Really cozy camper site. ”
Clean, warm, comfortable and quite new room/cabin. Clean and well maintained shared toilet and kitchen. Free car washing possibilities and drinking water tap outiside every cabin is a plus. Room had a small fridge as well. Only downside was the bed because it was a bit too soft. Overall the whole place felt really cozy and it was the best camper site we've been in New Zealand.

All round perfect place to stay”
The staff was very friendly and helpful, made us feel very welcomed. The location was superb, the facilities were faultless particularly when you travel with children. We used the spa pool and it was just perfect. The room was warm and everything we needed was there. I’ll come back again. Already recommended to my friends and colleagues.

At first I wasn’t certain with a communal restroom and shower facility, but this place was great. Very clean and modern, wonderful facilities and a great value. Would definitely stay again.

Great stay in Getaway Te Anau. Good location, great staff and accommodation! Perfect for a night's rest before or after a whole day trip to and from Milford Sound. Pro Tip: visit the DOC Visitor Center and go for a quick hike around the lake at sunset for some awesome views!

Shared toilet. Staff were very helpful when I need to re plan the route due to road closure. She has suggested few alternatives and we managed to continue our trip due to the great suggestion!

Good location and friendly staffs”
There are many accommodation types to suit different travellers. We stayed in an ensuite family unit with shred kitchen facilities. It’s about 10 minutes walk to the town centre (I-site). The staffs were friendly. There were bikes/go-cart to use free of charge on site.

The small private cabin room was very nice, clean and pretty big considering the cost. The facilities were also clean and well-maintained. Staff were very helpful with several small requests.

Cosy hotel for family for stopover. Shared kitchen if you intend to cook an within walking distance to lake side and restaurants at te Anau. Good place to stop over before heading to tracks around Milford area.

Great location and the shuttle buses to Milford Sound pocked is up right outside the entrance. Easy walk into town where there are tons of shops and places to eat. Walls are a bit thin and if you have a neighbor that wheels their luggage along the wooden plank decking at 6 am it can be an issue trying to sleep but all in all a nice stay.

Not bad for a night's stay”
This place is more suited for camper van and low budget stay. We were slightly late with the booking of accommodation noting that it was a peak period too, and the last best choice was Getaway Te Anau. We didn't have any expectations apart from knowing we booked for a twin bed cabin. Upon arriving, we were surprised at how packed and crowded the place was. We went for a standalone cabin as we were particular with privacy, sandwiched between 2 camper vans approximately 1 metre away. The nature of this accommodation is that there will be a lot of movements around and noise is something you can't control. The cabin was also quite warm, so we left the door open for some air circulation. A pet cat came running in and jumped all over our bedding, to make things worst my partners has allergy to cat dander. Unless you're a backpacker/camper van/on budget, this is probably not the place for you. The location and facilities were very good though.
