If you are looking for a hotel spa retreat, that is away from the city life then this hotel is for you. Clean spotless and helpful staff. The food is well prepared and not expensive. You are 40 minutes from Chaingmai and it is so quiet and peaceful. You are very near the hot springs and is worth a visit. The hotel does a shuttle bus in morning and afternoon for 200 baht return per person. You have biycycles to use on a daily basis and the area is free of traffic. The 4 poster bed is so comfortable and restful... Great nights sleep. Overall if you want stressfree hotel No noise No traffic.. Then this hotel is for you. Thoroughly enjoyed my time at this hotel and spa.
This place is very nice. it is about 45 minutes to an hour away from Chiang Mai. It's a really nice break from the city. Beautiful facilities, eally comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff, and nice weather made this a great trip for our family. We got exactly what we wanted with this out of the way, destination resort.
Very good food. Very clean. Best beds. Very comfortable ”
We spent three nights. Hardly anybody else around. Staff very accommodating. Excellent food The resort is a little out of the way. I would like to see a shuttle service which when rented could accompany a larger group. We certainly enjoyed the pool and the quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
Heaven bed, good service, value money”
I can’t forget the feeling when I’m in bed. It very comfortable than ever I had the sleep in all my trip around the world. If you like soft and comfy bed, this’s the best one. Lovely pool but I do not had a chance to jump in it cuz raining. Good breakfast, dinner and bar. Good staffs service. Good location and close to Hot Sping water. I definitely to stay here again.
Far away from everything ”
This Hotel is just ok. It is far away from everything. Food is expensive for what you get. I had to check out at 6 am and the front desk was close. Security guard and the cook had to help me to do it. This hotel is very short of staff . You go to the restaurant in the morning and still the same guys are around at 8 PM. And we went to the city and nobody wanted to drive us back to the hotel
Staff command of English is lacking plus this is my maiden experience living in a resort which prices so much for transport to and fro the resort. Location is quite remote but the nearby hot spring was a good experience . Maintainence of hotel is very well done
Another nice place”
This resort is in the remote area of Chiangmai. The room is a bit old but clean. Unfortunately the day we arrived, they were cleaning the pool. We can use only the small pool on top of the resort, the other pool's water turns brown. The staff is nice, the breakfast is good. There is a hot spring private room available.
Lovely, relaxing, comfortable - will always consider to use this resort”
Great value, beautiful rooms, peaceful and wonderful nature all around. Breakfast is not outstanding but adequate. Far from city (hence the nature) but worth it for the peace and quiet. Highly recommended
Well I have to say this place was incredible. It was very quiet at the time, with only two rooms occupied, so it lent an air of privacy and intimacy which was perfect for the occasion. The resort is just over a year old so I believe the extensively landscaped gardens will only get better. There is a water feature/pool running right through the grounds so just about any of the rooms overlook and have easy access to a part of the pools. The room was very, very comfortable, beautifully cleaned and very hard to leave after two nights here. The restaurant serves very delicious food and an extensive range of beverages. It's not cheap, but for a special occasion it was perfect. I completed the feedback form at the end of the stay and was asked if any staff member had made my stay great in some way. I honestly couldn't single one out, they were all at least very good and a number of them were excellent. The location, well, it's out of the way. Sometimes though that's a big plus. The resort operates a shuttle bus in and out of Chiang Mai but you'd probably be happiest if you just stayed put, or had independent transport. It's not that easy to find, but GPS will get you straight there. While you stay visit the Mae On Cave, probably on a par with the much better known Chiang Dao Caves but without the crowd. The pricing here at the time of my stay was competitive with other resorts in the area, not cheap, but after my stay I really believe it was good value. I will probably even return one day, on another special occasion, and because I'd love to see how the garden grows. In summary, a special place, with special staff and special food=special memories. Planning a honeymoon. This could well be your place.
We had a lovely stay at this luxurious hotel which is only 7 months old. Great place to be based to explore the hot spring and surrounding area. Nice design and decoration throughout and beautiful landscaped garden and pool. Must try the Lava Chocolate Cake. Would love to be there again.
Beautiful, Secluded, Peaceful retreat to relax”
We have enjoyed our two stays at this resort immensely. There are some challenges in its design and fit out but nothing major. Service is not always on point but it is suitable and it is in a beautiful tranquil location, albeit a little far from the city, but worth the drive. We will be back!
Best in Chiang Mai”
After many years of visiting Chiang Mai on a monthly basis we thought we had seen all that it had to offer. The "Away" resort is in a class of it's own with the most attentive and friendly staff we have ever met. The facilities, rooms, food and drink are all first class You need to visit this resort to really see what service is meant to be like Very Highly recommend this to anyone wanting to see Chiang Mai and the surrounding area without the hassle of staying in the city
Great Treat & Great Accomodation”
I stay for 1 night in the hotel. The room is really nice, big and fully equipment, huge flat screen TV. The pool is great. Breakfast & Restaurant is excellent. The staff is very nice & friendly. Absolutely I will come back again. I'm very enjoy to stay in the hotel.
Great Resort outside Chiang Mai”
My wife and I, with our children (in their twenties), stayed at The Getaway for a few days in November, 2017. It was very nice. The rooms were great, the food excellent, the staff were helpful. Best was the set of cascading pools outside the rooms. We took one of the local tours to see the hot springs. I would recommend the Getaway for couples or families.
Great and comfort hotel.”
The bed and the services of the resort and excellent but the only bad thing just the location was really deep inside of the road.
Old and tired resort that is not close to anywhere”
The hotel is old, pool is not functioning. Relatively clean room. Restaurant is expensive and hotel is not close to anywhere. I booked two king bed villas, but was told during check in that in their system, the booking is for two deluxe rooms. The receptionist offered to "upgrade" me to villa with double bed, which is obviously not an upgrade. I am not sure what went wrong, but as a customer, I should get what i paid for, a king bed villa, which I didnt! The receptionist, Ms Cindy handled the situation well, but such error is not acceptable for customer.
This hotel is really far and does not provide any transportation except if you pay 21 dollars each ways. You have to count 1 hour to go to Chiang Mai. The food is less than average. The problem is that the occupancy is so low that the management probably cuts the costs. I do not recommend to stay in that resort except if you plan to meditate.
This is Get away from chiang mai. If you are going to chiang mai and traveling to chiant rai or you are going for the hot springs and not for chiang mai, this is perfect. We missed the lantern festival because it took 1.5 hours to get there from the city. Completely in the middle of nowhere but near hot springs. It cost us 700 baht to get to the airport in the morning.
Best Accommodation ever ”
recommend to stay it is luxury with value money
Perfect weekend getaway!”
We had a great couple getaway weekend there. It was a special occasion for us and the hotel really took good care of us. They upgraded us, prepared one of the little pools for us and decorated our dinner table nicely. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Thank you!
