    Romantic, large bathroom, delicious breakfast.”

Spacious room, large bathroom, delicious breakfast

Stayed 2 nights at budacco and 2 nights at Furama Silom. Called the hotel at 10am to request for early check in and they readily agreed to let me check in anytime. It costs 250 baht cab fare from pratunam to furama silom. Check in procedure was fuss free. The deluxe room was spacious and the bathroom was huge! Furama Silom deluxe room was almost twice the size of budacco room. The bed was very comfortable too. Lovely breakfast spread. The crossaint was very good. It was one of my best meals in my 5D4N in Bangkok. Overslept and miss the breakfast on the second day. The bed was simply too comfortable. Do note that the hotel does not provide any shuttle bus to the bts station. Not a problem though because is walking distant to Chong nonsi BTS and only 7mins train ride to Siam BTS. Would like to give special thanks to a short hair middle age receptionist. She went the extra mile to help me called up the restaurant where I left my shopping bags. Fortunately, with her help, I manage to retrieve all my items. I highly recommend furama silom deluxe room to couples who are looking for a romantic getaway.

Great breakfast. Comfortable modern room. Friendly staff

Every time I travel to Bangkok, I stay at Furama....even back to the days when it was formerly called "Tower Hotel". It is in walking distance (10 mins) to the Sky train (Chong Nonsi stop), and Silom night market and the famous Soi 2 and Soi 4 districts for nightlife and street market shopping. Pullman Hotel is across the street. The staff is consistently friendly and professional and speak English very well. They are very helpful and eager to assist. The only negative aspect of Furama is the poor Wifi reception in the bedrooms. Often I'd have to sit in the hall or the lobby to get fast reception. There is a nice pool on the top level and the view from there is beautiful at night. Furama has standard rooms and deluxe. I have stayed in both, yet for the price, I always choose the deluxe for the fresh look of a new room and the comfort of the huge bed. The bathroom may be a new experience for some, (with 2 glass walls), yet small blinds can be pulled down to add privacy to that area of the room. Personally I like this modern design touch. The bathroom is modern with tasteful fixtures. Room safe, great AC and huge TV in the main bedroom. I plan to stay there again, when I visit Bangkok.

    Good location Good Price”

    Great location for street shopping.

We needed a place to stay for a few nights in Bangkok and wanted to be near some of the shopping areas. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, but needed to make sure my wife would be comfortable. The Furama Silom Hotel fit the requirement. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The rooms were large compared to a typical Asian hotel. The complementary breakfast was well above the average hotel that we have stayed at in the past. The location around the hotel was filled with shopping. If you are looking fora five star luxurious hotel this would not be the place, but if you want excellent value and a comfortable stay, then the Furama Silcon Hotel is place you will be happy at.

    Pleasant stay”

Clean rooms, good airconditioning, excellent buffet breakfast

my daughter and i recently stayed at the furama silom hotel. we found the room to be clean, the airconditioning good and it had a small but perfectly adequate swimming pool. we received a warm welcome from the staff and throughout our stay found in particular the staff who deal with the taxis excellent. (we often just showed them where we wanted to go and they gave the explanation to the taxi driver for us.) a few of the desk staff had a more limited knowledge of english. the buffet breakfast offered a great range of options for all tastes. it catered for those who wanted to eat a completely western breakfast right through to thai options. it was well worth having the option with breakfast included. the hotel is only a short walk (5 minutes) to the bts station chong nonsi. this was a great way of getting around the city. it would be possible to get to the hotel using the airport link and changing to the bts but we found it more convenient to catch a taxi (we arrived by plane in the mid-afternoon from siem reap and did get caught in traffic but the fare was still only about 500 baht including the expressway tolls). the return taxi cost about 350 baht including tolls. i ended up spending part of my time in hospital with a bout of dengue fever but my 19 year old daughter found it relatively easy finding her way to and from the hotel by both taxi and bts. the bnh hospital (private, international hospital) was actually only a 15 minute walk away and offered a good service if you need to see a doctor (i found them to be very professional in my week long stay although some staff had limited english). there were some street stalls set up in the evening which made for interesting brousing just along the street from the hotel. for those craving mcdonalds - there was one about 10 minutes walk along the road! we would be happy to stay at the furama silom if in bangkok. the rate we got on agoda was a good deal but would not want to pay the full price.

An excellent choice in the Silom area”

The Furama has had a facelift, at least on the floor I was on, with nice, newly-decorated rooms. I come to Bangkok 2 or more times a year and I have stayed many times at the Furama and I always enjoy returning here. The rooms are spacious, quiet and comfortable. WiFi and TV worked well in the room. The water in the shower was usually pleasantly warm but is not really hot. The hotel is easy to access by taxi via the toll road from the airport and a skytrain station is just a short walk away. The buffet breakfast offers a wide and varied choice. As this is a large hotel, the restaurant area for breakfast can get quite busy at times. The restaurant serves buffet meals at lunch and in the evening. There are many shops, restaurants and a night market in the area. I will probably stay at the Furama again on future trips. An excellent choice in the Silom area

    Great location in Silom”

Value for money. Huge Superior room. Great stafff

I have been traveling to Bangkok for many years and I repeatedly stay here at Furama. The location is great and in walking distance (10 minutes) to the SkyTrain and Chong Nonsi station. It's a 10 minute walk up Silom Street to the always busy and popular night market, Soi 2 and 4 night clubs, Silom Complex Shopping mall as well is a 10 minute walk away on SIlom as well. The hotel has refurbished it's executive floors...... for the deluxe rooms and they are nice. Both the superior and deluxe rooms are the same size but the deluxe room is more moderin with a much nicer washroom and shower area. I have stayed in both room types and have been staying in the Superior room lately to cut down on travel costs. A bed is a bed is a bed ;-) The Superior room is huge, with a sittiing area, fridge and a fine size WC. Water, bathroom supplies are replenished daily by a great housekeeping staff. The breakfast is very busy due to a high level of overseas travellers. The food is OK. Just OK and they have only one person on the egg / bacon station so there is always a wait for those items when you have that craving ;-) But you eventually get if if you show patience and wait your turn in line ;- . There is a choice of Western and Asian foor to choose from. You wil not go away from breakfast hungry. My only negative aspect about this hotel is the AC in the room. It is VERY strong and VERY cold and it's hard to adjust to a medium temp for comfort. If you turn it off, you die from the heat immediatley. Keep in on??? (even at low) you need your blankets ;-) But overall, a very fine stay and I'll certainly stay here again when I return to Bangkok. Hats off to the guys working in guest services. ALWAYS helpful with that great Thai smile ;-)

Great breakfast buffet. Professional staff. Close to Sky train

I have stayed at Furama before when I visited Bangkok. The staff speaks very good English and are very professional. The buffet breakfast offers a great choice of western and asian dishes. I tend to select the deluxe rooms. Not much in the difference in price, but the quality of the room is far nicer than the standard rooms. Deluxe rooms are on higher floors as well. Large bed, huge TV, modern room. The only negative aspect of this hotel is poor WiFi reception in the bedrooms. There is a pool on the roof and the view of Bangkok is very nice from up there. Silom night market and entertainment district (Sori 2 and 4) is within 15 mins walk. The skytrain is about a 10 min. walk to the hotel. Great location and service. I'd highly recommend this hotel to visitors to Bangkok.

    I keep returning here”

    Location, spacious rooms, easy access

This is my 3rd stay at the Furama in the past 5 months, so I have reviewed this place before. The Silom-Sathorn area is where I prefer to stay in Bangkok and the Furama seems like an excellent choice. I keep returning here and have already made plans to return again in a couple of weeks. If you prefer small boutique hotels, then the Furama is not for you as there are around 20 floors of rooms. The personnel are friendly and efficient Getting to and from the airports on the toll road is usually fast and the taxi can drive right up to the hotel lobby without having any steps to climb. The Chong Nonsi Skytrain station is about 10 minutes away. . The rooms are spacious, although rooms on certain floors may have older furnishings that need to be renovated. The pool is on the roof, and is in the sun all day. A large choice is offered for breakfast Coffee is not served at the tables and the coffee machines are located very far from the seating area. Wi-fi works well, but to get a connection, it may be necessary to get a special “firewall” number from reception in addition to the password.

    Excellent”

Furama Silom Hotel Bangkok I was given the room on the 14 floor. This was my first time staying in Furama silom hotel. Everything looks good. Staff very friendly, room clean and big toilet. But one thing really bad, the sound proof of the wall. I can hear next door talking, hitting the wall, flushing sound, or when closing door the loud bomb sound go straight to our room. And this kind of sound was very frequent. So if the next room were quiet people then you are lucky. Im not that lucky. At 1am a group of people, playing, laughing loudly, hammering wall, and shouting. I have to go down to inform counter staff on the first day. So, if you book this room just for 1 day night sleep is ok. A week stay, or work from hotel, maybe not. And to order food to room only start 3pm. Is not 24 hours.

    Great Hotel”

    Staff performance, location and cleanliness

We have stayed at Furama Silom several times now, we find their service fantastic and their staff very helpful to our needs. The location in Silom is perfect for our purposes, close to good restaurants, massage, dentist, hospital and all the services Bangkok has to offer. close proximity to the skytrain and night markets. Again staff performance has been great. NB: One criticism to all Furama hotels we have stayed is the wifi service, which ideally should have a locked set-up vs the open page with necessary password, which inadvertently can have security issues. Other than that great stay!

A great breakfast and a good place to stay.”

This was my second time at Furama and I love it. I arrived early in the morning after a long flight and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I only had a short wait until they found me a room. This time I upgraded to deluxe and it was a nice improvement. I got my room at a sharply discounted rate so that made it even more attractive. There are many other nice hotels around at the rack rate price. The buffet breakfast is the tie breaker for me! There is a wide variety of both Asian and Western food along with an egg station. I compare it to a cruise ship breakfast buffet without the lines and shoving and pushing! The hotel is easy to find and well situated on Silom Road. I only have 2 minor negatives. The WiFi is ok for checking email and general surfing but not really strong enough for streaming. Even small video clips on Facebook take a little time.. The nearest BTS train is about a 10 minute walk which is good exercise but the heat and humidity of Bangkok make it a bit of a challenge. I have already booked my third stay in a couple of weeks.

Excellent choice in this price range”

    Good location and large rooms

Recently, I stayed 2 times at the Furama. It is located right on Silom Road, not far from the Chong Nonsi Skytrain station. There are 19 floors of rooms offering sweeping views. The large pool and a bar are on the 20th floor, so the pool is in the sun all day long. For my first stay, I was lucky and had an upgraded room. Wow! What a lovely, spacious room with new furnishings, many electric outlets and a large, new, sparkling-clean bathroom. For my second stay, the room was large but the furnishings and bathroom fixtures were much older. Everything was certainly clean and comfortable. There were no convenient electric outlets and for the air conditioning, I could adjust the temperature, but nothing else. The breakfast area is large and there is a wide variety of choices for all tastes. At first, I was unable to get wi-fi in the room, then a receptionist gave me a special code to bypass the “firewall”, and everything worked perfectly. I will probably choose the Furama for my next stay in Bangkok.

    Friendly Hotel”

Well appointed rooms and very friendly staff

Overall I enjoyed my stay at Furama Silom hotel. The staff could not have been more friendly - at reception, the bell boys, the dining room staff, the maids for the rooms, even the lass who came to collect laundry. All the staff have been very well trained in politeness, courtesy, helpfulness and smiles. You could not wish for better. Also, the rooms were well appointed and contained everything a tourist could possibly wish for. The rooms were very comfortable and had all I needed. One slight disadvantage was its situation - a little way away from shopping areas. In very hot weather walking is not very desirable. The breakfasts were delightful.

i stay at the furama silom hotel from 7/6/12 to 8/6/12. although it is a short stay,i enjoy thenumerous hotel facilities provided. the swimming pool at the 20th floor is quite big and let me have a good swim. the breakfast is good with many varieties of food. service is also good, espcecially the front office staff. the only thing bad is there is no coffee/tea in the room.but the room is clean and spacious with a big sofa. the bed is also cozy and let me have a good sleep. the aircon is working well and the bathroom is clean. lastly but not least, the location of the hotel is good - near to the chong nonsi bts - only 10 minutes walk where you can the train to nightlife areas like patpong.

A good simple hotel to spend a few days in”

    1) Centrally located 2) moderate pricing 3) good smiling polite staff

We went there during the time that Bangkok was going through some political unrest. This part of Silom where Furama is situated is safe from all the political demonstrations. So we had a good quiet time enjoying the services provided by Furama. The hotel is very peaceful unlike some other hotels and the price as I said is moderate. It is within walking distance to the famous Hindoo temple and we went there several times to make requests and say thank you. If you like walking you can easily walk to the famous Pat Pong shopping and night life. Along the way there are many massage shops and you can get a good refreshing rub down. Food along the way also is plentiful and you can indulge yourself, from cheap hawker fares to expensive and tasty restaurants in Dusit Hotel.

On my top list place to stay in Bangkok”

    Room size, location, Decor

Furama Silom is not a high profile hotel amount all the hotels in Bangkok, which makes it great, it maintains a bouquet style yet provide good standard hotel service. You will amazing how clean and well decor the room is with this price range. It's the very top list of my choice of the hotels in Bangkok.

    Great location”

Very big rooms, good view from the room, very good breakfast, also a very good location visiting othes places in Bangkok

We really liked our room in Furama Silom hotel. It was really close to Lebua at state tower where we went to have drinks. Also the staff in Furama Silom was really friendly and helpful. Great view from our hotel room and breakfast was also very good. Did not use the pool, so nothing to say about that. I reccomend this hotel for trips when you go sightseeing, shopping, seeing nightlife etc.

Great Hotel right in the middle of everything”

Great pool, modern rooms, very spacious, amazing breakfast

Stayed here for 4 nights in December. The hotel is located at the start of the silom rd. The hotel has recently been refurbished so the rooms have modern fixtures and are extremely spacious and comfortable. The was upgraded to a deluxe room by one of the very friendly check in staff. The rooms have a balcony that overlook the hustle and bustle of silom rd, it is perfect if you are a smoker and don't like to smoke indoors like me. The hotel has an amazing breakfast one of the best that I have seen in Thailand and I have stayed in close to 20 hotels in BKK alone. The hotel also has a beautiful roof top pool with sweeping views of the city. I had noticed some people complaining that the hotel is near a cemetery. I don't see why this would bother any one, I found the cemetery quite beautiful and would always adire the view while waiting for the lift. I think the only thing i did not like about this hotel was that the wifi was not complimentary. I find that most hotels on silom rd charge for wifi. It is 500 baht per day and can be used in the room which is great. I have stayed at two other hotels on silom rd that charge for wifi that you can only use in the loby. over all a lovely stay. It is in walking distance to a BTS station Chit Long from memory and is about a 10 minute walk to the night market and red light district. There is a taxi mafia guy outside the hotel that try's to inflate taxi and tuk tuk fairs so if you need a taxi make sure you ask the security or bell boy to wave one down for you and they will turn their meter off for you. My blood would boil every time that old man would try and get my attention. enjoy your stay!
