Lots of character”

This guest house was great. Unfortunately, I only booked for one night and were unable to accommodate me for additional nights. They did, however, suggest another place which worked out nicely and even provided transportation to the new place. At Goble Palms, we received excellent service, the location was ideal (not too far from beach in a safe location), and the breakfast was fresh and offered fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, eggs, etc.

Splendid Colonial House”

Vincent is such an able and supportive host and he rallies his team magnificently. I've stayed in many BnB's in Durban and this one has the best breakfast by far. The rooms are big and very well furnished and the price reasonable. Good wifi. The only negative is the poor tv channel choice and poor reception in the rooms. Disappointing as the rest is si good.

Good value for money and service”

Good location for accessing all area of the city and parking is provided. The house has a great and welcoming atmosphere with several lounge and terrace areas for guests. Breakfast excellent with local/homemade touches and duty manager Goodman is an utterly caring, service-oriented and competent gentleman. The owner/manager was very forthcoming with local travel and restaurant tips, e.g. Mali Restaurant nearby for excellent Indian food and recommendation to visit the Nelson Mandela capture site and apartheid museum on our way to the Drakensberg.

Stay here when in Durban”

This is a charming property with a wonderfully attentive manager, Vincent. We wish we had a longer stay there. Highly recommend for any stay in Durban🌍

Little things matter”

The place has character, every room was different. From the decor to the trees surrounding the house. Got complimentary amarula ( I do drink but the gesture was nice), there’s whiskey in the living room, home made cookies and chocolate. The staff is very attentive. It felt like home away from home. I’m definitely going back! The only thing I didn’t like it’s close to the road but at night it’s quiet. This place is a gem!

Oasis of calm after travelling ”

First time in South Africa, the room was terrific in a colonial style with secure car parking and dedicated staff. Wonderful place to stay.

Very nice hotel”

A spacious room with very nice bathroom. Excellent level of service. Main disappointment was a lack of Supersport/DSTV channels, other than that, I would definitely recommend this property. There is a very nice cafe round the corner called Earthmother-the food there was exceptional.

A hidden gem”

What a fabulous place, and such friendly staff. I’m so sorry we only had one night here, we didn’t get a chance to make the most of the pool and beautiful surroundings. We’ll have to come back

Had a lovely stay, room beautiful and staff and especially Vincent were very attentive.

Friendly staff, easy to find and hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the main road.

Room was very small. Electricity tripped a few times. TV reception and Chanel selection was poor. Old hotel. We booked out after the first night. Breakfast was very good. We had cold showers as there was no hot water.

When the breaker tripped one evening we were in darkness for at least five minutes and the wifi never did return despite numerous promises. Unfortunately weren’t able to check in for our flight the following day.

Had an amazing time with my kids..The staff made sure we were ok,kept checking on us if there was anything else we need…not to mention the breakfast they take order from you and make u fresh breakfast just how you’d like it..our room smell like fresh air..and I also loved the fact that their checkout time is 11am…I will definitely come again and I recommend it to anyone to go and experience Goble Palms.

Beautiful and worth the price ”

I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are beautiful and it is clear to see that a lot of thought and effort was put into this place. My only regret was that I couldn't stay longer!
