A boutique hotel in a fabulous location”
We were very happy and comfortable in our room at the Gingerflower Boutique Hotel. It is about a 100 metre walk from Dutch Square and just around the corner from Jonker Street. The hotel was extremely quiet, very pretty and totally charming. Rooms are smallish but were big enough for us and spotlessly clean with lovely, modern ensuite style bathrooms. Bathrobes and toiletries are supplied. Our windows opened internally onto the air well which was lovely, very private.and gave the room lots of natural light. A continental breakfast was served which was the perfect light start to a day in a town known for its fabulous food. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. We came away wishing we had longer to spend at the Gingerflower and in Malacca.

Great comfortable stay!”
It was a great stay at Gingerflower Boutique Hotel.. Room are clean and comfy though a bit small but for the price we paid, it is really value for money..Location of the hotel is perfect..Its not on jonker street but just behind it so it wont be so noisy at night as Fri-Sun, there is the famous night market.. Just a short 2 min walk to Jonker street and 5 min walk to the red house and Formosa artefacts.. Would definitely come here to stay again when back in Malacca!

Great Stay ”
The location was unbeatable, just one street away from jonker Street night market and near to h&m, hard rock cafe which makes it easy to get around - everything is within walking distance. The room which I booked was small but clean and good value for money. The staff was always friendly and polite, two thumbs up to the staff. The walls can be a bit thin so if you have guest shouting along the corridors, you can hear them. However, overall it has been a great stay and I will definitely stay in Gingerflower boutique hotel when in Malacca.

Wonderful location and amenities”
Located within walking distance of Jonker Street, Gingerflower Boutique Hotel is a small cosy hotel that is perfect for a weekend stay in Malacca. The room while a little small, was cosy and fitted with all the basic necessities. The shower is amazing as well. Breakfast is a small range of local favourites - fried noodles to nasi lemak, giving visitors a taste of Malaysia. All in all, a really good place to stay, especially if your main purpose was to wander the nearby attractions and sights.

the best we have tried in Melaka”
when we first arrived we were greeted by some friendly staff. similar to many other hotels (especially the boutique ones) behind jonker street, car park is a luxury and so is the case with Gingerflower as it can only take in up to 3 cars inside their compound. lucky for us we came in the early afternoon and there was one last spot & the staff was kind enough to help reverse the other car which was taking a bit more space than needed. we were shown to our room by a very friendly guest service who surprisingly refused to accept our token of appreciation after he gave us key information about the room (or maybe because the amount was too small, although we feel it was decent). we love the interior design of the hotel as well as that of our room as they blend heritage very nicely with modern design. the bathroom is amazingly clean, neat, and spacious for a boutique hotel. unfortunately the sound insulation is not so perfect as we could hear steps from other guests, as well as when some considerate people were more than willing to share with us some of their life stories by talking out loud even when it's dark outside. perhaps this is a common problem for boutique hotel & some other hotels in Melaka as well (we had stayed at several other places before and all had the same issues). food wise- we didn't try the breakfast as we always prefer to get what locals eat for breakfast so we had something else outside. location is superb as it is behind perhaps the liveliest street of the whole Melaka. all in all, it is probably the best hotels we have stayed in so far in Melaka.

Environment, Service, Cleanliness and Location”
I had a really good day spending at Malacca for this trip with my husband. Both of us also felt really satisfied for the environment, service, room cleanliness and location for GingerFlower Boutique Hotel. We had a nice day during 2D1N stayed. We like the room design which simple, clean and nice. Definitely will book this hotel again in future.

Staff”
The staff is very thoughtful and friendly. I didn't check on my charges of my room but the staff do a check against on my booking platform and knowing she has overcharged and refund the balance to me. I appreciated this kind of honesty. Great stay with gingerflower boutique hotel. The location is fantastic, is just less than a minute walk to jonker street.

Staffs are very courteous and friendly. ”
Staffs are very accommodating. My elderly mum had difficulty in climbing the steep staircase to the room. I requested to change ground floor room on the 2nd day. Staffs are very prompt in looking into that matter. They provided 2 rooms on the ground floor on the 2nd day and assisted to transfer our luggages to the new respective rooms. Thank you for the professional services provided during our stay. We had a joyful stay at Gingerflower Boutique Hotel. Cheers!!

A huge beautifully restored townhouse in Jonker Street area”
The place was beyond our expectation as it was huge and its interior was beautiful. The location was Central as it was at the street parallel to Jonker Street, where all the action was. The only downside was that it's difficult to find parking space as it's along a one-way street. You also need to pull your luggage along to the townhouse once you check in at the Gingerflower Hotel main building as the townhouse is 100m away. There was a little hiccup with the water. There wasn't water in all the bathrooms when we wanted to shower but that was quickly resolved by the staff. The staff was polite and helpful too. We will surely come back here again on our next trip to Malacca.

It’s an awesome accommodation for our family trip. ”
We had a very great stay for our family trip with young kids and old parents. We like the heritage house with modern concepts design, my kids said this hotel is better than a 5 star hotel. Because they can play around the house with free and easy, adults enjoy coffee and tea break at the living area, young couple can enjoy shopping at jonker street all the time. It’s the best location for everyone with family trip. Everyone enjoy the great stay and convenient location for shop and eat. Once again i want to thank you to Ms. Najau ( marketing of gingerflower) who had try her best to accommodate our family trip and nvr disappointed us. Appreciate to the management had provide us (customer) the best service i ever had. Expecially the car park services, front desk always make the best arrangement for guest. Love your service very much. You all really make us feel like we are superb guest. Well done! Definitely will come again next time!

Newly renovated, lovely rooms, excellent service”
Couldn't be more pleased with my stay at Gingerflower. 1) Hotel parking at the rear was a nice surprise. 2) Staff served us chilled drinks and towels upon check-in, another nice touch. 3) Rooms are newly renovated and tastefully done up. Had our best sleep in ages. Will definitely return to Gingerflower when I come back to Malacca.

A beautifully renovated shophouse-hotel”
We had a very pleasant stay at the Gingerflower Boutique Hotel and would definitely recommend it to friends and family looking for a special weekend away. Our room was compact, but beautifully fitted and had a window onto one of the courtyards.

Melaka”
Being a renovated old Peranakan house Gingerflower offers all the facilities and good casual service for a comfortable stay. A small boutique hotel is the way to go to experience old world charm. With old Chinatown and the main riverside attractions right at your door step exploring all the sights and attractions are all within easy walking distance. Make sure you schedule your stay to include Fri, Sat or Sun as the Jonker Market only operates on these days. Street food delights on market nights.

great boutique hotel”
this was our second stay & we were extremely happy with it just like our first visit. the hotel is just a few steps away from the entrance of jonker walk, which is really helpful when you need a quick rest after a long walk at jonker street, but do not want to waste time to get back at it again. we checked in early (around 12pm) & fortunately one of the two rooms was available. we parked the car inside the parking garage next to the hotel then went on food & shopping binge on foot. this time we got to try the rooms on the second level, and the rooms are just as nice as the one on the ground floor we stayed in previously. the bed is spacious enough for us two adults & a toddler. the bathroom is also large enough, with a separate shower area and water coming strongly from the rain shower. we would very likely go back when we visit malacca again.

Great stay with excellent service”
Our stay was fantastic.Even though the hotel is a small and cozy one, the staff were very friendly. The bed was very comfy. Room and bathroom was also very clean. The staff also acceded to our request to check in slightly earlier. Both the checking in and out were fuss free. The hotel is also within walking distance to the shopping areas. I love it that gingerflower is tucked in another lane and we were only 5mins away from jonker street. I will definitely come back here because of the accessibility. Highly recommended for couples whose priority is not having a huge hotel room. Only complain was our aircon was emitting some noise. But this was not a major problem for us as we managed to sleep through the night.

Unique and comfortable”
The location of the hotel is very good, near the Jonker Street but away from the noise and crowds (just behind the Jonker Street). The hotel bed is comfortable, toilet and room are very clean and the hotel staffs are friendly. Only that the rooms need to climb up stairs so if there's elderly who have inconvenience in movement may find it an issue. Overall, it's a pleasant stay. Will recommend to friends travelling to Malacca.

Excellent hotel and staffs!”
One of the best boutique hotels along Jonker area, very clean room with premium fittings. Although there was a little hick-ups during check-in, the staffs there handled the situation very professionally. Many thanks to Nizam (hope I get your name correctly), the guy wearing batik at the reception and the guy wearing green who always attend to my car parking needs (I didn't get their names). I apologize for the inconvenience cause and thank you. Highly recommended hotel. Regards, William K.

An enjoyable stay in a nice boutique hotel”
The stay at Gingerflower boutique hotel was nice. I was impressed by their staff, as we booked two rooms for 4 pax we specified under agoda that we would like the rooms to be next to each other. But when we arrived at the hotel, we were told by the staff that the rooms are separated but after some discussion between staff they told us that they can put us all together on the same floor next to each other. I'm impressed by their proactiveness to make guest feel at home as and when they can. I would suggest that they should pre-boiled some hard boil eggs for breakfast instead of having guest to wait for the eggs to be cooked.

A Beautiful Boutique Hotel”
This is a very beautiful boutique hotel. It is located right next to Jonker Walk, and is great if you just want to walk around without the hassle of driving through traffic. The rooms are very chic and you get the experience of staying in a heritage building. Coffee is excellent too...lol, all because of the Nespresso machine :) Only problem is parking. It's extremely limited but as long as you indicate to the hotel staff that you need parking, they'll find you one.

Great place to stay!”
Conveniently located , you can just park and walk around Malacca , Jonker. Free and good wifi connectivity. The decoration and renovation in the rooms and hotel are unique, with cultural elements. Breakfast was good and served with good quality cutlery that were clean. The room, bed and sheets were clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed our stay and will come back when we visit Malacca.
