Good clean accom but noisy
The accommodations themselves were fine but the truck noise from the alleyway below all night and the really bright street lights through the curtains made sleeping difficult. Eye pillow and ear plugs would solve these issues otherwise its nice accom, pretty central and good price.

Great stay
Well priced apartment accommodation. Comfortable bed, couch etc. Sky TV with many channels. Modern. Free Wi-Fi in the room. Close to the CBD (but on a back street). Friendly and helpful staff. However the sound proofing in windows isn't up to the same standard as some of the main street hotels, so the lower floors could get some carpet noise. Would definitely stay again.

Plus points: 1) Very clean and comfortable room 2) Self-sufficient as there's a washing-cum-dryer machine in the room 3) Decent location 4) Adequate help available for travellers arriving out of the receptionist's working hours Minuses: 1) Small room. Smaller bathroom 2) Poor sound insulation from corridors/other rooms (but they tried to make up for it with free earplugs in the room 3) Expensive overnight parking. Staff could have proposed alternative parking areas which costs less than half of what they charge

Fantastic Stay at Gilmer Apartments
We had two apartments for two nights recently, and this is now my favourite place to stay in Wgtn. The location was fantastic, very central and very easy either for driving or to take the lift down to Lambton Quay. The rooms were large, comfortable, well furnished and very well equipped. Cleanliness was 100%. Staff very nice. Excellent value for money. Thanks so much.

Avoid this Hotel. Don't be a victim
The hotel pictures look beautiful isn't it? The review scores are high... Avoid this, don't be the next victim!!! I book this hotel, made FULL PAYMENT, had CONFIRMATION from Agoda the room is BOOKED and Reserved for 2 nights. Perfect! That's what we what it to be when we book a hotel. Expecting to go to the hotel, check in and enjoy the facilities at a good/agreed rate. Do you like it when you arrived at the hotel, the hotel staff tell you that you are NOT ALLOWED to check into the hotel room that you have Reserved with Full Payment? WE are 2 adults travelling with a little 3 year old child. The GM, Natasha refused to let me check into the double apartment that I have BOOKED and Fully PAID with the excuse that I was travelling with a child. My child is merely 3 years old and she forced me to take a 2 bedrooms apartment with extra cost. The night before my check in, the whole city was running out of rooms due to flights cancellations. The whole city was running out of rooms and limited available rooms were selling at sky high priced but still been grab in very fast speed. I booked it in a rather good rate for 2 nights. I was expecting a friendly treatment while I was about to check in but things go another way round. Natasha checked my booking and she said she can't let me check in because I have a child with me. And she only have one 2 bedroom apartment for me. I need to add extra NZD60 per night to stay there or walk away without a single cent refund. She left me with no option and it turns out to be 2 nights of my booking became 1 night stay in a 2 bedroom apartment with no refund for the balance. The BOOKING that was once CONFIRMED from a reputable website is actually NOT CONFIRMED in this apartment hotel. Is that what you want when you place your booking? Avoid this hotel if you do not want to become the next victim. If you are travelling with a little child, she might use the same excuse. Just Lovely
It seemed to be recently renovated and look lovely, The room was very clean and well presented. Great location for shopping and once you have the quick route via a car park and their lift to Lambton Quay, you could come and go with very little effort. The duty manager sorted a problem I had with little effort and a excellent response and attitude. I would definitely stay again.
