The Ginza Capital Main Hotel is a very clean, satisfactory tourist class hotel. It met all my expectations. It is easily accessible by the Tokyo Subway Metro system. Staff is courteous and their english adequate. I will recommend the Ginza Capital Main Hotel to friends who are looking for a budget tourist class hotel that is convenient to the city of Tokyo. I did not patronize the hotel restaurant so my rating is not correct.
Great location and clean room”
It's hard to find a twin room in Tokyo, and Ginza Capital is just the one with reasonable price (we got early bird promotion with 35% off). The location of the hotel is perfect. With 2 metro lines downstairs and 20 mins walking distance to Ginza city center. There are some night food machine in level 2 of the hotel and 24hr stores nearby so you won't feel hungry even at midnight. There're also lots of restaurants around the street block, very worthy to try.
Good value for money”
We stayed at Ginza Capital during the cheery blossom season and the rates were still remarkable affordable for a hotel nicely situated near Ginza and Tsukiji. It is right next to a metro station (Shintomicho). The rate also comes with an excellent breakfast. The room is decently sized by Tokyo standards, is very clean (as per Japanese standards). and comes with all the key facilities and toiletries. Service is cordial and decent but don't expect them to go the extra mile such as calling a cab for you (reasonable considering this is not a five star hotel). All in all, this is a hotel which I would be happy to stay at again. The only downside is the impending move of Tsukiji fish market which would put a dent to the attractiveness of the hotel's location.
Large rooms, ”
At Shitomicho tokyo metro station Y20 Close to exit 1 elevator and turn Right 30 m They sale metro 1 day pass for yen (from 710 special price for guest) 2 day 980 yen. Just like tourist can buy only at airport. Large twin room for 2. Shishido soap, Free lan but no cable, No wifi. Suggest buy mini wifi router to plug in and have wifi in your room instead of in lobby and use at every hotel all over Japan and worldwide. Digital Cable TV (BS channels), Fox 238, dlife 258 and sports channel 101,102 with bilingual switch for english, korean channel same cable everywhere in japan big relief from before when there were only japanese language channels and shopping closed at 8 or 9 pm except all nite Don Quiote discount store. Older room, but large enough room for 2 sets or 4 luggage to open comfortably. Closet, Older bed and furniture Very close to fish market and Ginza about 8-10 mins walking. Would stay here again for the price, very quiet location, not too much traffic and not much near buy, 7-11 across street, Denny's coffee shop 60 m away. Of course 24 hour sushi at fish market, Sushizanmai 10 mins walking Nice cool welcome tea drink in lobby, Within walking distance to 3 convenience stores. Labtop rental 1000 yen per day Washing 200 yen 40 mins without detergent, Dry 100 yen 30 mins. We left our luggage here for 3 days without any problems as they store for you in a storage room, not in the center of the lobby like some hotels. 2 morning shuttles to Tokyo Station, board at the annex building. Within 10-15 mins walk to Ginza with all the shopping especially Uniqlo mega store, Muji and Yakatori under JR station in Ginza area. Would definitely stay here again.
Review of Ginza Capital Main Hotel ”
Ginza Captial Main Hotel is located in a very convenient location, which is about a 15-20 mins walk to the Ginza Shopping District, as well as the Tsukiji Market. There are also 2 subway lines nearby, making it easily accessible to travel within Tokyo. Hotel staff are very friendly and hospitable, always willing to provide a helping hand, making my stay in the hotel a very pleasant one. The hotel room is also well-equipped.
This was our first time to stay at the Ginza Capital Main Hotel and we were very happy we did, for its just a great locations for using as a base in Tokyo. Great small restaurants close by to grab a delicious meals and with the underground entrances at literally every corner. We couldn't have asked for more
They still use the old-fashioned keys as opposed to card keys, and the furnishings does seem dated, but the room is still clean. There is a free shuttle bus to Tokyo Station from its Annex (round the corner from the Main building) every morning, which can be helpful, if you want to avoid changing trains. Location-wise, I'd say the location is pretty good. At night, I managed to walk from the hotel to the Ginza shopping district within 30 minutes, though I did not walk back to the hotel, as I was quite lost by then. The next morning, it was a 15-20 mins' walk to Tsukiji Fish Market, which is great if you're trying to save on cab fare to catch the early morning tuna auctions. I passed on the tuna auction, and simply went to Tsukiji for some sushi breakfast after I checked out of the hotel (but I left my luggage at the hotel after I checked out).
Great Business Hotel”
The Ginza Capitol Tokyo Hotel strikes a commendable balance between comfort and convenience for the budget traveler. You are right on top the metro (remember your exit number) and the lights of Ginza are a nice stroll away. Yes, remember that the rooms are pretty small but the staff is top notch and were ready to answer all my questions.
ginza capital main hotel”
i stayed at the hotel for 10 days , the location is very good , within walking distance from the ginza center (10 min) the rooms are very clean albeit small (but i guess that's the way it is in tokyo) , there are metro stations of the hibiya and the yurakucho lines 50 meters from the hotel door , if you bring laptops there are plenty of open networks available (the internet at the loby is very overpriced), you can buy two day metrocard at the front desk that is cheaper than you can buy on the metro stations , the hotel offers a free shutle service to tokyo station (where the narta express leaves from 3 times a day ( you should register two days in advance ). all things considered - i think the value for money is very good and i would definately consider staying at the hotel again .
Great location and good for money”
It is quite easy to find this hotel even walking from Ginza station. This hotel is right beside two metra station. Very easy to access almost everywhere. But if you want to walk from Ginza shopping area, it is also very close. About 20 minutes walking if you chose the right way to walk. So close to the fish market. The staff are very helping. They don't speak much English but they tried very hard to help you. Especially when giving directions on the map, they tried to explain details and short cut and land mark for you to find your way to different places. And i have to point out that this is a very quiet location. The room is quiet. You can't hear anything from the trafic or street. The room sizes are small, like all Janpanise hotel rooms, but it is big enough for stay over night. It is good for money too. We had very pleasant stay.
Very convenient, very good breakfast”
Location is superb, the reception staff are very helpful. Main block of the hotel is a bit old but the rooms are clean and bed is comfortable. Annex Block of this Hotel is newer and it is where we have the yummy buffet breakfast. Free hotel Tokyo Station Shuttle bus departs from Annex Block. Tsukiji Fish Market is less than 10 minutes by foot, within 5 minutes there is Tsukiji Metro and Shintomicho Metro station. Less than 10 minutes walk away is Hachabori JR Station which takes you straight to Tokyo Disneylan/DisneySea. The Ramen shop near Hachabori JR Station is very good, love the noodles. Try the spicy ramen if you can take spicy food. I would definately stay here again on my next trip to Tokyo.
Good location close to Ginza”
We stayed only one night in Tokyo but from our hotel, we were able to spend the afternoon and evening in the Ginza shopping area. We went to the Tsukiji fish market in the morning ( a 30 minute leisurely walk), to Akihabara and Ueno later and back before lunch to pack up and get our things and go to Tokyo station for our trip to Kyoto. The hotel therefore is in a good location to get to many places in Tokyo where the Hibiya line passes. The Tsukiji station (about 10 minutes walk to hotel) is only 1-2 stops away from Ginza and about 4-5 from Tokyo station where you can ride the bullet trains. Hotel also allowed us late checkout at 12 noon, instead of eleven am.
Nice small Hotel ”
We like Ginza Capital Main Hotel very much , unless not Deluxe Hotel , but room was clean & closed to surway & Tsukiji Fish Market & Disneyland . Better than staying at Shinjuku ( too crowd this area ). If this next we back to Tokyo , for sure we will stay at the same hotel.
Stayed in the twin share room with my brother. There was more space than I was expecting and the beds were comfortable. The mini bar fridge was a bonus as we would buy breakfast the night before from the convenience store and then keep it till the morning. It wasn’t too noisy either and close to both the metro and JR rail. The JR Line is one stop away from Tokyo station making it easy to navigate around the city by public transport. This hotel was amazing and the staff were super helpful I would stay here again if I went back to Tokyo!
Spotless Hotel with a great location.”
The hotel was very centrally located, close to restaurants, shopping, the mass transit system and tourist sites. Even though it was on a very quiet street, it was in walking distance of the Ginza district where there is a vibrancy almost 24 hours a day. Tokyo, although very crowded, is an orderly city with very polite people who are always prepared to help you even though there is a scarcity of English speaking people.
Near Shintomicho subway station”
Stayed here with my wife and two kids, aged 7 and 4, last August 23-27 2015. Check-out time is 10AM. Hotel is a few minutes walk to Tsukiji market. Despite the name, Ginza shopping area is still a few stations away. You'll find yourself going to Yurakucho station first, then walking Hibiya station, to again ride another train to Ginza. Area around hotel is very quiet. Not much stores/restaurants around. If you use google maps to locate hotel, you'll end up in Ginza Capital Hotel Annex, not this one. This one is located a few minutes walk across the street. If you need to print something, say a plane boarding pass or Disney e-ticket, you'll have to go to the Annex hotel. Will still recommend this hotel for the affordable rate.
Great hotel and strategic location”
Both me and my father were very satisfied with this hotel. Not only the location is near to tsukiji fish market but it is also located near to a lot of branded shopping malls.I will definitely recommend my family and my friends to stay here. The price is reasonable although it is located in ginza. I had my koube beef in a famous restaurant during my stay over there.
Quiet and convenient neighborhood”
Staff responded promptly and brought a small fan to help relieve the lack of air conditioning. Opening the window was limited but eventually provided cool outside air and the area was pretty quiet, even with the window open. Easy access to all of Tokyo with two subway lines close by. Brief rides to Ginza, Imperial Palace, Disney area. Walk around the block from the hotel for a variety of interesting small shops and restaurants (even a Denny's). Take an early morning 1/2 mile walk southwest (past Denny's) to the central wholesale market - it's marvelous mayhem to see, but watch the traffic!
Ginza Capital Main Hotel, November 2008”
A very nice hotel at a reasonable cost. Easy access by train from Narita Airport to Ueano, then take a subway. Walking distance to the fish market. Breakfast was very good. Both western style and Japanese available. Did not try dinner. Subway station (station 10 on Hibiya line) just around the corner. 2 stations to Ginza centre and 5 stations to Akihabara.
Nice Hotel and Great Location”
It is the great location of hotel 3 minute walk from Tsukiji Station (Hibiya line). Close to Tsukiki market and about 10-15 minutes walk to the Ginza shopping street. Staff are very helpful. Provided internet cable for use with notebook in the room. Great. Thank you.
