Excellent!”

We had booked into a guesthouse which turned out to be terrible and so we made a last minute booking the next morning for this place. Headed straight there after and although was 2 hours before check-in time the lady on reception was happy to accommodate. We had booked for 2 beds in one of the dormitories, but as they didn't have 2 spaces in the same room she instead upgraded us to one of the twin rooms for free. We asked if she'd like us to move the next day but she said as we had already had to leave one place once it was fine, which was very kind of her. Both the hotel and room were beautiful. We can't say a bad word about it. It is cheaper than many of the hostel type accommodation in Chiang Mai whilst maintaining status as a wonderful boutique hotel. It was incredibly clean and the comfiest bed we have stayed in during our 3 months in Thailand. Gorgeous pool and free toast and tea/coffee which you help yourself too. We have two further visits to Chiang Mai planned so far and have already booked here in the dorm rooms for them, which the lady showed us in and whilst much smaller looked again very clean and comfortable. Thank you Glur Chiangmai for a wonderful stay and we look forward to staying with you again very soon!

Near Ping river, kind staff”

You can enjoy with various helping from staff. Free toast with jam. Free coffee, banana etc. can meet travelers from various nations. And best riverside view. Glur is my best place in Chiang Mai.

Paradise right near the night bazaar”

I booked this hostel only because it had a pool in the pictures. I had no idea what to expect and was absolutely blown away by the place when I got there. The staff were amazing. The pool is stunning. The rooms were brand new. The hostel had pretty much just opened when I arrived so there weren't many reviews to go by. Exceptional value for money. I stayed in the 6 bed female dorm, everyone in the room was lovely. The beds are arranged in pods so you have complete privacy but they're not very soundproof and you can see the lights of the bed nexto yours through the boards that seperate the beds. Apart from that they're so super cool. I love this hostel and will never stay anywhere else when I'm in Chiang Mai. It's brilliant. ❤️❤️

One of the best budget options for solo travelers”

Service was outstanding! The staff in Glur supports their guests all the way with a wide selection of tours, accommodation services and nice, comfy bed as well. Location is opposite the heart of Chiang Mai but you can always walk for a small distance.

Quiet hostel for Songkran”

Booked this hostel as a solo traveler for the 2 nights preceding Songkran festival..Cute, clean and quiet hostel by the river. Easily walkable to old city but just far enough out from the chaos. Has an amazing pool area that is quiet and relaxing- not a party pool. Was a nice hostel but despite having a great setup, it seemed to lack in the social atmosphere. This wasnt a problem for me as I was using these two days to regenerate and relax- a great choice if you are looking for the same. The on-site cafe provided free breakfast and good coffee made by the sweetest lady named Pattama. Be kind and make conversation and she will make your stay feel special. Thank you Pattama and Glur Chiangmai for a peaceful stay!

Lovely place ”

Glur Chiangmai was great. It was clean, the pool was great, the staff were helpful and as a solo traveller, I met lots of people to spend time with. It's not in the old city but I find everything was a 15-30 min walk from the hostel. Which was fine for me. The wifi also worked really well. My only complaint would be breakfast - there was only one vegetarian option (eggs and toast). Would be nice to have more veg options, and to have some fruit with it as well. Overall though, lovely place!

Favorite hostel in Thailand”

I have been bouncing around to new hostels each night for the past 3 weeks throughout different cities in Thailand. Glur Chiangmai is easily the best place that I have stayed so far. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the rooms and property are very nice and clean, and it's in walking/ scooter distance to both the saturday and sunday night markets. If I could give them a higher rating I would. :)

Great cute welcoming place. ”

This is a great place for me first time in Chiang Mai. I booked 3 nights in the deluxe twin and booked another 2 nights I felt so comfortable . Staff so very sweet and helpful. Room was large, very clean and quiet enough. My only complaint is that the swimming pool really needs to be cleaned. The water is fine, the owner or manager really needs to hire someone to scrub the edges where there is yucky mold. Still I would stay there again and I did swim in the pool as it was.

The new friends I made in the same hostel room made my stay even more memorable listening to their travel and life stories. I stayed for 1 night. Stayed elsewhere for 2 nights. And I went back again to Glur for 2 more nights. A short distance walk to Night Bazaar passing Iron Bridge and River Market Restaurant. But you will get to see the lovely beautiful Ping River along your walk. Nice!

Exceptional”

We initially found this Hostel in Hostelworld, but it is definitely more like a hotel than a hostel. The rooms are big and spacious. The entire facility is very well taken care of and the ladies in the spa do a fabulous job! The staff is helpful and even told us to book through Agoda because it would be cheaper, that's how I found out about this site. We had a lovely time at Glur!

Best economy stay in Chiang Mai”

Little away from the old town but an excellent hotel to stay in Chiang Mai city with night bazar very close by..

Very Good Place to stay”

If I go back to Chaingmai I'll be at the Glur. Liked the pool. Not large but sufficient. The staff were friendly. Close to Farlang areas and markets but not amongst the hustle and bustle yet close enough to walk there. Taxi -Red Tuk Tuk (more like a small open bus) and is 30 Bah each if walking is not your option. PS They have a kettle Like most of Thailand buy mosquito spray and keep the doors closed. Especially at night.

Excellent”

Glur was great value for money. The breakfast was good, easy and ready quickly, the rooms were spacious, and it is only about a 10-15 minute walk to the city centre across the bridge. The rooms are outdated and the bathrooms could do with some work but the shower works so it's everything you need. Me and a friend were backpacking and we enjoyed our stay. We didn't spend much time in our room, it was mostly just a place to sleep and to get picked up from for tours :)

Very good”

Hotel Glur Chiangmai is situated near the city centre. It's a big hotel, very good hotel and isn't expensive. We have got a nice swimming pool. The hotel's rooms are clean. Breakfast is very tasty.

Dorm room in a hotel!”

Amazing air con dorm room within this hotel with pool - great for the price. Location nice abd quiet on riverside but easy walking distance to the night market and songthaws anywhere else. Good breakfast included and staff helpful in ordering uber!

Exceeded expectations”

A little hard to find the place, since the main sign at the entrance is for the spa, not the hotel. Really good deal - a very nice room in a nice place, for a low price. Really great room - charming, unique, spacious, comfortable. Swimming pool (though appears not heated and a little cold in the winter). Breakfast a bit lackluster, but the overall conditions made up for that. Good location just next to the iron bridge, 10 minutes away from the Old Town and 5 minutes away from the Night Bazaar.

pleasant place to stay”

Apart from the backpackers who stay in the dorm rooms this place is good. The backpackers spend all day hogging the pool. Obviously not wanting to go out to spend money! This is the second time I have stayed here. The room is good and bathroom a big size. Great shower also. If you want television foreign, forget it... all Thai. I never bother with telly anyway as the wifi is good. The location is good, as it isn't in the middle of the tourists. It is close to the famous Iron bridge, over the river Ping. You don't feel the masses at this location and it is only a few minutes walk to the centre of most of the tourist action, like the Night market. If I go to Chaing mai again i will again stay here.

Stay enviroment & service is OK, but management has a bad policy to increase room rate after the first night, and without breakfast. Thus I had to checkout n find another hotel for my three week stay in Chiang Mai.

Wouldn’t recommend ”

The hostel is outside of the square of the old town chiang mai, so taxis will overcharge you (just for being one road away). The staff were very friendly and helpful, room was clean. Shower was cold every single time- not impressed overall.
