Average hotel with excellent location!
The hotel is quite old with very slow elevators (if working), so no doubt it needs an upgrade. But its location is the best! Everything is within a short walking distance, i.e. Penang Adventist Hospital, local foodies and convenient stores. Overall, the hotel staff are very nice, helpful and accommodating, especially the concierge. Bathroom cleanliness certainly needs improvement, but its plumbing system is what bothered us the most! Our room was supposed to be the non-smoking and quiet one, but not only we could smell smoke & durian along the corridor on our 17th floor, it was a huge challenge for us to sleep at night with the constant noise coming from the plumbing/ draining system of the bathroom/ toilet next door. Our 4-day stay at this hotel could have been made more pleasant, if the hotel could do something to their plumbing system to minimise the noise, as we truly needed our peaceful rest after spending about 15 hours a day in the hospital for our mother's medical needs.

Old room
The hotel cleanliness was fair. The staff were friendly. However, we have decided to cancel off our 2nd night at this hotel due to the room was rather to small than the picture shown. And the most disappointing part was the mattress is is an old mattress were whenever we sit or lay down, it goes in leaving a back pain. Other than the mattress, the rest is just fine. Location wise, fair. Easy access to town.
