Galaxy was perfect refuge in the craziness of District 1”
Owner and staff was very kind and extremely helpful. Room was very clean and had every necessary amenity. Felt like our home away from home. Breakfast was exceptional! Was also very quiet for being so close to the busy street. This hotel was our favorite part of Ho Chi Minh City. Thank you very much Galaxy Hotel.

Helpful Staff and Very Good Location”
Location is nearby Pham Ngu Lao and Bui Vien streets. It is also just 10 minutes walking distance to Ben Thanh Market and Saigon Square. There are a lot of restaurants nearby. The staff can helpful with all the info that you need. However, they are only very familiar with Vietnam tours near Ho Chi Minh , and not so much in Northern Vietnam. Nonetheless, they are very patient, friendly, and helpful on all my bookings. Having an elevator in Vietnam is always a plus. I will stay here again. Special thank you to their manager, Tim. He deserves a mention for helping me in clarification in my bookings.

Great little boutique hotel”
Fantastic boutique hotel in the perfect location. A short walk to the main area with bars and restaurants but completely silent at night. Offered a good buffet breakfast each morning. The room was a little small and lacked a window so there is no natural light but understandable for the price and location. Room is very clean and has a comfy bed, nice bathroom and good amenities. Well recommended.

We arrived at the hotel very late, around 1 am. The staff was still waiting for our arrival. I reserved both a room and dorms. Even the price is quite high comparing with other dorms but I still think it's valuable. The hotel is just opposite to the tourist office where we took a sleeper bus to Da Lat. The staff was very nice and helpful, he allowed us to leave our luggages when we were back to HCMC even that night we did not stay over night there. Also don't miss the grilled pork rice in front of the alley to the hotel. We think it was the most delicious dishes in our Vietnam trip!

good hotel located at strategic location”
The hotel is located at a strategic location which is in District 1 of HCMC. It is convenience for backpacker who are travel with public bus because most of the sleeper buses will be stop over at the main road of the hotel & can be reachable within walking distance in 200meters... most of the tourist spots of HCMC are located at District 1 area where can be arrived via walking from the hotel & the famous street pub/bar of HCMC is just located at the back of the hotel.

A wonderful stay in the family room ”
Strategic location. Stayed 5 in the family room, comfy beds. In room slippers provided, convenient for us to wear it to use the shared bathrooms at level 1 when our en-suite bathroom is occupied. Staff are very attentive, helpful and informative. Basic breakfast provided, good enough. Strong wifi. Good water flow. Some basic bath amenities are provided in room too. Glad that the room is quiet at night as we are light sleepers. The alley to the hotel may not be clean and dry, "unwelcome guests" can be spotted but the hotel itself is clean and safe. Highly recommended.

Affordable and Near a Park/Mall”
I'm with family that's not used to travelling outside my country and has not experience backpackers-type accommodation. But I selected this place based on it good reviews. Aside from the alley where one needs to enter before reaching the hotel which my family were not used to, the place is good. Just like in the reviews, though I could not remember the alley being mentioned. The free breakfast was adequate and our room was very nice. Much more space that typical hostels.

Value for money and Cleanliness”
Stayed for 4 nights in an individual single room. Friendly female receptionist. Pros: The cleanliness is beyond my expectation which is good. The satellite TV is clear and have a lot of shows available. However, no mini-fridge till I requested for it and it is quite dirty. Toilet is well maintained. Location is very near Bui Vien street, therefore it is ideal if you wish to stay near there. Although it is a street away, no music could be heard while in hostel when sleeping. Cons: Like other reviewers mentioned, the entrance to the hostel is in a back alley. If you like shopping, it will be quite a walking distance to Ben Thanh, Saigon Centre etc (20 mins-30mins). A nearby sense market is available though. Neutral: Breakfast is very simple, Banh Mi bread and simple egg with drinks... no complains for the price paid. Conclusion: If you a budget traveller and prefer to stay near Bui Vien... it is a value for money hostel where you can sleep peacefully at night.

Exceptional”
Price was reasonable. The room/bathroom was well maintained, clean and tidy, and it fits us good. Lots of TV channels to view (but we don't care much). Stable wifi connection on each floor. Free breakfast provided also not that bad. Only that the entrance to the hotel is through a back alley. Location wise, very good location. Easy to find nearby convenient stores, restaurants, bars, tourist spots, etc. Though near to main street/bars, we can sleep well in our room. We do lots of walking around to places of interest like Ben Thanh, Notre Dame Cathedral, Saigon Post Office, and etc. Overall, we love our stay here.

I stayed in Galaxy Capsule Hostel for 3 nights and I am very happy with their service. It is along De Tham street where most of the restaurants and bars are. It is also walking distance to bus stations to Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, Hanoi, Bangkok, etc. Best for backpackers and travellers who want convenience in their stay in HCMC.

Everythings is good. Staffs are accomodating. Location is near the tourists spots. The only thing that bothered me is the window without curtain. Hope they could do something about it. Anyways, i’ll still give them a good rating cause they exceeded what I’ve expected. Good hotel for a low price with good breakfast served every morning.

We find everything almost perfect, maybe because of our bad experience in bangkok on our 8day indochina trip. Breakfast is nice just perfect for our taste but don't expect a 3-5 star hotel kind of spread. Other reviews complain about the space but it just right for the price, you don't go to hcmc to stay all day in the hotel. Very quiet despite being near bui vien st.

Value for money”
I booking one family room with two double bed for two nights, have two young people and two elderly people. This is totally value for money I paid when I review overall. Few things to talk, first is the location, need to walk through a narrow alley, I think for those young man is okay, but I have two elderly, and the alley always in the wet situation and it make us felt like not hygiene. The second one is that will be better if room is provided with hair dryer, me even not dare to wash my hair if I come back late. The third one is the breakfast can be more choices, like add sausage etc. The forth one s some of the blanket have stain on it, for me still ok but have to more careful when washing them. Well, there have many good point also, like the existing of lift let my elderly people easily to get upstairs. Toiletries is prepared as well and change to new everyday. Receptionists are helpful!

Friendly people in a compact home-like hotel”
1. The hotel staffs are friendly and helpful (despite language problem sometimes). 2. Hotel location is amazing (walking distance to the market and nightlife and the convenient stores (circle k and family mart) are almost at your doorstep). 3. Hotel cleanliness is great too but it can be improved. 4. Room is okay as we rented a family room and the room structure is a bit weird (walls are not exactly straight) and the toilet has leaking problem (water leaks to the room) but it was minor because the staff quickly sent some floor mat after I contacted them. Overall, I would say this is a great place to stay! And don't forget to tell the hotel staff for your free breakfast (fried eggs or scrambled egg) as they only prepare it fresh after you ordered.

Good boutique hotel nearby Bui Vien street”
Although it has 1 stars, this seems to be a hotel which have seen more stars though. Very good location, Bui Vien street can be heard only moderately. Great amenities, basic breakfast, but keycard did not work. Got the master key from reception which may have opened all the doors, this felt kinda weird.

I like the staff, they are friendly and nice. what ever you ask them, they will try to help you or give you some suggestion. the location is good, near to pub street. The local street food few step from the hotel is worth a try. the room is clean. just a reminder for those who concern, the hotel is not located in the main street, you have to walk in a small street just a few meter away.

Staffs are friendly, warm, always smiling, very helpful and accommodating. Hotel rate is reasonable. Meets are met and they are very effective. I wish to give 10stars for their hospitality, thank you Tim in the morning shift, Tom the night shift staff, a lady staff at the front desk(i didn't get to know her name) and other staffs for the services and useful advices. It's really important for us as travelers to find a place where we feel at ease and feel at home. Thank you for making it real. Thank you for having us! Love all the staffs, just two days back in town but am already starting to miss them.
