The room was comfortable and clean. Walking distance to Alishan station which is convenient. There is a 7 Eleven nearby the hotel. Hot and cold water dispenser is also available. A bathtub in the bathroom was also nice. However, shower curtain should be installed to prevent water from splashing all over the toilet.

Our room is better than I expected. It is cozy (pretty small), clean, not too pricey and come with free breakfast for both of us. Staff is not as bad as some reviewers stated. Breakfast is pretty good, although only one meat dish (ground pork in soy sauce) if you really care about this. Most importantly, it's conveniently located inside the national forest. Strongly recommend the sunrise tour (especially if you don't want to walk that much, nor get up super early for the train operated by the National Forest), cost about $10 USD per person, last 2 hours (from 5:40-7:40am for us, exact time varies daily), and the driver dropped us off for the free breakfast offered by the hotel in a different building. We should have signed up for dinner as it's cheaper with better dishes than the nearby restaurants, but I was too late to sign up. Overall, great experience for us.

Convenient and economical hotel in Alishan”
A pleasant and inexpensive hotel. It’s a bit of a challenge to find initially because it’s down some steep steps from the main plaza. Rooms are clean and pleasant. It has an elevator. Breakfast included at a nearby building but it was mediocre. Toilet needed some attention to work properly, but staff was attentive in taking care of it. Otherwise quite nice at a good price.

Convenient Location in Alishan ”
This accommodation seemed a bit pricey, but you are paying for the convenience of location. The walls are extremely thin, and I could hear every conversation that my neighbors had. You will also need to pay attention to the hot water timing as it is only offered during a specific time frame.

Not as bad as the reviews”
We booked this spot as it was the only place available on the weekend end of Nov. We stayed here for 1 night after summiting Yushan Main Peak. The other reviews were really negative, but we found the place acceptable, probably since we stayed on the mountain the night before. Yes the building interior is quite old, but our room was nice and clean and the hot shower after the 2 day hike was amazing!

Staff seem do not speak English but it's okay because they have note for guests. Breakfast was good. Room was clean, comfortable and have a nice view. The location is great, near the central area so easy to walk around and find some foods. I will be stay there next time!

Reasonable rate hotel with breakfast”
We were lucky to have good rate and could enjoy the sunrise at Alishan while staying at this hotel. Breakfast was served in another building that we have climb up the stair to the main Alishan center. Hotel has limited space but was ok for the night stay. They also offered dinner menu that served in the same place as the breakfast.

This property is well maintained. Cluster of hotels near by tend to be larger and slightly bigger. I only used my room for sleep and it was adequate. Included breakfast was good, in my opinion.

Cheapest hotel you can find in the region”
Accommodation at Alishan is generally expensive, so this hotel is a good choice if you are travelling on a budget. The room is rather small but quite clean. Need to walk down a long staircase and there is no shuttle service to the hotel, not very desirable if you're travelling with large luggage. Other than that everything else is fine for the price

Reasonable price with clean room”
Hotels in Alishan are known to be expensive. In general this hotel is cheaper compared to others, with strategic location and cleanliness. It is a distance away from bus terminal, but that is the only hotel area in Alishan. Except a bunch of hair on the floor (guess it comes with the wind from outside), the room is generally clean. Staff recommended us to take private tour for sunrise, which is of the same price as train. It worth the money if the weather is great. We were brought for the tour even though it was raining. No way to complain because we might just spend the same amount of money to take train to Zhushan for sunrise. Following this tour, we get the chance to go to Yushan and some other spots, but still in a heavy rain. No luck for our Alishan trip :(
