Perfect place to stay”
It is east to find. The location is good. We can just walk to those tourist spots in a while. The room is big enough for us and the restroom is big and clean. It also has a refridge inside the room, so we can put our water inside it. Then we can have iced water to drink. BTW, the receptionist is very polite and kind to us whenever we need help. I am glad I made the right choice”
OYO 266 Golden Gate is not so far from the railway station, and also just 2 km to the Dragon Bridge, pity I was at the tail end. (No walking path on the bridge), but was satisfied to catch the splendous of it by twilight. It is for the explorer visitors to find all kind of shops around, can never go hungry, By kind courtesy of the front desk I was given a very nice room for 3 nights, spacious, with windows on 3 sides, except double curtains were quite thin, and dawn at 5.00am. For hot water I had to buy bottled water at minimart next door and boil at lobby, then transfer to a flask provided by hotel. It is a plus overall for the low cost budget lodge.

Convenient location but old furniture and facility ”
Room is spacious, location is in the center, easy to get to Han river. Room is not well-cleaned, facilities are old and not maintained regularly

Functional but old and dirty”
Functional but old hotel with dusty furniture. They really need to at least intensely spring clean the place - our cup was stuck to the saucer - not cleaned in ages it seemed. There was also two huge cockroaches in our bathroom - that was really the deal breaker for us. I’m sorry to write this review especially since the staff were friendly and the family who owns it seem nice but I personally wouldn’t recommend a stay here.

good place for a night or 2”
The Golden Gate hotel is pretty good value for money. I can't really say anything bad about it, other than that the room was a bit dark and it looked a bit worn. But at least it was clean and comfortable. The location is good, about a 10 minute walk from the river. Good, free wifi is always a bonus.

The hotel staff is very friendly: she helped arrange a bus ticket for me from Da Nang to Hoi An. The facilities in the room are basic, but the room is clean and spacious.

eventhough u can get very very big room and hotel is located in very good location but staff is not friendly!!!! they don't want to answer my questions!!! After i checked out , leave baggage here, and came back to wait for taxi to pick me up then i wanna use Internet but i need to stand by 15 mins while using internet, noone provide me a chair!!! worst breakfast among 4 hotels i've stay in Vietnam

I actually can't write too much about it because I ended up not staying here. I have made a reservation for 2 nights, but I decided to just spend the day and go to Hoi An, which by the way is a much better option. The room was clean and the location was good.

Good location bu the rooms are not so good. Small, dark and smelly some times. Also the dining area is just an empty room with 2-3 tables and one corner with a gas kitchen. If you need to sleep just 2-3 nights and you look for a cheap place in a good location then it is ok, but I think with the same budget you could find something better.

the room is very old and either not well maintained or simply not cleaned very well. it was a bit late when i came and the staff on hand was not very spirited. the beds very very used and you could feel it. also you can hear the neighbours next door do anything. for example in the morning someone left the alarm clock running. the location is great however and the price is very low. all in all, you can go there, but forget about any kind of luxury. btw the building itself is very interesting.

Checked in at 1 pm. No wifi on my room. Reception dont speak english. No hot water. Woke us up by power drilling and doing construction in the room next door and the bed sheets had stains.

The room was not clean. The floor was sticky, the room has a cigarette smell. The bed was hard. We left after one night. Not worth the cheap price.

Mini bar scam”
We arrived with the mini bar having some water bottles. When we checked out the lady told us that we have to pay 20.000 vnd because of a water bottle we used. I went up with her to see for myself and found the same bottles as the day I arrived, I couldn't really tell her that we didn't take any bottles out because she didn't really speak any english so I just paid what she wanted. Also during the night some people at the reception were having an argument
