Bed without breakfast”
Giancarlo A Tratevere is an apartment with bedrooms. Two weeks f the bedrooms have bathrooms inside. I got the bedroom with the bathroom out in the hall. The bedroom walls are thin. Made of plaster, I think. You can clearly hear noises coming from other bedrooms. Apartment has a kitchen. I cooked my meals and my own breakfast. Though my booking included breakfast, I stayed there 4 days and got breakfast by innkeepers only once: sweet pastries, cheese, salami, stale bread, and coffee. The next 3 days breakfast was not prepared. It was disappointing. The first time it happened I inquired. The next day I was surprised. The last day disillusioned. The place is relatively clean. Not extremely. Bathroom has some mold in shower stall. Found others guests hairs in wall and floor. White doors need to be wiped. The towels and linens were very clean. Location is in residential area. Found a few coffee bars that cater locals. It was nice to sit for coffee and not be treated like a tourist. Italians are warm, kind, and friendly. From to the Bed and "breakfast" it is easy to walk to the center of Trastevere. You can also take the bus or the tram 8. Easy. Buy tickets in any small cigarette shop. If you are traveling in a group or a family I would maybe recommend you book the entire apartment. Asa a woman solo traveler...not really. I can't say my experience was totally unpleasant, but I was happy to check out.

Easily recommendable”
Cleanliness, coffee and friendly staff
Apart from the rough start in finding the place (Tip: It's probably easier to walk from Roma Trastavere station than it is to catch a tram up, it's about a 15 minute walk), I thoroughly enjoyed this B&B - great staff, really clean and super comfortable stay. The espresso coffee is always a bonus as well! For the solo female travellers, it's tucked away on a quite street but is very safe and a nice getaway from the main street without veering to far. Thanks Eduardo and family =)

Great place, not so great location”
Guest interaction, easy access to kitchen, friendly atmosphere
The bed was really comfy, the atmosphere was friendly creating a really wonderful interaction with other guest. The breakfast was pleasant and the kitchen was accessible for our use. However, the location was not easy to find since it is out of most Rome's tourist maps. When we first arrived, the locals around the vicinity were not able to help us since they never heard of the street name (once you found the place, it isn't as inaccessible). The instruction given by the hotel was also incomplete. It will be great if the hotel provides a map of its location rather than mere instructions. Albeit the location setback, we had a great experience staying in Rome.
