Where to stay in Gili Air
Gili Air hotels & accommodations

PinkCoco Gili Air is about 12mins stroll from Gili Air harbour (turn left when arrive). I was welcomed by spectacular staffs at the reception, Putu, Hilda and Olga! They are always there to assist with any inquiries and suggestions about my snorkelling trips and other itineraries that I inquired. Restaurant staffs was also extremely warm and brought the fabulous Indon...

Villa Karang is very close to the Gili Air harbor which meant we didn't have to pay a horse & buggy to take us to the hotel (they charge a fortune, 150K IDR for a 10 min ride??!). They didn't have our room ready just yet but gave us a free welcome drink and a cool refreshing cloth (we'd just hiked Rinjani so we were filthy). Within 10 min we were in the room which was ...

When you are on a remote location like Gili Air, which doesn't even have own source of drinking water you can understand how difficult it is to provide proper service to guests. But we got Tania as a manager who helped us throughout our stay there and made our stay more like a home. Property is close to jetty, takes around 5-7 minute on foot. Specially most of Gili AIr...

I had such a lovely time here. All staff were very friendly and kind. The room was clean and cozy. One of the greatest thing was having breakfast seeing the sea. Banana pancake with pineapple juice were a perfect meal! I definitely recommand this hotel to anyone who will stay in Gili Air. Thanks a lot.

Mola Mola is a fantastic resort! The location is perfect; I would say its situated on the best part of the island. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The free bicycles are a lovely touch. The pool however had a bit of a murky green color and not very inviting. Then again, who needs a pool when you have the ocean on your doorstep! Ample choices for breakfas...

After 2 weeks there, we really think this is the best place to stay on Gili Air. The location right by pier is great, the grounds are really lovely, staff was friendly, cleaning staff were sweet and thorough, and two big pools! There is the big pool up front where most dive classes are taught, but there is another big pool in back by the two garden bungalows, and we f...

Cosy, spacious cottage with private bathroom attached. Very clean (the staff cleaned once a day and also changed towels). Sadly, the Wifi was not working very well, but you wont have enough time to hang around the internet anyway, als Gili Air is beautiful. I really liked their breakfast. You can choose between 3 options and enjoy your breakfast with view on the open o...

We loved our stay at Samata Village. The staff were especially kind and helpful and did so much to ensure our stay was comfortable. The pool is lovely and bungalows are beautiful and very clean. Because the hotel is set back from the beach it is also a very peaceful oasis after a day of adventuring. Would highly recommend the hotel to travelers looking for accommo...

I'm quite surprised to read the other comments. Firstly, Gili Air boasts its natural features and so people should naturally expect to encounter wildlife at some extent (if you can't tolerate harmless little bugs then perhaps the island's not for you, so you might as well do yourself a favor and plan a trip elsewhere). As a visitor I highly respect the diverse culture...

Right from the start Puri went out of their way to make us welcome. agoda confirmed our stay but Puri was fullybooked, however they still managed to find room for us, and moved us to our bungalow the next day. The staff are all very friendly and will do anything to help you. The location is stunning, best part of the island away from the harbour traffic. Murni and Grah...

Nice bungalow, very clean. The pool is lovely and their stuff is just great! We made the mistake of going to a different hotel for our third night in Gili Air, we should have stayed at the turtle beach. The only thing it could be improved is their breakfast, but this is minor :)

We intended to stay for 2 nights on Gili Air, and decided to stay at Chill Out Bungalows. The greeting on arrival was friendly, and we were able to store our luggage until we checked in. The bungalow was clean, the bed comfortable and the fan and AC were a welcome relief from the heat. One big plus for us was the ability to refill our water bottles from the water dispe...

This hotel made our stay in Gili Air great! Clean room and bathroom with new beach towels everyday. Nice heated pool and convenient foot bath. Connection to Chill Out restaurant in front of a nice beach about 10 minutes walk away where you can have your breakfast and get free access to sunbeds on the best beach. The breakfast is HUGE, can easily feed 3 people so you do...

This place is great. It's affiliated with a nice resort so you get a free buffet breakfast included and access to their pool. It's only a three minute walk away. Not too far from the good swimming beach on Gili Air. Room was clean and AirCon worked well. No hot water, but it wasn't freezing either. Ended up staying 5 nights, highly recommended! We ate as much as we cou...

Actually we were arranged by Agoda for this hotel just 2 days b/f our trip this time. But i would like to say! It is our super lucky to be chooses for this hotel in our last stop of this trip in Gili air. Gili air is just a Good island for vocation... busy street w/ bars and shops but not that noisy. And Lagoon hotel is located in the most bustling place of this island...

After hiking Mt. Rinjani, I came to Gili Air expecting to rest and perhaps be a little pampered. This is one of the comfiest hotels I've stayed in while traveling Asia. I had a twin room to myself. It was very clean and spacious. The bathroom was very large and had hot water (which was very needed after hiking Rinjani!). The free breakfasts were also great, especially ...

We really enjoyed our stay at Bel Air and if we were to go back to Gili Air we would stay there again. It was really chilled and clean. If you ask for something it will be done. The breakfast staff could have a little more training so that drinks and food for all arrive together!

Small place with lovely little bungalows that look out onto the beach. Clean, simple rooms and a good bathroom, cold shower but you get that pretty much everywhere on Gili Air and its actually quite refreshing in the heat. Not much more was needed as we were hardly in our room. We had a fan room which got quite hot late avo and in the evening so would recommend one of ...

Everything was perfect about this place from its location right on the beach(where the snorkelling and diving is amazing), the good quality food(indo and italian cuisine) to the friendliness of the staff. Always have a smile on and willing to help. I actually got quite friendly with some of them. Its the perfect place for relaxation, couple/honeymoon, adventure/sports ...

The owners and staff were amazing. From the private breakfasts, pools, and bikes to the beautifully decorated bedrooms and outdoor bathrooms, Ke Rensia was a perfect secluded paradise. Located in the center of Gili Air - it was super easy for us to quickly bike or walk to any part of the island. The owners were extremely friendly and were quick to offer advice and sugg...

The place was exactly as described. I stayed there with a friend and we had a lovely time. We had a warm welcome by Imam and were given a lot of tipps and imformations about gili air, which were super helpful. There was also some snorkling-equipment in our villa... that was just perfect! The breakfast was wonderful. I totally recommend the place and will definitely be ...

As known, Gili Air isn't a big island. Kaluku Gili Resort is located at a very strategic place next to Blue Marine dive shop. Not only that, it is only 2km away from Jetty and the main street, not too far away into the deserted area. To me the North- West island is deserted, too quiet without shops and lights. Highly recommend this resort for their strategic location,...

Just spent 4 night at the bungalows and had a good time. Its located directly next to one of the best snorkeling locations of Gili Air. Unfortunately due to government regulation they had to tear down the Zipp Bar while we were staying there. The rooms were small but ok. The staff was really helpfull.

Nice small room, needs a bit of paint. Kind of open bathroom, big. Not much shower water pressure. Air Con was working fine. I missed a Tv in the bedroom. The staff was super nice. Breakfast ok, only place in Bali/Lombok where didn't offer juice, but could buy it for 20k. The pool was great and they had towels. Only pro: the quantity of hens & chickens around "singing...

The stay at D'jamezz was exceptional. The owners are a couple, one from Holland and the other from Indonesia who are very friendly and welcoming. They have two helpers that cook you breakfast and help you with renting bicycles or get you a beverage by the pool, the two of them are so kind and just want to help in any way. D'jamezz has 3 villas so it's never to busy by...
Cheap places to stay in Gili Air

This oasis in the centre of Gili Air has been fantastic for us. One of the best value accommodations of our trip across Asia, with a delightful pool and sunbathing area and free (and reasonable) breakfast. The recently built wooden bungalows were comfortable, with new mosquito nets and soft thick mattress beds on the floor. Wifi was generally excellent and staff always...

No complaints about this place, lovely hosts go out of their way to help and ensure you're happy! Breakfast was good and his coffee was delicious. Rooms are fairly basic but nice, same with the shower and toilet. Perfect accommodation for exploring gili air as the whole island is walkable and it is located close to the ferry port.

My husband and I had some quality stay for 2 nights including super delicious home made breakfast with lombok coffee which prepared by Eddy and Arib and also sampled some very sweet mangoes from the garden. it's family owned small garden style bungalow houses that are all separated to have its own privacy and has a really snow white mosquito net over the bed room, no w...

This place is perfect for a stay on Gili Air with short distance to a lot of good restaurants and beaches. The staff is really friendly and the atmosphere is nice. The breakfast is super good, for example a big omelette, fresh fruit juice, hot tea and fruit salad, everything really good quality. If I come back to Gili Air I will choose this place again!

We stay for 2 nights, the room is big enough, clean and comfy. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The location of this bungalow is not too close to the central area of Gili Air but it's still reachable by bike. We rent bikes while we stay in Gili Air, to go the Central are it took only about 10 minutes by bike. But there's a beach close to the bungalow, about 5 ...

I went out of my way to schlep my bags the entire way across the island because there are no cars or mopeds. When I got there the man told me that they were overbooked and that he could give me a fan room after I'd researched a bunch and paid for the more expensive room. Them he haggled with me for fourth minutes about prices. Breakfast was stingy. Room ended up being ...

This place is so close from the harbour, you can walk there if you don't have baggages that aren't too heavy. The little cottage/villa I was staying in were brand new, I was the first guest in this particular villa (it seemed by the plastic on the toilet seat). My villa was bigger than most other hotel or villa rooms in the island. (Some of my friends dropped by and i...

First off, if your reading this just after the earthquake and wondering if you should visit Gili Air, DO IT! The island is open and ready for visitors, they need the tourism now more than ever, and everything is inexpensive and quiet at the moment. Regardless, Tangaa Bungalows is an amazing place to stay. Each bungalow is so pretty and the couple who run the place are ...

We loved staying here! The staff were so kind and went far and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The place was incredibly clean, which we appreciated as Gili Air's streets are dirt and sand. I like clean sheets! The breakfast was the best we've had while traveling six months in SE Asia, large, generous portions of great, tasty food. And the staff was...

I would 100% recommend this place to stay in Gili air. If you are travelling solo especially but even if you aren't the beds in the dorm room are the best hostel experience I've ever had. You feel super private because of the mosquito nets and the hanging beds rock you gently to sleep! The only downside which has nothing to do with the hotel, is the call to prayer whic...

Everything was good, especially the people working here are really nice. Always willing to help for anything but never in pushy way. They also provided good breakfast & coffee, pretty comfortable bed, walking distance to beaches for sunset, lot of coconuts trees, bananas and mango trees nearby, children's playground, no early morning loudness from mosques.. Overall I...

Good location in middle of the island, the food is good and they have a store you can buy everything from. They also have a nice pool there now. Worth paying a little extra for the bungalows but the standard rooms are fine too if you are on a budget. Overall excellent place to stay on Gili Air

We stayed here for 2 nights and could not have been more pleased - the listing really doesn't do this place justice. The room was incredibly new and clean with working AC, a special light that worked in case of power outages, and a huge bed with a mosquito net. Certainly one of the best places I've stayed in. The staff was amazingly friendly, helpful, attentive, and fl...

It was a bliss to be able to find this place to relax after a long hike at Mt. Rinjani and a night stay at the noisy Gili Trawangan. Old Village is strategically located in Gili Air and is easy to find from the main jetty. It is near to some decent eateries (such as Stark Bite, Breadelicious, Warung Sunny and etc.). Mexican Kitchen & Chill Out are both within cycling ...

We had booked room for 4 nights but at the first day we decided to extend our stay for 3 more nights. We really loved the place. Bungalows were clean and cozy and just few meters from the beach. Staff was so friendly and helpful and they even upgraded us to even better bungalow. The food in their restaurant was good and cheap. Awesome stay on Gili Air.! We highly recom...

We were very satisfied with our experience! We booked for 2 nights and ended up staying 5 nights. Pros - Very close to the beach - Cosy and private bungalows, far from each other - Great location : near the main street that crosses the island, and on the other side of the port (and the noise) - 15 minutes walk to reach it, so perfect - Good variety of breakfasts - ...

If you are going to Gili Air then it's hard to beat the price and location of this small bungalow hotel. Great air con, nice little huts, nice little pool and very close to beach and restaurants. I'm not happy about the Muslim pray thingy pumped across the island at 4am on loud speakers, not happy about the horses being tortured on the island, lots of construction and...

+Perfect location for visiting everywhere across the island. +Very quiet. +Amazing host who speaks very good English and is very friendly. +Good selection of breakfast options. +Big room with AC, king sized bed, refrigerator and space to hand clothes. +Outside area to sit. +One of our favorite rooms so far whilst travelling.

We stay 4 nights in Gilli Air. We choosed Abdi Fantastik because of the view. And no regrets. We had the last bungalow before the other place (on the left seeing the ocean). We can enjoy the sunrise directly from our bed our from the terrace. Any bungalow in front of us, just us and the beautiful view. Just 20 steps by walking from the beach. Abdi Fantastik is small, s...

This place is really good, and host was great, quite welcoming and their food was awesome. The best part was open washroom, and host can give you explained details about near places to visit and to do things. If I am coming next time to Gili Air I will stay at this place again.

The staff were excellent and probably the friendliest i've come across during my time in Indonesia. Both the owner and Mowgli made us feel so welcome and made a real effort to get to know us and to recommend things to do / places to go. The rooms were also of an excellent standard, very clean and spacious with all the necessary facilities. The hotel is located about 20...

Well , this is really " center" hotel , close to the wharf. Stuff are nice , but I don't understand why ppl not clear our room ?! And also the room full off different type of insects . It is really nice adventure abt exploring biology ! no shoes and no toothpaste. Well the room is quit sweet and exotic if they keep cleaning everyday . Otherwise .three words for this ."...

Pros: - superb service by the staff here. - quickly replied my emails regarding the accommodation and island - Cindy, who met us upon check-in gave us very good recommendations on where to eat, snorkel, watch the sunrise & sunset and other information throughout our stay - delicious breakfast - free bicycles to use anytime we wanted - when my friend was sick late one ...

Villa Marina is a great value for money. Super clean. Thee stuff iss amazingly Friendly. Breakfast the provide is good. I am very picky with food, but Oyet(one of the stuff who is working there) went out of his way to make sure I was happy with my stay there. I enjoyed my time so much there. Definitely reccomend Anybody who wants to have a wonderful private place on th...

The Karma Villa is an amazing stay a bit outside of the busy side of Gili Air. Still must say, that Gili Air is vers small and a managable size of the island. Everything is very close and reachable by bicycle in 5 to 15 Minutes (driving very slow, as there are not roads and most traffic jams are caused by horses :-)) It is a lovely place and the free bicycles they give...

We were greeted by the most friendly and relaxed man at reception and immediately shown to our room. He didn't want to handle payment as he preferred we maximize our time on the beach and take care of it later. They brought us delicious/ beautiful dragon fruit smoothies when we arrived to the beach front bar. We easily made the decision to not leave this beach spot all...

The service at the Shark villas was outstanding. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. The villa is so cute and clean. You can hear the prayers very early in the morning, however I’m sure this is all over the island. This place was free of bugs and had hot water and AC. The staff also helped organize transportation and outings. Overall excellent se...

I enjoyed my stay here. The villa was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The layout of the villa is really nice but it is quite noisy. You can hear everything from the villa next door and the constant chanting from the mosque is also very audible! All in all though a very pleasant stay. Thank you

Enveloped by beautiful gardens and situated in a great location, the mini-homes were a pleasure to stay in. Maintained to a high standard and kept very clean, the rooms were spacious and left us well rested. Combining this with a great breakfast and lovely staff, we can confidently say that this is definitely a place we would return to time and time again.

We stayed in the standard bungalow which are basic but clean. You can see the water from the balcony. Air Con works well but that is all that is supplied with the rooms, no bottled water and water at the shop at the front is expensive. The standard bungalows are at the back of the property surrounded by paddocks which is nice. Rooms are cleaned when you request it....

the sunsets were intoxicating and you could enjoy them out front o your own private beach- Anton and Dodi took ya to the market in the morning and we bbq'd on the beach st sunset - it is a magical place! i suggest you rent bikes and explore the island - the boys know where to go and will recommend the best places and vendors!- enjoy gili air - we sure did'

Casa Koko was such a great experience. Sopian met us at the ferry and took amazing care of us the whole time. He was even able to straighten out my missing bag when another tourist mistakingly took to other Gili when unloading from the ferry. Casa Koko was super clean, bright, and private. Lots of little touches and amenities that we very much appreciated. We loved the...

Wonderful stay here.. spent a few days to celebrate my partners birthday. It was our first time on Gili Air and we were made to feel very welcome by the staff who gave us a map and gave us plenty of tips of where to go and what to do on the island.
