Well worth the 10 minute walk !! (or use the FREE shuttle bus service)”
Don't pay double if not more than treble the cost of a hotel room on the Las Vegas strip..!!! We have stayed here twice now, No it's not as modern as the Bellagio or the Venetian, No it's not directly on the strip (but is within a 10 minute walk or use the FREE shuttle bus service), No it's not full of young rowdy hen or bachelor parties, However, it's also not double or triple the price to stay here, Yes it's nice and quiet, Yes everyone is friendly, Yes they have a 24 hour TGI Friday's, Yes they have an all you can eat buffet 3 times a day ( Breakfast only $9.99 plus tax each) COMPARED TO $25 TO $40 each on the strip.....come on people, it's a perfect base and relaxing hotel with the costs or the hassle of being so close to the strip.
good hotel but...”
Room was very good, large and clean. Internet not very fast. Easy connection to Rio Casino. Location is a little issue if you plan to visit and explore Vegas. Shuttle often fully booked and long walking distance to the Strip (at least 45 minutes). Pool and Fitness Gym small as well.
Pros and Cons”
Had a huge issue with check in forced to wait 2 hours at Midnight until 2 am after driving from California. Need better training of front desk. Given a free night and an upgrade to a Hot Tub in the room theme suite and was very impressed with the manager the next day. Great customer service by management, huge fail by the woman who was checking us in (about 20 other people had the same problem that night.) Need to update your check in system/ policies. Good room and bed in the heart of Old Las Vegas
Gold Coast has gone downhill”
We were just there 2 years ago but our experience this time was horrible we won’t be returning. First the room, air conditioner was horrible, it rattled every time it went on. Had to sleep with the room at 72 so the air wouldn’t trip on. Room also smelled perfume, like they were masking something. Casino was even worse, very smoky. They now have non-smoking tables but does no good when it is sandwiched between 2 smoking tables. Played pai gow for about 30 min on 3 different tables the first 2 were the absolute worst. Dealer didn’t know their hands, kept trying to take the money when they should have been paying out for a win or a progressive win. Took about a minute to read, finally had to tell them if it was a win, push or lose. Ping Pang Pong still delicious as ever. This will probably be the only thing we will go back to Gold Coast for.
Nice Room - Friendly Staff - Casino OK”
Double queen room was nice. Large comfy beds. Room had everything you needed for a 2 night stay. Staff was friendly & accommodating. Only complaint is the casino slot machines were filthy & looked like they hadn't been wiped down in weeks. Casino play was ok - left breaking even. All in all nice stay for the money we paid.
Here is why you need to remember and what caused the score to go down. One the 100.00 incidental charge refundable but a charge. The 35.00 resort fee. Not mentioned anywhere on the web sight I bought the room on and mentioned at the front desk. Third the pool and hot tub only open till ten pm.
Not so far from the strip, which we liked. Very friendly staff! They have Fridays and subway inside the hotel which was great! We had dinner and walked right up to our room. Room was really clean, nice view Also.
Thumbs down ”
We stayed 3days, first night is a messed up, we went to a club so probably when we get to the hotel we’re so tired and we wanna go to bed. Then when we get to our door the card is not working.. so we went to the lobby to tell them what’s going on. So then they give me a new card key to try.. and it didn’t works. Then go down again to the lobby i told to them there’s no light coming up to the door maybe something wrong!! So then they told me to wait for the engineer/electrician to check our door.. okay after an hour they fixed it. Then someone came up after all the sh*t goin on.. it’s the SEcURITy so they knock my door to tell me it’s not okay to book two rooms in one name!! And it’s 4am in the morning!! So mad so bad and I didn’t get any SORRY for their trouble.
Nice, old school environment. Jacuzzi is excellent, but the heath facility equipment is sub-par and needs replacement.
Great resort to stay in Vegas”
The room and toilet was quite big with nice amenities. The casino was big and good too. Server restaurants inside the resort, like TGI's, famous Chinese restaurant, etc etc. Their buffet was good as well. Their staff and service was excellent during my stay. The strip is about 15 minutes walk , but shuttle is available to and fro from the hotel though. Overall it's an excellent place to stay. Value for money.
Great Htel for the money.........perfect location!”
I have been here before ,this is the best Hotel for your buck,Nice rooms,Clean, never a problem I do always ask for a small frig.so I can have some snack and cool drinks always on hand. The price is $15.00 for the stay one day or a week is just $15. but they always comp. Fun Times at the Gold Coast
Will stay again”
Good Hotel, affordable prices at buffet and restaurants, pool not crowded. Carpets should be renewed, will book again soon.
Excellent staff. Clean. Events. Enjoyed my stay”
Everybody very friendly and helpful.
They were awesome and understanding about our situation and let us check in a lot later then the check in time period. The rooms were nice and comfortable
Disappointed experience ”
The first hotel I stayed in Las Vegas. I got to know every guest has to pay US25 for resort fee when check in . If adding up these us50 the hotel fee too expensive. That’s still fine as long as I can get good services. However, basic items are not available, no slippers and electrical kettle for hot water. Bed is in 2 feet’s distance to the door that I feel that I am sleeping at the corridor. There are only shampoos and 1 soap and towels in washroom and nothing else available. I don’t know what I get for the resort fee. I will never stay here again and hope that the stay tomorrow can change my feel about LV hotels.
Ever increasing resort fees!!!”
A great hotel off The Strip with mostly everything you need apart from a poor selection of eateries and an ever increasing rip off of "resort fees "! At least, unlike many others, they do not charge additional for car parking..........YET!
