad Cow Hostel, it's a $1 or $2 pricier but I understood why. Their bunk beds are unique such that you have curtains giving you privacy in your own bed. They thought out little things such as slippers provided for use in bathrooms. But I think the real asset for this hostel is the lady taking care of it. She was very attentive to your needs and made sure you're comfortable. Their sports bar could use improvement but I have to admit I enjoyed watching NBA while staying there. A suggestion I would like to make is to improve the bedsheet as it felt a little rough to the skin, other than this, this hostel is highly recommended.

Very very cheap, comfortable”
Most of time, you get what you pay for but this hostel was much better than expected. Nice big, quiet and clean dormitory with big mattress; good enough for people travelling on a budget. I also stayed in a private room a couple of days and it's clean and quite too, although small and cramped. Of course, there were some issues but overall, the incredibly cheap price and good location override them. Great value for money.

great value for money budget hostel”
it was a great stay at this hostel. for me, overall it was a great value for the price i paid, probably cheapest in the area. clean rooms, thick and large mattress, new facilities and staffs trying very hard to accommodate the guests though they were not that informative...

Great value good area of BKK”
Pretty mellow hostel. A welcome change from kohsan and Sukhumvit. The dorm beds have big wide mattresses a curtain, reading light, and an power outlet. The aircon and wifi worked great! There is a place to lock up your belongings. The showers are hot and bathrooms clean. Cheap beer and a large screen projector. The very nice lady who runs the place even stored my luggage while I went to the islands for a week! Tried to go back but there were no beds available. A good hostel

good value for money/ good location”
Nothing really fancy and lack of some basic amenities but clean and quiet enough for a good night's sleep. Under or around 200THB per night, this could be a cheapest and one of the better budget hostels in Silom area.

Good stay”
We stayed at here for 2 nights, the place is near to Chong Nonsi BTS skytrain, so you can access easily to those shopping areas such as Siam Centre, Pratunam and Siam Paragon, 7-11 is nearby too, each bed has own light and plug, it's a good thing for travelers, but cleanliness should be improve and the staff should be more friendly a bit, overall it was a good stay at here, this price is quite rare in here especially Bangkok this big city.

Good budget hostel”
Cheap, cheap, cheap! This hostel is definitely for people traveling on a budget and it is a good one. Although it has some issues such as mediocre facilities, not enough staff and etc., I'd say cheap price and great location override them. Also relatively clean and quiet, it's a good value for the money.

Such a cheap hostel you can’t go wrong”
However I found the social aspect of this hostel non existent. The WiFi was super fast. All in all, great hostel with great location but don’t expect a party hostel.

Great Value and Location”
It was just what I needed. Clean and perfect location for a great price. The only negatives that I have are that it is dimly lit compared to the bright photo (I prefer it to be bright) and the door appears to be locked all night with no alternative exit in case of a fire. At least I was not told of the alternative exit.

Good, clean and chill location”
Good place, rooms and bathrooms clean, staff correct. I usually don't like to sleep with aircon but they put it soft from 6pm to 12am which was convenient with the hit of may in Bangkok. BTS 10 min walking, buses to all districts directly in the main street, river's pier close as well for express boats for visiting Bangkok. A good hostel to stay if you want a chill district to stay in the crazy bangkok.
