Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza gochome
Ginza,Ginza - View on map
"Really nice hotel that is a little away from the busy Ginza area but close enough to get to the main shopping areas. Subway just across the road and if you are taking the limo bus services from airport, the Marriott courtyard stop is just a few hundred metres away. Plenty of food around with a nice little noodle/rice place just next to it. Breakfast was great with a choice of sushi/japanese/western set. Stayed in the moderate deluxe with two twin beds which are big enough to sleep 2 adults and 2 kids under 7. Only downside is that they don't offer concierge services so you will need to take your luggages to your room on your own. Which was a bit of a hassle as we travelled with two young kids which luggage and strollers. Definitely will stay here again if in Tokyo. "

"We really enjoyed Japan. A big plus also staying here in Ginza Mitsui. Modern rooms and courteous staffs. The room is small 20sq m but very clean and complete w all amenities. Tried lunch buffet for only ¥ 2580 it was good . Not so many food but special ones . Accross mistuskoshi and matsuya dept stores and 2 mins walk to Ginza strip many stores like Zara Uniqlo Gu Apple LV Chanel almost all branded stores. 10 mins walk to Catholic Church . 10 mins walk to Tsukiji Fish market where you can find fresh catch and good food. Tried unagi salmon oysters uni there. I'll go back to Tokyo I'll stay in this hotel again . Ate at ippudo ramen , ikinari steak 2mins walk all good. Ate Katsu also near Ginza strip. From Ginza station you can go anywhere Tokyo like shinjuku, shibuya, Tokyo tower , Tokyo tree , kawagoe , Disney sea , etc . Shuttle to Haneda airport is only ¥ 930 per person 25 mins away from courtyard Marriott just 400m at the back of Mitsui Hotel. Hotel rooms , toilets are superb . Clean towels , blessings and carpet . You can find a lot of food , sushi and cakes at the basement of Mitsukoshi and matsuya but available for to go only . Food are affordable and lots of choices. Try to eat at fish market prices are cheaper and more fresh . There are also second hand stores in Ginza strip. There's a bus many times a day to gotemba outlet in Tokyo station 30 mins walk from hotel or one stop from Ginza station. I like everything in Tokyo no pressure at all . Carefree trip coz it's really a very very safe place . The safest place all over the world is Japan. Also the people are so courteous and good . They respect all races no discrimination at all . I'll definitely go back very soon . "

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Ginza

"My experience with this hotel is excellent. Fast check in and check out. I booked thru Agoda. T"he location of the hotel is accessible to everything- shopping and eating, subway station (ginza itchome entrance and exit) infront of the hotel, while ginza sta and ginza higashi are a few blocks away from the hotel, There's no dull momemt at ginza. The hotel is new, For us, the room is spacious with 2 single beds. My 8 year old daughter and I shared bed and it is spacious. the hotel staff are very accommodating and respectful. the hotel entrance is at the side of the building. We took the access narita bus from narita airport and from the ginza bus stop we walk to the hotel to familiarize with the environment. our landmark to the hotel is the chou dori st - Melsa and Harry Winston dept stores. If you are going around tokyo, the ginza line is a very good mode of transpo- connecting or direct line to famous places. Next time we visit tokyo, i will surely book with this hotel again, no doubt. Also, i will recommend this hotel to my friends visiting tokyo this year and next year. Daiwa Roynet Hotel Ginza Mgt. pls maintain and continue the excellent service... "

The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Tokyo Shiodome

"We were traveling for our honeymoon and wanted something nice but not too expensive. Even though it may be pricier than some other hotels, you pay for the awesome location (sheltered all the way to Shimbashi station, and connected to Ginza station. And just one stop away from Tokyo station). The guest relations staff were really helpful in making reservations for us and helping us out during typhoon hagibis as well!"

"I enjoyed my stay at the Mitsui Garden Ginza hotel tremendously because the hotel is very comfortable and it's very new. The hotel is very close to the Shimbashi station so you can travel via the Ginza, Hibiya, and JR Line. There are also many shops and restaurants nearby so you won't be lonely. I look forward to my next business trip so I can stay there again."

Ginza Grand Hotel

"We extended our stay in Tokyo and needed a hotel for 2 days. We were able to booked a hotel in Ginza Grand Hotel. The location is awesome. Central to Subway and shopping district. A few blocks from famous fish market as well. Cost for the room is very reasonable $109 and $159. The room with 2 beds was much larger than 1 bed. The 1 bed room was very small. Since we were hardly in the hotel, it was ok. If you need the space, don't get the 1 bed room. In addition, even though we were in a non smoking room, you can still smell the cigarette smoke in the hallway. For the location and pricing, I would reserve it again...but only the letter room. We were able to take the subway from Ginza to Narita airport...1 hour and 15 minutes direct. Great plus. "

"The hotel is a short walk to the local station, maybe five to ten minutes. You can walk to Ginza Mitsukoshi in twenty minutes and the fish market in fifteen. You must visit the market in the day, bustling, crowded and fascinating. At night it is quiet but the sushi restaurants are amazing. So the hotel is well located. It is spotless, very well cleaned. The facilities are good, the restaurants are very nice, but maybe not the best, hence four rather than five stars. However the sushi bar was amazing, a bit expensive, but great fun and tasty. The room was well laid out, good sized lounge, comfy bed and great bathroom. The receptionist, Yukiko, was the best I have experienced in a five star or any star hotel around the world, and I have stayed in a few. She combined politeness, friendliness, helpfulness and patience, an absolute star."

Hotel Sunroute Ginza
Ginza,Ginza - View on map
"I enjoyed staying in Sunroute Ginza. It’s actually located walking distance from Tokyo Station and close to Ginza Main Street Ginza 1. Clean toilets, comfortable bed. Toiletries from Shiseido . However , there isn’t much TV channel for me to watch and most channel you’ve got to pay. Rooms are small but it’s normal in Japan. Internet WiFi connection is good and I never had to reconnect at all. Toilet shower and pressure is good. Pillows and sheets are clean. Floor carpet is clean . It’s a good buisness hotel if you’re planning to just come back at night and sleep . I’m out most of the day and for me this hotel is just perfect. But you’ve got to know the streets well in order to find this hotel. Or just take a taxi from Tokyo station to this hotel and it cost only 1000Yen. Hotel staffs are helpful and friendly . Thank you Sunroute Hotel Ginza and hope to see you again. Dr.Aruen Healthcare Professional& Entrepreneur MALAYSIA"

In and around Ginza

More about Ginza

In the 19th century, Japan reopened trade links with the West after a 200-year closed-door period. The exotic fashions imported from Europe and the Americas where showcased here in Ginza. The tradition continues today, and Ginza remains the most exclusive shopping district in the entire country. There are many luxury hotels in Ginza connected to massive department stores like Ginza Mitsukoshi.

On-site hotels are also in reach of up-market restaurants and swanky drinking establishments. Ginza Sapporo Lion’s Pub is a particularly famous restaurant in this area. The restaurant’s imposing Gothic style is unlike any seen in Tokyo. Guests choose from Western and Japanese dishes, but the main attraction is Sapporo beer served in a German-style beer hall.

One of the defining sites of Ginza is the Sony Building, a defining example of postmodern architecture in Japan. Other local attractions include the gardens of Hama Rikyu, built around a 17th-century villa that belonged to Shogun Tokugawa.

Shinbashi district is immediately south of Ginza. The district was built around JR Shinbashi Station, which has been renovated and now hosts a popular restaurant and a museum that explores the history of Japanese Railways. Within Shinbashi is Shiodome, a high-rise district famous for the shops and restaurants in towering Shiodome City Centre.

Accommodation in Ginza / Shinbashi is as popular with international shoppers as it is with visiting Japanese. Guests enjoy convenient access to the train network thanks to Ginza Station and JR Yurakucyo Station. Between the two, there are links to metro and elevated railways.
