Great hotel, but expensive taxi's to Vung Tau”
We arrived at the Long Hai bus station around 4, no taxi in Long Hai. We had too much luggage to ride on a motor bike,but were lucky that a city bus came bus and it dropped us off in front of the hotel. The room was for 3 guests and we were pleased. The bathroom had a very modern shower and it was quiet all around us. The problem was that it was too far from Vung Tau which was our place of interest. It costs $25 to get a cab from Ba Ria to Long Hai and take us to Vung Tau.

A normal 2 stars hotel”
I had a nice time at the Gold Stars Hotel. I read some negative reviews about the staff but my personal opinion is that the staff was ok, respectful and I did get them to smile at me. I think the tip here for foreigners is the following: respect the local culture and try to immerse yourself into the local language rather than assume or demand the staff would speak your language. Remember you are in a small village after all. Once they see you are making an effort to talk to them in Vietnamese and see you respect them, their attitude completely changes and you will get the smiles you want to see from the staff and will make your stay more meaningful and pleasant. If you are looking for a place to relax while in Long Hai, this hotel would do it. The beach is not two minutes walk so if you don't mind driving motorbike or taking a cab, then all good. Besides, the nicest beach is not near the hotel anyway. As for Long Hai, it is a nice village, small but nice. If you get bored, drive to Vung Tau which is about 20 to 30 minutes away. Vung Tau is alive at night.

Good service, kind staff, near the beach with cheap price”
We usually travel to Long Hải beach twice a year but this is the first trip we enjoy at The Gold Star hotel. When we arrived there at 9:30am (it is not the time for receiving room), the reception said to me that you can check in this available room and no need to wait until 12:00hrs. The room is really clean and convenient, staffs are very kindly and there has the swimming . From The public beach to location of the hotel is really near (about 200m). Everything was really fantastic!!! Absolutely, we will come back The Gold Starts hotel for next time.

Stay was very pleasant”
My stay was very pleasant and like that fact the room was very large, great view of the ocean if you staying on the four floor. Also has a nice patio area in the 4th floor to be able to relax and enjoy the sun. It would been very nice, if the hotel had a transport vehicle to bring you to Vung Tau. The Hotel was very far from the beaches and the Downtown area of Vung Tau. If you looking for a place to be peaceful and away from any busy activity, this hotel will be great for you. The beach is not to far from the hotel,Distance from the hotel is approximately 400 feet.

Good hotel”
I think it is a good hotel. The rooms are normal but clean. The place should walk for about 5 minutes to the beach, but I did not feel so far. There was an English-speaking restaurant nearby, and I had no trouble eating. Most shops in the surrounding area did not speak English. It would be better to use a mobile translation app I got up in the bathroom around 2 am, but the shower toilet was broken and there was a water leak. The water did not stop and the toilet was flooded.I called the front desk and asked me to respond. Although it was midnight, the staff did repair without a disgusting face. I felt very kind. Morning buffet is only for the day when there are many guests. The day when there were few guests was a limited menu. There was an accident that the shower toilet was broken, but it is a generally good hotel.

Decent, cheap, one night stay.”
We stayed in Long Hai for one night and this served the purpose well. Located close to the beach where there are locals selling all sorts of seafood. Cheap beer and cheap food down there. The hotel was really clean and spacious. Great air con, great shower, great bed, can't complain. The breakfast was a bit average but did the job, staff were ok, one lady spoke great English, but the others were a bit shabby but that's ok. One guy drove us on his motorbike to get the bus the next day at no cost so that was nice. They leant us bicycles the night before and we could ride into town for dinner. Nice people, nice hotel, clean and perfect for a one night stop if heading north or south on your journey.

The hotel is new, but the location is not good. It's far from Vung tau and Long Hai. No sea beach in front of hotel. If you want to swim in the sea you have to walk far.

Clean, well-located and friendly”
The hotel is only new so it is modernly furnished and clean with most standard amenities. The room and bathroom were spacious and the maids did a great job with their daily service. The only areas of improvement that the hotel could make are to include tea/coffee making facilities in the room (I know this is very Western, but it's a touch that I personally like) and to clean their pool more regularly. That last point is the only thing that really displeased me as dirty pools can in fact be dangerous.

first time I have stayed here but would definitely go back there. the staff and the food was above the standard I would have thought. great facilities and good location not far from the beach which has some terrific seafood on offer.

very good location although it is a littl far from the city centre- Vungtau. Otherwise the room and food are excellent Very clean bathrooms/ beds, etc. A plus is the access to an ATM nearby which is not very common in Vietnam sometimes. Damn cheap rooms too. This is a hotel you should not miss!

Nice hotel, staff not too friendly though”
The stay was good but I found the staff on the whole to be not very friendly or helpful. I rang reception to reporta problem with the power and she was finding it difficult to understand me but then told me someone would come to look at it tomorrow! Not impressed. As it turns out the key tag Shem did not work so you just used the circuit breakers outside the room.when we left we told them we had not touched the mini bats, but they were quite rude in the way they insisted we wait till they sent someone up to the room to check.

Very relaxing”
It was a very relaxing few days. You could hire bicycles from reception. The staff seemed unfriendly at first but seemed to warm to us later. The advertised buffet breakfast didn't happen on Saturday . We could choose from the menu but there was a decent buffet breakfast available on Sunday . The hotel is very good value for the price.

The hotel have 2 area. area with pool swimming and area at outside. 2 area look like 2 hotel, a hotel 3 star with the pool and the hotel look like motel customer want to go swimming pool, he must go out the road and go to the hotel 3 star. Room detail on Agoda don't note this case. I just feel a little disappointed. The price i paid for hotel 3 star is not worthily

In the Middle”
This hotel is just OK. It supplies a clean and friendly service. Sadly when I was there, just for the one night, there was a very loud party next door. Also a power failure in the morming meant carrying all my bags down four flights if stairs. Not their problem. All in all, it was what i wanted for one night.

Poor soundproof, noisy with voice from outside and neighbor. Air-conditioner not good, TV too small, staff not very friendly. However, it's cheap and close to the beach & Dinh Co.

They had charged a fee for picking up from Long Hai's market to the hotel without noticing or asking us at the first time we called or arrived at the hotel. This is the most unsatisfied and disappointed about the hotel.

Hotel : new, simple and very confortable ”
The hotel was good, but they spoke a little english. The bashroom was just finishing to be cleaned so it is not perfect. But the room is very silent. It is perfect when you travel and you want to relax.
