Comfortable hotel with a great location”
i have stayed at both furamaxclusive hotels in bangkok, and i think they are both comfortable, serviceable hotels. i was in bangkok for some medical checkups at bumrungrad, and had a really good experience there during my last time in bangkok. this is not a luxury hotel, but the staff are really friendly and the proximity to bumrungrad (2 minute walk to the hospital, tops) really can’t be beat. if you are having any kind of procedure that requires follow-up appointments, i would definitely recommend staying at this hotel. you could stay at the much more expensive bumrungrad hotel, but why do that when the perfectly serviceable furamaxclusive is just a stone’s throw away? the room itself was very comfortable, with all the amenities one would expect in a hotel of this class. there was a full-size refrigerator, robes, slippers, a safe, lcd tv, etc. free wireless internet works decently in the room (they give you a code at check-in) but is much faster/reliable in the lobby area. the gym was small but adequate, with one treadmill and an elliptical machine, plus free weights and a seated weight machine. the pool is tiny and not on the roof, as pictured on agoda…it’s only separated from the street level by a high wall, it didn’t exactly feel like a nice place to lounge. breakfast was your typical asian/western breakfast buffet, not outstanding. however, the furamaxclusive does something i really like, which is, cook you eggs anyway way you like them. you get a little sheet of paper at breakfast that asks you how you like your eggs and if you want hash browns or mushrooms on the side. this sounds like a small thing but really made my morning. you can get there directly from the airport by taking the express train to phaya thai, then transferring to the bts and taking that a few stops to phloen chit station. you have to walk from phloen chit under the expressway and across sukhumvit, but it’s a lot cheaper than a taxi.
Great location and value for money”
We have stayed at FuramaXclusive Sukhumvit Hotel on four visits to Bangkok. The hotel is in an ideal location close to BTS Phloenchit Station and just off the Expressway. Thus travelling within Bangkok or to the Airport from the Hotel is very easy. It is also not too far from more vibrant part of Sukhumvit. The service in the hotel is very very good and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The reasonable price makes it affordable and a Hotel of choice.
Great hotel with good location”
I had a great 4 days stay at FuramaXclusive Sukhumvit Hotel. It was across the street from bumrangrad Hospital which was like a landmark for me to easily direct the cab driver to locate. It was also close to a BTS station which takes less than 10 mins of brisk walk. The room was clean and spacious. It also offered a microwave and sink which was convenient to heat up food items or to wash up after supper. Overall, i would definitely consider this hotel during my next visit. Also, this hotel is highly recommend for those who wish to recuperate from Bumrangrad since it just across a minor street.
Me and my wife stayed at FuramaXclusive Sukhumvit Hotel, room 514 for 10 days. This room was big enough for us and we really liked the room. We went to Bangkok for treatment purpose at Bumrungrad hospital which was very close to this hotel. Breakfast items were good. Hotel staff were very friendly. Overall i enjoyed staying in this hotel.
Dear Sir/Madam Ahsan, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience following your recent stay at FuramaXclusive Sukhumvit Bangkok . We are glad to know that you enjoyed your stay with us and thank you for recommending us on this platform. We hope to have a pleasure of welcoming you back again soon. Excellence in all areas”
My stay at the FuramaXclusive hotel in Sukhumvit, Banngkok was quite likely the most for my money that I have ever gotten anywhere in the world. People make good stays nice and the staff was great! They were willing to assist you in anyway that you needed assistance and always with a smile. The breakfast and the noon buffet was good if you like eating healthy and they also had some food for the calorie lover. The fruit was always very fresh and the food was prepared with excellence. The noon buffet offered very fresh green vegestables for the vegestable lover. I would almost travel to Bangkok just to be babied in this hotel. GREAT STAY!!!!
Perfect location for Bumrungrad Hospital”
FuramaXclusive Hotel is located across from Bumrungrad Hospital and is my "go to" hotel when I'm in Bangkok for a few days for the comprehensive health check and followup appointments. It's convenient to walk across the street between appointments. One the best features is the fruit truck that parks out front. Access to BTS rapid transit is about a 10 minute walk away or hop on the back of a motorbike for 10thb to get you to Sukhumvit Road.
My choice of hotel in Bangkok”
FuramaXclusive Sukhumvit Hotel is my choice of a hotel on my visits to Bangkok. This is my third visit. Rooms are clean and updated with furniture and decore. Centrally located.
We Loved It”
FuramaXclusive is on a well known back street close to a well known hospital so was easily found by the taxi driver and was also easy for him to access (fare from airport was quoted as 450 BAHT but it didn't cost that much). Easy to get around from hotel location as it is very close to Phloen Chit skytrain station and Nana is also within easy walking distance. There were always taxis down the street and on most occassions a tuk tuk as an alternative. We were greeted on arrival with 'Welcome Home' which was indicative of the staff and how keen they were to always be attentive and assist us with everything we wanted. The room was well appointed with all the normal hotel stuff and was well serviced during our stay. The king size bed was firm and comfortable with a selection of pillows. The gym is basic but adequate. The pool area is small but big enough to relax and cool down at the end of the day whilst enjoying the free nibbles and drinks (including beer) offered during happy hour. The spa (which is at one end of the pool) wasn't working on our last evening but when brought to staff attention they looked into it straight away and advised it would be fixed in a couple of hours. Breakfast was available from 6:30 until 10:30. The food selection was very diverse and there is no need to go hungry. The drink selection was not as broad. Didn't eat any other meals there as there were so many other places to try nearby. Will return on our next trip to Bangkok.
Convenient , friendly, and reasonable rate”
The hotel is located in Sukhumvit Soi 1, which is less than 1 minute walking distance from Bumrungrad Hospital, the best hospital in Bangkok. It's very convenient for people who like to stay in Bangkok for check-up or any medical activities with the hospital. The hotel itself is very modern, the room is comfortable with simple and nice decoration, clean, free Wi-Fi in the room and very friendly staff who are very helpfull and hospitable. The location is near to a lot of good restaurants, international and local restaurants, shops pubs and bars, and it is not so far from the Nana train station. This is our second time staying in the hotel for our long stay in Bangkok. Definitely highly recommended when you do not want to be stuck in the traffic in Bangkok during peak hours, and the rate is very reasonable.
Bright and friendly staff. Comfortable beds!”
I decided to stay with this hotel because they had everything I needed to recover comfortably from my minor surgery at Bumrungrad Hospital which was only a 3 mins walk from the hotel. You only had to cross the street and you're there. I came alone to Thailand but the hotel made me feel at ease. I loved how the hotel had many street food vendors around day and night which allowed me taste authentic Thai food. The mango salad stall was superb! (Even better than what I had at the foodcourts). I stayed for 5 nights here and spent a lot of time inside my hotel room recovering. My room was very spacious and even came with a microwave, kitchen sink, big fridge and free wifi, so I was well and trully comfortable throughout my stay. Breakfast was always a friendly occassion - the host and attendants are very hospitable and allowed you to fill out a tick form to choose how you like your eggs etc. The only issue I had was that I had very noisey neighbours around my room, but the management were kind enough to organise a room change. The furnishings were elegant, slightly aged but still fantastic value overall. I would definitely use FuramaXclusive again! One of the friendliest hotel staff I have ever met.
The FuramaXclusive is a small hotel located on a road just off of Sukhumvit. A nice location as it is not that noisy, however it is located further down the soi/road. This may be a con to some as the BTS is about a 10 min walk away. There are convenience stores and restaurants near by and during the night a market fills the near by streets of Sukhumvit. The rooms are modernly decorated and larger than some other hotels. All amenities are up to date and each room has a small fridge, and partial kitchenette- no cook top. What makes this hotel however is its staff. They are all friendly and helpful with a range of things- from helping you find what there is to do, holding your bags (if you make a small trip outside of BKK), or if you need something changed in your room. The cons of the hotel are that because it is fairly small, only nine floors, there is not much of a view (besides the back of billboards or the apts next door).
Great location and honest staff”
I recently stayed at The Furama Xclusive with my ten year old daughter, for the second time. If you are traveling to Bangkok for shopping, sight seeing or medical care the location is excellent, an easy walk to everywhere. The hotel staff were consistently helpful and never once made us feel that children weren’t welcome, the way some hotels do. One morning my daughter left her purse at the restaurant and the staff returned it to her the next time she stepped into the lobby, before she had even realized it was gone. This made a great impression, as they could have easily got away with holding on to it. There were a lot of guests from the middle east, as well as Europeans, other Australians and Asian travelers, and the appeal was definitely very international. The rooms are well appointed and beautifully decorated in an understated but luxurious style, with quality bed linen and towels and everything in working order. The rooms are spacious, and we had plenty of room for all our shopping. The room had a DVD and CD player as well as cable TV and a very handy kitchenette, great when you are traveling with kids. There was room to spread out on the couch, have a meal, work at the desk and relax without getting on top of each other. Although this hotel is right in the middle of the city the double glass doors onto the balcony are double glazed and the room was quiet. The room service menu is not extensive, but reasonably priced and the food is good. The little Italian restaurant on this street is excellent, and you can get a great massage at several places within 50 meters of the hotel. If you are accessing medical care at Bumrungrad or the Thai Red Cross Hospital the location is perfect. It is an easy walk to and from Central Chitlom, other major shopping centers and the BTS, even for tired kids. This is a real bonus if you want to avoid sitting stationary in a taxi in Bangkok’s terrible traffic. This is a great hotel, just big enough to have everything you want.
As I was driven into this neighborhood, I didn't know what to expect. But I did my homework, and was very hopeful. Well, from the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was very impressed. Check in was speedy, and was ushered up to my room, which was another nice surprise. Everything was just so nice, clean & comforting after such a long & tiring flight & ride. I stayed for 3 nights, and wouldn't have minded staying for a whole week if I didn't have other flights to catch and places to go. The Hotel is located on Soi 1. If you leave the hotel and walk to the right, in about 5 min, you come up to the main road, Sukhumvit. Turn left to walk along Sukhumvit, and in about another 5 min, you'll see everything you were looking for, especially REALLY, late at night. Well, I didn't get to try the swimming pool, or to eat at the hotel, so I can't say much about either. My medium rating for "Food/Dining" is for necessity, not from experience. Soi 1, has a few things to be explored, itself.
Not what it used to be...”
my wife and i stayed at the furamaxclusive sukhumvit hotel on sukhumvit soi 1 in january 2012. we had stayed once before a few years prior and enjoyed our stay, so we booked in again as we got a good deal on the hotel rates. this hotel is in need of some renovations as our bathroom was looking pretty dingy and the towels were downright ratty. the staff are still very good and are helpful. the only complaint with the service was during breakfast i had asked the waiter if i could bring up breakfast to my wife who was not feeling well. he answered absolutely no, it was not allowed. i thought this showed pretty poor form. the hotel location is excellent. very close to the ploehn chit bts station. our flight out of bangkok was late in the evening and the hotel staff were kind of enough to store our luggage after check-out and allowed us to come back and use the shower facilities in the recreation area before we departed. the hotel is not what is used to be, but is still not bad value for the money.
Comfortable hotel close to Bumrungrad Hospital”
I've already reviewed this hotel but Agoda is prompting me to do it again, so here I go again: I was very happy with my stay during a recent trip to Bangkok for a medical checkup at Bumrungrad. The hotel is about a 3 minute walk to the hospital, so it's incredibly convenient and much cheaper than staying at the Bumrungrad Hotel across the street. Rooms were quite comfortable and spacious, not luxurious, but consider the pricepoint. All the normal amenities one would expect in a hotel and SEAsia were provided (robe, slippers, toiletries, safe, bottled water, etc.). Shower curtain in the bathtub was poorly designed as water would splash out onto the floor. Breakfast buffet is decent, with both Asian and Western options. Restaurant staff will give you a card to fix eggs however you like them, which is quite nice. There is a gym with free weights, cardio, and a weight machine, perfectly clean and serviceable. I didn't use the pool but it is rather small and being on the ground level, isn't really somewhere that would be pleasant to lounge in. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, especially the manager-looking guy at the front desk (can't remember his name).
Best reasonable hotel if you are going for treatment in Bumrungrad International Hospital”
I have explored many of the nearby hotels and single room apartments, FuramaXclusive Sukhumvit is the best option- considering cost, room size, in-room facilities, breakfast, proximity.
Dear Sir/Madam S.A.M., Thank you for taking the time to share your experience following your recent stay at FuramaXclusive Sukhumvit Bangkok . Good hotel in Sukhumvit soi 1”
It was a very pleasant stay at Furama Xclusive Sukhumvit Hotel. At first we thought the walk would be very long to the PloenChit BTS but it turned out fine for the 4 of us. Just in front of hotel one will be able to savour street food like sontam, grilled meat, fruits,3 stores of 7-Eleven and other local noodles/rice stuff along the road . Hotel is very clean and for a small hotel like this, we were impressed with the attitude portrayed by all staff. We have been to many other hotels throughout our years of travelling to Bangkok but this one is one of the best hotel.Buffet breakfast was adequate and freshly prepared daily. We have read other comments in Trip Advisor before staying here but I must say , you have to experience it yourself before you believe those negative comments. However as the hotel is opposite a hospital, it will be busy in the morning but it was no big deal . We will definitely stay here again if the rates in AGODA are still attractive.
Unico Grande Sukumvit, Bangkok”
Overall this is a very good choice. It's not as expensive as most of the bigger hotels in the area, although it does cost more than the more backpacker-type. It's only about a ten-minute walk to the closest skytrain station. On my February trip I was unable to get rooms here for two friends who were arriving later and so checked out many of the surrounding hotels--which made very clear that I had made the right choice in selecting Unico Grande Sukhumvit. If you are getting a taxi from the airport, be careful that you emphasize Unico Grande Sukhumvit, though, as there are Unico Grandes in several other neighborhoods and they will often mistakenly send you to the biggest one instead.
My stat at FuramaXclusive Hotel”
My stat at the FuramaXclusive Hotel Sukhumvit is wonderful. Staff are very friendly room is clean and spacious. Nice buffet breakfast.
Quick business trip”
I was with two other colleagues on a quick business trip to Bangkok and the hotel was recommended to me for the purpose we were there for as well as the ease of getting to our business venue. I was very pleased with the room as well as the breakfast which was included in the room price. All in all I can think of nothing that was bad about the hotel. The staff was extremely nice-and helpful. My short stay was one of my better hotel experiences in Bangkok. I will certainly stay at Furama Exclusive-Sukumvit the next time I have meetings in Bangkok.
