Stayed from May 1st to 8th, 2023. It's a beautiful and great resort just like the pictures. Even after exploring the entire Gili Air Island, La Guna Resort is the best. First of all, all the staff are very friendly, kind, and always greet you with a smile. They try their best to help and solve any problems. All rooms have direct access to the swimming pool, so you can jump into the cool water anytime, 24 hours a day. During the day, you can enjoy swimming in the coolness with palm trees and well-maintained landscapes, and in the evening, you can enjoy swimming with romantic lighting and music. The highlight of La Guna Resort is the Pool Bar. The pool in front of the bar is beyond words. La Guna Resort is the only place on this island where you can enjoy swimming and the bar while facing the beach. You can attract the attention of everyone passing by. The rooms provide air conditioning and a fan to keep you cool at all times. The mosquito repellent works well to keep away bugs, and the rooms are cleaned daily. The bathroom is environmentally friendly and simple yet beautiful. The breakfast is better than an ordinary restaurant in the neighborhood, and the staff take good care of you. Having breakfast while overlooking the sea is a big pride of La Guna Resort. Alwi, the resort manager, has extensive experience in resorts and hotels, and he listens to our small voices and always helps us with a smile to ensure our safety and enjoyment. Although it hasn't been fully recovered from the damage caused by a big tsunami a few years ago, it is beautiful to see all the staff working hard from morning to evening for the resort. There are many good restaurants around the resort, and the pier is only a 5-minute walk away. It is conveniently located near the island's downtown area. We now have a reason to come back to Gili Air Island. We highly recommend La Guna Resort to anyone who wants to use it anytime and to travelers. La Guna Resort is the only resort that offers such facilities and services at this price and location.

Great pool with swimout from deck”
The circular pool is great and each 17 cabins have direct access. There is also an infinity pool at the restaurant which overlooks the ocean and this is where breakfast is served. The rooms are spacious. The bed is super king size and very comfortable. Hotel is 5mins walk from the pier and set back from the beach. There is no direct beach in front of hotel. Swimming beach is 5min bike ride up the coast. Staff are friendly and we had the opportunity to see one of them climb a coconut tree and retrieve young coconuts for us to drink/eat which was a highlight of our stay. We changed rooms as aircon was struggling in first assigned room

The staff and service is excellent. We went fishing and caught a large fish. Staff cleaned and barbequed the fish beautifully and served with salads etc. Also brought the other cooked half of the fish to our room to eat the next day. Lagoon pool is lovely as are the rooms. Breakfast is the best. Stay here if you can
Good in the past”
This looks like a place that was really good in the past. Location is great, just 5 min walk from the harbour. Interesting concept of villas that have direct access to the pool. However, the pool is constantly dirty and it requires daily cleaning and in 3 days we stayed I only saw a pool cleaning guy once and he only did our “section” because we ordered floating breakfast as a birthday surprise for my husband. The breakfast surprise was nice, the stuff even arranged for a guitar player to sing some nice songs, but they were 30 mins late and the surprise part was ruined. There is another pool with a great sea view, but the restaurant doesn’t have any good selection. No wonder it was almost always empty. The stuff was really nice and tried to help but overall the resort is poorly maintained and we would not recommend it especially for the money they ask for it.

The location is fabulous , walking distance from the pier and the hotel itself is lovely in terms of the pool and the view ….. that being said the staff is good and helpful … my only peev is that the food is awful , the food is made in a kitchen and then transported and it’s then cold … besides that if you’re a foodie the food is below average ! If you’re happy to stay there for the place then it’s good , the breakfast is ordinary . The spa is not working and the pool looks fab but…… it’s not the cleanest as it’s huge ! All of this said it’s good value for money but don’t expect a luxury hotel as it’s at best 3 star …. But again , location is great & staff very nice
