Convenient hotel with comfort. Value for money.”

Clean and very near to ferry terminal

we booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. no regrets. it was value for money. the hotel rooms were very clean and location is very convenient. we can even walk to the ferry terminal where all the casino free shuttle meet. we just hopped around the free shuttle and go around. note that the yaohan shopping centre has moved to next to emperior hotel.. there is only a small yaohan at the ferry terminal. no worries, you can take the hourly shuttle provided by golden dragon hotel to ferry terminal. the porter who is at the hotel door is so friendly to find us the bus schedule. opp the hotel is the fisherman wharf, can go there to take photo. nice ! at the back of the hotel, there is a monument - lotus - to celebrate the return of macau to china. enjoy.

Review for Golden Dragon Hotel, Macau”

The Golden Dragon hotel is situated at a centralized location (near Fisherman's Wharf) and is within 10 minutes' walk to the Macau ferry terminal. The room that we stayed in were clean and spacious even with an extra bed. The hotel staff were helpful in referring us to an one-day tour in Zhuhai upon request.
Limited slot machines in in-house casino. Shuttle bus service to Macau Ferry Terminal is only available once an hour and is usually full.

The overall experience is good. I recommend this hotel for value-for-money stay. The Golden Dragon Hotel can be seen from the Macau Ferry Terminal, segregated into the main building and sub building. Apart from the front desk and lobby area at ground floor, Golden Dragon Hotel has its own in-house casino on level 2 and level 3(for VIPs). The Cantonese restaurant on level 4 serves affordable and tasty Cantonese Cuisine, amongst which "steam egg white with prawn and vegetable" was our favorite. In addition, the restaurant manager offered free red bean dessert when we called for the bill.

Great hotel, Excellent service.”

Service.

i enjoyed my stay at golden dragon hotel. overall, it was a pleasent experience for me in macau. the service was excellent. the staff there were friendly, and attended to my enquiries efficiently. one incident that made me amazed was when i asked them what time the next shuttle bus was, they checked and aftermath, when the bus approached; the staff there came to me and guided me to the bus himself. although this was outside of his jobscope (as the receptionist), but he kindly helped us with out luggage and and wished us a pleasent trip. i certainly recommend this hotel for the friendly service, cleaniness, and comfort.

Well located casino nightclub hotel ”

Walking distance from Macau ferry terminal

I took a day off from Hong Kong to visit Macau. I selected this hotel because it was very close to the main Turbojet ferry terminal (though not for Cotai and other ferries). Hotel is visible from the ferry itself. There is an airconditioned elevated walkway for two thirds of the distance to the hotel - which made life easy for me since I had my suitcase. Outstanding location for this purpose. Hotel itself was very nice. Rooms and bathrooms were of adequate size and well furnished to 4 star standards and worth what I paid for it. A few tips for Indian travellers: Many reviews say the bed is hard - but the hardness is similar to coirfoam and sleepwell mattresses which I use at home and I did not find it a problem. Only those used to spring mattresses will find it hard. Bathroom has no hand flush or bidet system, so be prepared. If you are a vegetarian, there is absolutely nothing to eat near the hotel - be prepared to travel very far to find food. Shops nearby (there are many) will sell you bread, cheese slices and butter only. Nobody speaks English and people including shopkeepers are very rude. A few tips for family travellers: This hotel has entire floors dedicated to "services" like Sauna 18 (which means "massage services" if you get my meaning) and table dancing (that is what it says on the lift button). Outsiders also come. The latter apparently is an adult show where a man and woman do "everything" in front of a crowded audience - touted to me as a f*** show. This is not a place to take children unless you want to answer some embarassing questions - and definitely not for adolescents. The casino has mainly black jack and if you dont speak Chinese and are not a gambler, you cant understand anything at all. Rooms are full of smoke. There is no Roulette (it is there in 3-4 nearby Giant sized casinos - Macau is full of casinos around every corner, full of smoke and crowd). There are good buses nearby to go all over Macau. Great location for sight

Golden Dragon Macau”

Near to port
No comment

I have help my parents to make booking stay at this hotel. It's their first time stay at Golden Dragon Macau. They like it very much. The price is reasonable with quite a big clean room enough for 4 person stay in. They can walk to the port which is only 10mins distance away and some other casino that is behind golden dragon.

Clean and in good location, good value. ”

Clean room, less than five minutes walk to the Sands, friendly reception.

So this was the cheapest option during this Easter long weekend, found that it was actually a very good hotel. Didnt actually take the ferry shuttle because I came from the Venetian, but even that was very easy with just a free bus from Venetian to Sands, then walking less than five minutes to the Golden Dragon, it's very easy to see and can't miss it. Walking further another 5 to 10 minutes will take you to the Macau ferry if you miss the shuttle or like to walk. Check it was fast and efficient, although it turns out the only non smoking rooms available were twin bed rooms, didn't mind as one of the most important things to me is a smoke free room. Have been fivkn

I cant find anything that i dislike about this hotel

This is my 2nd time stay in Golden Dragon Macau but 1st time book from Agoda website with great deal. The hotel staff have been very helpful, they automatically offer us a baby bed for my baby without any charges for the baby coat. They don't have any connecting room but provide us a room that is next door only for my parent to stay. The room is quite big and clean enough for a family with 2kids to stay.

Excellent Breakfast and Comfy rooms”

I like the breakfast a lot. variety and fresh food served. Room are comfy.
We've paid a trip to Shenzhen from Macau for HKD250 per person. We think it's expensive but things turn sour when the hotel promise to use the minivan for transporting 9 of us but instead change to bus before Macau Immigration. Feel cheated.

This hotel located strategically in Macau. Walking distance to Macau pier and Sands. For those who wish to go to Venetian they can actually take shuttle bus at Sands. Breakfast serve by Golden Dragon Hotel is my favourite. Food are fresh and delicious. Rooms quite comfortable.

I couldnot think of any.

If you are looking for middle class hotel, it is a good ideal to stay at Golden Dragon hotel. The service personel are very well traine and friendly. This is the first time I visit Macau and though I stay for only one night, it is money for value. If I should go toMacau again, I will think ofthis hotel and recommend it to my friends.

Golden Dragon”

Location
Lack of english speaking staff

My booking at the Golden Dragon Hotel in Macau was incorrect. I had arrived in Macau on day earlier than my booking date. However, upon explaining the situation to the hotel staff, I was pleasantly accommodated immediately using the same rate. This was very good since I had been booked on a special rate, which they had applied to the rest of my stay. Nice thing about Golden Dragon is the location and its proximity to many of the big casinos and entertainment establishments in Macau. Room was middling while the bathroom could use an update. Perhaps I was just spoiled by the Venetian on the last trip.

Much better than I expected for the money”

Very good room size. Breakfast not bad.

Big problem on arival as the hotel argued that only two breakfasts were included, when we had paid for three. That said they confirmed with Agoda the mistake and we got our extra vouchers the next morning. Wife complained the hallways stank of cigarettes. Truem but the room itself was fine, and traveling a lot to China I automatically make allowances. My 15 year old son had his extra bed in the lounge so we all got some privacy. He also had his own TV, toilet and mini bar. NB. as in China all the beds are like concrete Breakfastwas far better than I expected, with a selection of both Western & Asain cuisine. Location of hotel for Macau City was superb. Always a taxi outside the hotel and cheap. Bit of a run to City of Dreams / Venetion Hotel, but i new that so no problem. If I complain about anything, and its very minor. Every lift has 'large' pictures of scantilly clad girls, (Bikini's)promoting the Crazy horse night club, which is within the hotel. What I can confirm to allay any fears, at no time did we see these girls, or any other around the hotel, unlike some other Macau hotels I've stayed in before. Conclusion, if you want reaonable price, large roomss, acceptable breakfast, Golden Dragon is hald the price of many other hotels in Macau. Yes I will go back.

Golden Dragon Hotel is a nice hotel.. Sands casino is just opposite the hotel and from there you can have an access to free shuttle bus to other places like Venetian Hotel and Resort.. it's near the fishermen's wharf wherein you can dine, shop and enjoy the harbour view.. the breakfast there is also superb but it costs much.. it's also near the Senado square just a ride away through taxi.. easy to get in the taxi, there is taxi lane outside the hotel... we enjoyed our stay there.. the staffs are nice and accomodting..

- Located close to the ferry terminal - Buffet breakfast - Closely located to some tourist attraction
- Casino attached to the hotel isnt that great. - No pool

When we booked this hotel we were after a cheap accomodation with fantastic location and very clean room, and i must admit Golden Dragon Hotel is a very clean hotel, and it is located conviently near the wharf so it was easy to catch the ferry to Hong Kong which the hotel offered a free shuttle bus. Also the buffet breakfast that the hotel offer is a mix of western and asian food which is fantastic if you like them both. Overall the hotel is a basic clean hotel and i cant find anything wrong with it besides not having a gym or pool...but either way i enjoyed my hotel stay and would stay there again.

This is the 10th time to Macau. I've stayed at Golden Dragon for more than 5 of those time, and this place has been consistent. Not the best place, but definitely, the best for the price. The location is close to the ferry to HK and close to the Wharf. Not much to complain about this hotel.

Stayed one night at the Golden Dragon Hotel. The location was good as it was near the Macau Ferry Terminal. It takes about 20 minutes walk to reach the Macau shopping area. There were lots of Chinese restaurants nearby. The service was fine and require a 500HKD deposit. The room was good size but the beds were on the hard side. food is good for asian customers but needs to change the menu daily

What I like best about this hotel is its location, its near the Sands Casino and the Macau Ferry terminal. Sands casino hotel is just a walk away from Golden Dragon, you just pass by the mini garden between it, in the Sands Casino - almost all big hotel's shuttle are going there - you just ride one shuttle that will go nearest to your destination - for free! Yes, the beds are hard - but our hectic schedule during the day, we hardly felt it. I think it's also therapeutic for those have back problems
