Very nice & kindly male receptionist! Even though the hotel doesn’t provide the parking place, he shows us how to deal with the issue! He also recommends us the wonderful breakfast store(興隆居）！ We quite appreciate him!

Great Value for money”
I always stay at the FX when I get a chance to visit Kaohsiung. The rooms are clean and comfy. It’s in a quieter part of the city, but only 4 mins walk to the MRT. Luihe Night Market is a 10 min walk away and a great place to grab street food. There are a convenience store and a couple of restaurants just around the corner too.

Good hotel in Kaohsiung”
The hotel is near the City Council MRT station and very easy to find. But the area where it is quite sad . You have to go to the other street and cross to Central Park where it is much busier and more things to do. Basically Kaohsiung is super quiet and feels a little deserted vs Taipei and there are only 3 subway lines. Do not book a morning flight here as the subways do not open until 6 am and the HSR station at 5:10 am. The hotel is a very nicely designed boutique hotel with very few things to do (including coffees and teas) so you have to go buy from outside. Good thing there is a 7-11 and Hi Life across the street. The rooms are very spacious and modern with a separate door for the bedroom from the facilities -- so nice! Bathroom is great with complete amenities. Staff could definitely improve in terms of attitude and service level. You need to smile and be more welcoming specially for guests checking in and out.
