"My husband and I spent a week at Horsburgh Guest House in January 2017. It was our first trip to the Maldives and were hoping for a more authentic, personal, charming intro to a Maldives rather than a super posh resort, however we wanted to experience the famous amazing beaches and turquoise waters we had seen photos of. Horsburgh Guest House had it all! A cozy guest house with the lovely Mrs A, serving meals and helping us settle in. Adam, the jolly hospitable owner who advised us which neighboring islands to visit and Azheem the confident boat captain who took us to see the most mind boggling gorgeous beaches and turquoise sea we have ever seen! Goidhoo's beach for foreigners was fabulous as well, a lovely 8 minute bike ride to a beach we had all to ourselves or shared with 2 or 3 other couples who were also guests at Horsburgh. Finally, the island's population are most welcoming: we watched the fishermen clean the catch of the day and were offered a taste of their celebratory fish soup from the days catch. We watched the best girls volleyball team in the Maldives practice near the harbor while we played badminton at a nearby net in the afternoons. While walking through the jungle roads, locals offered to give us a ride back to town. Thank you Horsburgh Guest House and Goidhoo for providing the perfect combination of relaxation, adventure, and charm to create the most marvelous holiday."

"Our first visit to the Maldives was in March 2018 and we were welcomed in the best possible way. Jordy met us at the airport and assisted in every possible way to make us feel comfortable. The staff who work at the hotel are always smiling and happy, trying to satisfy all our needs. The hotel itself is situated on Goidhoo island which is appr. 1.45 hrs by speed boat from Male. It is located on the beach which is very clean which perfect white sands and crystal clean water. The hotel is very cozy, clean and the food served is very delicious. The chef does great job as well! We went fishing one night by sunset which was part of the many activities offered and organized by the friendly staff at Olive Goidhoo Hotel. We even ate our own, freshly caught fish the same night!! We recommend Olive Goidhoo to everyone looking to experience the real Maldivian life, to be close to its nature and people and admire the beauty of this amazing country in a peaceful environment!"
