awesome remote off the beaten track gem”
stayed here during NYE 2020 to 2021 [yes covid 19 season] and absolutely loved it. solo woman traveler and was looking for remote, pristine beach, area for my yoga, with a restaurant amenities and wifi for work. this place met all the above. wasn't sure what to expect but the villas - specifically the beachfront pool villa ones are spacious and the amenities all here. The white pristine beach, and toward the far. right. of resort had an area for perfect sunbathing away from peoples [werent many during this time] anyway - making you feel like youre on a private island to yourself. I did yoga on the beach and grass during sunset and sunrise everyday and it was such bliss. Agnes - resort manager- and May at front desk and the team of delightful staff at the restaurant were such a pleasant crew and so so helpful! Highly recommend for families, couples, solo, groups. I was solo and loved it. safe and still just enough people. that it wasnt too quiet. enjoy! i'll be back

One of the best places we have stayed”
A very nice sort with small huts which was clean, spacious and has an OUTSIDE SHOWER, which is the best thing! Breakfast is good, food is fine - portions a little small. Good view towards the sunset, monkeys fetching coconuts in palm trees nearby and a nice, clean beach. Remember the tide, so bathing is best in some hours of the day. A nice little village nearby with scooter rental, small shops, restaurants etc. Very friendly staff and good value for money - we extended our stay with three days because everything was so good.

After leaving Bangkok and flying to Phuket . We arranged transfers with the hotel . Which was a fantastic and reliable service . A safe drive to the pier where we caught a speed boat , being the last passengers they where waiting for us . We arrived at Koh Yao Yai where the driver was waiting for us to take us to the hotel . When we arrived at the hotel we where really welcomed and first impressions where how traditional and how basic the reception/lobby was which we were so amazed with. When we were shown to our room it was the same impression but with the wow factor . The location and the views was breathtaking. This hotel is for people who want peaceful, relaxing and stress free holiday. It’s also ideal for people who enjoy riding mopeds in a safe quite and beautiful views . The food was amazing . The manager and staff were really helpful and provided excellent service and always smiling .

The staff are very friendly and helpful and the accommodation is very comfortable and in excellent condition, which lends itself to a place to come if you want to relax and unwind in this beautiful setting. Even the situation covid-19, just a fews menu for breakfast but enought for us, the restaurant close at 8.00pm, so we drove out for dinner, no minibar set up in the room by the way they set 2 bottles of water and you will get the nice coffee maker machine in the room. Many things was limited due to Covid-19 but nothing is the problem. We are undertstand the situation and we got the memmorable stay here. Special thank you for Khun Honey for warm welcome and a lady staff at breakfast that serve us with happiness smile. Villa at beachfront so amazing! Quite beach and the shade of big tree gave us the relaxing time. Over expactation for our holiday at Koh Yao Yai. We would love to go back again and again.

We Loved it here! Hotel is beautiful. We had a pool villa right on the end and we really loved it. The hotel was so peaceful. The staff were superb! Food was lovely. Perfect for a week away. Agnes the manager was always walking around checking everyone was okay. I would highly recommend!!! This is the perfect place if you don't want to do much. We did however do the island tour with Mr bansit (I think his name was) and the mangroves kayaking which were both fun!!! Great holiday!!!!

We had a wonderful time at this resort. The private beach, villas, and staff were perfect. We booked this accommodation over others nearby based on much more helpful responses from GLOW staff. They helped us a TON once we were in Thailand in getting to the hotel and coordinating everything we had need for. Definitely rent a scooter and explore the island and grab some street food!

I almost don't want to share this review b/c I hope that this gem of a hotel stays a secret! The service extended to us from the moment they got us on the boat - to greeting us at the hotel with flowers for our hair, a cold cloth & a cool drink - was top notch! Stunning beach with sugar sand and great shallow warm water, great pool, fantastic menu, beautiful grounds, comfortable rooms (and love the outdoor shower!). The resort has a such private vibe - quiet & relaxing day and night here. Thanks for a week in paradise Agnes & crew!!

If you wanna experience the real paradise on earth. You should go to Glow Elixir at Ko Yao Yai. Very friendly people, private beach and a very calm part of the island. We were really sad to be taken away by government for COVID reasons. We will come back as soon as we have spent the 10 days quarantaine! (and have some money left...) Hopefully we see you soon!

I love that everyone(staff) in the resorts are super friendly and polite and helpful. Just the day before I checked out, they actually called to our room and check on my next destination so that they can arrange or suggest the route for us. So sweet... They will find out info that we need without any hesitation. The beach are just right infront which is super great, and probably one of the nicest beach in yao yai. Need to hire a scooter to get around town though. The only thing is this resort are abit far away from the main area ( town?) but if you can ride a scooter, no problem at all. We got ours at 'sheerah restaurant' for 200bht /day. Me n my partner just so happy we stayed here and we had a Glowing stay!

Very Quiet Island”
Koh Yao Yai is a very quiet unspoilt island. With it being a Muslim island there are very few places where you can get alcohol (except the resorts). If you want a place to just chill out and just enjoy the nature of the island then this is the place for you. The GLOW Elixir resort was a perfect place to relax. The resort is maybe a little dated but the bungalows were well appointed and clean. The outside shower made a nice addition to the whole experience. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good. There was a reasonable (but not massive) choice of food. There was a nice pool (with a poll bar) which is only metres away from the hotels private beach. If you want to go and eat somewhere else there is a choice of 4 or 5 different restaurants only 200 metres away (non of them serve alcohol though). It is worth renting a motorbike for a few days to explore the island and its lovely beaches.

Great stay despite the rainy season”
The rainy season didn’t dampen our mood during our stay. 3 mins walk to motorbike rental, 5 mins to a restaurant. If the weather is good, the speedboat will dock at nearby pier. It’s definitely a well, quiet time spent at this establishment. If you are into party and stuff, this island is not for you. Love the concept of outdoor shower area. Breakfast is good! It will be perfect if hotel can provide SUP, canoe rental right at the hotel beach.

This place will be one I'll always remember. Beautiful room, beautiful private beach, warm seas and amazing facilities. The food is excellent and it is a short walk (<5 mins) to other restaurants and places to hire a scooter or organise tours. The staff are worth a huge mention as they are so warm and friendly and were also incredibly helpful in organising all sorts of admin relating to COVID-time travelling! I would describe this place as tranquil, friendly and a true Thai hospitality experience.

Beautiful, personal, peaceful small resort”
Beautiful room with incredible outdoor shower, the staff were all lovely and it felt like really personal service. The resort is right on a beautiful private beach, with plenty of comfortable sun loungers and also plenty of shade from trees which was much needed in the heat. Pool a decent size though sun loungers next to that had no cushions so were a bit hard. I feared the restaurant would be really expensive but actually it wasn’t at all, food was simple and tasty and there were 3 or 4 very local restaurants you could walk to easily if you fancied a change. We both had a massage - 600 Baht for an hour ( about £15 ) , in a simple air conditioned massage room behind the pool. That was great and one of the massage ladies also runs her own place just outside the resort on the ‘main’ road, where prices are a little cheaper. Overall, a wonderful quiet resort on a quiet island.

Perfect getaway”
This resort is beyond expectations. Totally value for money. It is located near the pier hence travelling there is hassle free. There are also restaurants on the main road - just next to the resort. The sunset view from its private beach was breathtaking and the area is not crowded as compared to other resorts. Perfect place if you’re looking for a quiet and more relaxed stay (away from the crowd). Will definitely come back again.

Quiet place with excellent service!”
If there’s one thing that really stood out for me and my husband during our stay was the quality of the service. The staff were really helpful and courteous. The place is perfect as well if you are looking for something that is very peaceful. I think there were only 7 villas occupied when we were there. Location is a bit far from the pier but there are transpo services available. Beach was okay but there were quite a number of jellyfish (tho it’s for the whole ocean in general, not only to the resort area). Food was amazing! 😍 Breakfast options are a bit limited but they tasted wow! I also loved the room’s aesthetics. 🧡
