Good Option for Siem Reap Touring Angkor Wat”
If you are looking for a well priced, good, clean, cool, well appointed, friendly place to base yourself whilst spending the days touring Angkor Wat and the many surrounding temple sites then Gloria Angkor is for you. Be aware it is a little out of town with a 10 minute return Tuk Tuk but there are also good places to eat locally starting with the Hotel and local street food and restaurants. The Hotel feels old with fantastic woodwork and gracious facade...but it was built in 2010. The pool is excellent after a big day touring and the rooms are good sized and comfortable. Wifi was excellent. We loved the large, firm but comfortable be. Be aware to leave the key tag in the slot whilst away or the fridge won't work. We got back after 9 hours to tepid beers and coke because the fridge went off when we left. Staff were good and Mr Veng our Tuk Tuk driver was a nice fellow. Check prices because tours do differ and Tuk Tuk drivers will recommend and take you to places that are not the cheapest but where they get kick backs. We enjoyed Gloria Angkor and would recommend it if you do not have to be in the middle of the action of the main town

The hotel is about 25 mins away from te airport via Tuktuk and 15 mins away from Pubstreet. The room and the pool were superb! There's free buffet bfast and they also arrange to packed our food when we went for Angkor Wat's sunrise viewing. The staff who assisted us doesn't speak English very well but they were very polite and attentive. One of them even accompanied us to buy food outside when we arrived late at night. They also arranged a tour for us with the Tuktuk driver from the hotel. I wouldn't say it's the best deal but if you want a worry free tour, you can go with it. I would definitely recommend Gloria Angkor Hotel to everyone I know as they exceeded my expectations.
Situated on a wide commercial street around 10 minutes drive to the tourist centre, rooms are double glazed so quiet. We booked a family room which was spacious and clean. The hotel provides free transfers to the tourist centre, just ask reception. There is a local market and street food nearby. Swimming pool is beautiful. Breakfast was either cooked fresh or a small buffet, both fine. Staff are wonderful, very friendly and helpful. They can arrange great value tours. All in all, we had the perfect stay here.
Awesome hotel. Best pool . Great location. Great service ”
I stayed at Gloria Angkor for 6days 5 nights... Personally I enjoyed my stay ... On our arrival day tho the tuk tuk was late but they apologised and ensured it never occurred again.... We informed the hotel that we will be visitng Angkor wat for the sunrise tour at4.30am.. They packed our breakfast and gave it to us as we were leaving the hotel in the early mornings... We took tuk tuk number 5. Mr Taa as our driver for the duration of our stay and he was never late nor rude or did not grumble at the amount we agreed to pay him... 9 out of 10 times we gave him a time n he was always there earlier... The hotel was clean n the staff was awesome they even gave us a free gift as we checked out... I would recommend this hotel as I had the best time here.... No bed bugs no dirty floors ... Housekeeping daily... It's safe and no noise from the outside can be heard ... Thank you Gloria !!!😄
Still a wonderful place to stay”
We have stayed here several times now over the last couple of years. This is just a great place to stay for the price. The location is much less of a problem now that National Road 6 has seen improvements.
I stayed in this hotel recently for 2 nights. The hotel is not located near to Pub Street but its only less than 10 minutes tuk tuk drive from the hotel. The hotel also provided free tuk tuk service to Pub Street from 6 pm to 10 pm daily. My tuk tuk driver, who is also an employee of this hotel, I assume, is very friendly and I hired him for 2 days at the cost of $45 USD to bring me to Angkor Wat, Bayon Temples, Ta Phrom and Banteay Srei. If the hotel is reading my review, please once again help me to thank him. He has done a very good job. I have paid $60 SGD for 2 nights (double bed room) and it has exceeded my expectations. There's a pool in the hotel; free breakfast and my room is very spacious. As for the free breakfast, I really find the fried instant noodles tasty and delicious. On the downside, I would have hope its a short walking distance to Pub Street but then again, the location was made known to me before I have made reservation for this hotel. Do take note that there is no lift for this hotel. Lovely stay, I would definitely consider this hotel again if I ever return to Siem Reap.
Great Hotel and good service”
We stayed at Gloria Angkor Hotel for 3 nights.. Our tuk-tuk driver,Mr. Sela was simply the best. He was always on time, very humble, friendly and his quotation on the rates of his tuk-tuk services are reasonable. He also drives safely.. ;) We were pleasantly surprised that the staff packed breakfast for us in the early morning since we had to go to Angkor Wat before 5am. The room was great, the staff were accommodating and my, we enjoyed dipping in the pool.. Food was also great.. Thanks and looking forward to come back again..,
Great deal outside of the tourist boom”
Our family greatly appreciated the less formal but professional atmosphere. Everything was clean (including the pool!)and comfortable. We find that the hotel is a great find among the options in Siem Reap, where we travel to fairly regularly. It is a bit outside of the tourist area, but the plus is that it is right near Siem Reap's mainKhmer market--a wonderful place to visit. Recent construction has also cut down on traffic that direction, making the location less of an issue than previously.
Wonderful Staff and Hotel.”
The location is the only disadvantage of this Hotel. We did not know but each hotel in Siem Riep has a tuk tuk/moto driver. These men are not paid by the hotel unless they get a person from the hotel to hire them for the day. Please hire this person because they cannot take any rides from other tourists' they can only take your money. So hire these people and not someone off the street. No business, no money for these lovely and obliging gentlemen. We were told this story by someone who could not work for a Hotel because he needed to work every day and not just sometimes. The hotel is a great place but too far from town; however, it only costs $2USD into and out of town so if you want to relax away from the tourist hype, this is the place for you!
already recommended it”
the staff is very accomodating to all our requests. they gave us good advice with what to do with our time in siem reap. the tuktuk was good and pleasant. communication wasnt a problem at all. they may not be near the town proper but the tuktuk driver is always ready to take us there for free. the room is very clean and nice. i always check the toilet to gauge the quality of the hotel and gloria angkor's was awesome. the tub was super clean and looked new. for the bed, the pillows were great. i had a good night's sleep. will definitely come back.
The hotel is good and the staff are fantastic”
We enjoyed a couple of nights here, on the way to visit Angkor Wat - the staff is fantastic, helpful and always attentive to guests. The hotel's breakfast is actually good and filling - essential for a day of exploring temples and markets. The pool area is a welcome refuge in the heat of the afternoon. The hotel is a bit far from the centre of Siem Reap, but there's several tuk-tuk drivers available to take you anywhere for 2 or 3 USD. We would return to this hotel in our next visit.
The room was very spacious and clean. There were a wide variety of breakfast options. Most of the staff were very friendly. Shout out to Chuop who was very friendly and attentive when I got sick. The tuktuk driver Pon was very nice too. The swimming pool was God-sent after a very tiring day.
Good quality hotel at a discounted room rate ”
I enjoyed my stay at the Gloria, it's located away from the centre of Siem Reap, but that's not a problem because at night I used the free tuk tuk service and in the day my bicycle... Easy for me to cycle to Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples from the hotel. The room was spacious and the ensuite bathroom had a bathtub as well as shower, nice feature. The complimentary buffet breakfast was basic but adequate. The pool was ice cold and very refreshing after a hot day. The room rate was exceptionally good and there excellent value. I would definitely stay here again if I could get such a good room rate in the future.
Sets A Good Standard”
This hotel is a good choice for a few nights in Siem Reap. The staff are extremely friendly and seem genuinely interested in meeting the needs of guests, in a way that goes much beyond any pitch for tours run by the hotel. The guest rooms are what you would expect from a hotel of its type, but with little extras such as Khmer fables being left on guest pillows as part of the turndown service. The hotel restaurant is reasonably priced but the Khmer food seems a bit too westernised for my taste. The only real area where the hotel lets itself down is the buffet breakfast. It is very simple, but in spite of this the staff don't manage to keep it full and there are way too many "5 minute waits for eggs, or fried rice, or noodles. The hotel's location is not really a plus but it partly accounts for the good deal you are getting on price: the same thing 2-3 km closer to town would be at least 30% more expensive. In any case, the hotel runs free rides to to the old town between 6:00pm and 10:30pm every night, and a person fresh of the plan could negotiate a fare of no more than $2.00 into town. All in all, the Gloria is a good choice with a plethora of good hotels.
Great Value Hotel”
A great value hotel. The manager was extremely friendly and attentive, the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. Every day, the manager tried hard to please, including leaving TV schedules on the bed every day and serving all-day breakfast. The hotel is a little far from the centre, but tuk-tuks are free before 10 pm.
lovely little hotel...”
we stayed for 3 nights and totally loved our stay here! when we arrived, we were greeted with smiles from all the staffs and were served welcome drinks + a little munchies...the hotel was clean and cozy....our rooms were big and very comfortable...bathroom was clean...but what we really appreciated were the little things: the bedtime stories (sent to the room every evening with a little basket of sweets+flowers!)...coffee+tea+fruits+biscuits provided FOC at all time! the little chitchat with the very helpful staffs...free thukthuk rides to town (5 minutes away)...and many many more! i would like to note here that Gloria Angkor Hotel gives such wonderful hospitality, more that some 5 star hotels!!! and we were very very happy throughout our stay!
Good customer service, good experience”
the hotel is quite conviniently located just after coming in from phnom phen (if you are arriving from pp to sr). the service standard is very good and they give very thoughtful service. the tuk tuk driver asigned to us by the hotel is also excellent. rooms are not bad and quite spacious. cleanliness is also ok. don't expect too much on the breakfast though. overall this hotel is real value for the money. will here stay again on my next visit to siam reap.
Nice budget hotel with good service”
This is one of nicest budget hotel I have stayed so far in term of its service and the spacious room. We were greeted with a welcome drinks with some snacks when we arrive. There are also free coffee and tea near the reception, which is available all the time. Whenever we came back hotel for a rest at the lobby, we were served cold drinks. The room is spacious and the toilet is also reasonable. The location of hotel is also not that far from Angkor Wat. We booked the tour guide and tuktuk to Angkor Wat and Tonle Sap through hotel and it was quite good. Besides, the hotel also provide free tuktuk from 7-10pm to the night market.
far from the city”
like the hotel, staff, breakfast, etc but very far from the city. Tuk Tuk cost around 10 dollars just coming back forth from hotel to city.. 3 meals is cheaper than the transportation. prefer to stay in city.. which we can just walk for sightseeing and eat. also very far angkor wat. the only good thing is closer to ticket counter..
Great Value for Money and very accommodating staff”
Thanking Gloria Angkor Hotel and the very accommodating staff on our 6 days stay in Cambodia! They are readily available to provide for us private tours with flexible schedule and itinerary. Thanking Mr. Maro (our tuk-tuk driver) because he is patient (due to language barrier we can't fully understand each other most of the time) and always happy. AND ON TIME! I suggest requesting for him as your tuk-tuk driver. =] Again, great value for money. They also always have fresh towels and sheets every time we come back from our tours, with no charge at all! Also, they accommodated for us to stay a bit longer (with a fee of course) since our flight back home is in the evening. So all in all, totally recommending Gloria Angkor Hotel for affordability, comfort, and its staff.
