Charm on the banks of the lake”
The hotel has an eclectic charm and is nicely located across the street from the lake. Rooms have whitewashed beams and sponged blue walls, creating a nice ambience. Beds were comfortable and tidy. We enjoyed the hotel restaurant and the breakfast was tasty. Showers were hot. Wifi was dicey, but typical of Nepal. Reception was stronger in the restaurant than in our room. My husband got a massage via the spa which was of top notch quality. We very much enjoyed our stay.
Accommodation on the banks of the lake”
Spacious and clean rooms, average breakfast. In the price of the accommodation was a boat trip and airport transfer included. Even though the transfer was confirmed, nobody was waiting for us at the airport.
Hotel ar great location and with super friendly owner & staff”
My wife and I stayed in the honeymoon suit for about a week even if it was not our honeymoon. We thoroughly enjoyed the week. The hotel provides a good starting point for exploring the lakeside, damside and starting some simple hikes. The hotel breakfast incl. in our room cost was very good. The best thing about this hotel is the very friendly and accommodating staff as well as the owner. Time permitting, the owner is willing to offer some tours to guests... at a lower cost, to less touristy spots and a much more personal experience compared to all the tours you can book at the dozens of tour operator shops in Pokhara. We definitely recommend this hotel.
Really great stay ”
We really enjoyed our time at Glacier! The staff were really helpful, the room was clean, hot water was plentiful and the bed was comfortable. It’s also in a great location, as it’s only a 10 minute walk to Central Lakeside. Though it wasn’t a huge deal for us, the only ‘con’ was that the WiFi wasn’t very good in our room. Just as an FYI, there’s a lovely coffee shop called Am/Pm Cafe right beside of the hotel and they have a better connection. All in all, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we’re in Pokhara :).
Amazing location, beautiful view and friendly staff”
The room was very clean and spacious, beautiful view of Phewa Lake and there are several restaurants and shops around the hotel. The lake is just opposite the hotel and you can rent a small boat or a pedal boat. The breakfast was good and the food at the harbour restaurant was delicious. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. I had a great stay at this hotel.
Nice, clean and good location”
The rooms are nice, the WiFi was reliable, my only complaint is the breakfast buffet needs a little improvement. However it’s very nice to have a real coffee freshly made from the machine for each guest.
Beautiful hotel in beautiful Pokhara, made better with a magical sunrise trek”
We stayed at Glacier Hotel for 3 nights over the Christmas break in Dec 2017. We opted for the Honeymoon suite, which was absolutely worth the extra cost. Suite is on the top floor, and had a homely feel to the design, with a large bath tub to soak in after a long day in Pokhara. Awesome views of Pokhara from the room, and right outside the room is a rooftop patio that looks directly at the lake - patio is open to all guests but we found ourselves alone most of the time given that the Honeymoon suite was the only room on that floor and the other floors have their patios as well (I think). The service from the hotel staff was delightfully good, and very honestly the best we've experienced our whole trip. We signed up for a very reasonably priced Dhampus sunrise trek (~5 hours) which was the highlight of our trip. Rajendran, the owner of the hotel, was our personal guide for the trek, and he took us on the trek of our lives.
Best place to recharge after mountain hiking”
After 10 days of trekking in the Annapura Circuit trek, my girlfriend and i checked into Glacier Hotel & Spa in Pokhara Lakeside district. We were very glad that we chose this luxurious boutique hotel after our arduous trek as the facilities and service were superb for our bodies to recuperate. Probably due to the low season in Dec, we were upgraded to the junior suite though we booked the deluxe room. The hotel has an excellent western restaurant Harbour where we had a very full dinner. The portion was huge and staff were attentive. We had breakfast in the Fountain Cafe within the hotel and it was a very good experience.Would like to give special mention to receptionist Sushmita who was professional and flexible to our requests. Would definitely stay here again next time i visit Pokhara.
Excellent hotel with good value of money”
The rooms are tastefully designed, clean and brand new. Breakfast is good, bar restaurant has very good ambience. Location is great , close to airport and adjacent you can find money changer, travel agency, grocery, laundry, shops and many other restaurants. Staffs are super helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!
awesome location but left disappointed”
We booked the honeymoon suite which was fantastic. The views from the top deck are amazing. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.Unfortunately we were left disappointed with many things not working. The wifi only worked in our room 1 day out of 3.The fridge did not get cold,so could not use it at all to cool anything. The spa bath did not work for the whole 3 days we were there.Even after telling the reception, the spa bath did not get fixed.Every time we had a shower the splitter pin which separates the water from the bath tap to the shower did not work so we had to jam a toothbrush in it to keep the water flowing out of the shower. The room was also very noisy. When i complained at the end of our stay, they said they were sorry but had to take it up with Agoda because that is who i booked through.Very disappointing.
Excellent location, friendly staff, lovely view”
We checked into Glacier after our trek and had a great experience. We booked a honeymoon suite and had access to the terrace on the top floor, where we could see a nice view of the Phewa Lake. The room was huge, clean and comfortable, beyond our expectations. The hotel is centrally located, with just a 5 min walk to the main part of the town. The staff are friendly and attentive. The hotel restaurant food was good too. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to Pokhara.
Great location and clean room. Very helpful and nice staff. Breakfast is good. We would come again next time.
A hotel with no credit and trust”
I stayed at Glacier on Mar 24th when I finished a trekking in Annapurna. I did not make any online booking in advance, so I checked the rate with the reception when arrival, they told me it's USD100 and I paid by card. Later after my checked-in, I found their rate is only USD70 online for the same room type we stayed. Their staff kindly agreed to refund the USD100 that I paid and re-book my room online. I left the hotel the next day for Lumbini, and they had not arranged the refund yet, but they promised to arrange the refund as soon as possible. I believe their words because I think Glacier is a decent hotel. But up to now, I did not receive the refund. During the past one week, I sent three or four e-mails to Glacier, inquiring how it was with my refund. Surprisingly, no one reply me with a word. It seems that I am sending e-mails to a hotel with no person. I really wonder why a hotel like Glacier will treat their guest like this?
Amazing location, room and friendly staff ”
The room was very spacious and clean, we had a beautiful view of Phewa Lake and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was good. I had a great stay at this hotel
Room 6101 - Best Room with a View”
We can see sunrise, mountain, as well as lake view from this room. Food was so so, nothing special, near to the boat rental if you would like to rent a boat.
clean and convenient lakeside hotel”
don't forget to arrange airport shuttle it's FREE
awesome place to stay after trekking trip.
The most beautiful hotel in Pokhara”
Attention to detail and charm best describe the Glacier Hotel & Spa. My boyfriend and I stayed in a junior suite on the 6th floor with a large balcony overlooking Phewa lake. The food was incredible and the coffee was some of the best I have ever tasted. Seriously, I would go back just for the coffee! Room service was fantastic and all of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We felt like our stay in the hotel was genuinely appreciated. Everyone was so kind and helpful. It is a family owned hotel and it is so beautiful, you can imagine a wealthy local family creating this gem with love and pride. It's truly one of the most wonderful places I have ever stayed.
We booked for 3 nights but left in 2. Hotel is very average. Rooms feel very worn out, terrible ambience as well. Extremely worn out towels. Breakfast is somedays buffet, other days a la carte also not great for vegans. Room is depressing. Bar downstairs is nice & the staff is very friendly. Junior suite is not worth the price as its very small, more like a standard room.
Nice staff but dirty sheets...”
The staff here are friendly and helpful. Disappointed to find that the bedsheets in my room were not changed from the previous guests’ stay. The bedsheet was coming off the bed, had a huge stain in the middle and there were traces of hair underneath the blanket. Also while the hotel is relatively modern, it has definitely seen better days. The bathtub curtain is yellow and moldy at the bottom, this should be cleaned and washed regularly. Also the shower wall has some mold and signs of wear with the paint wearing off. Some light renovations would be good.
