Not as great as it looked
Customer service, Housekeeping
We booked a deluvxe room, but was brought to a standard room by mistake. After the change, the remote control, safe deposit box and the room battery failed on us. Maintenace was bad.. The metal to hang our towels dropped when i was taking my towel, as it wasnt screwed in, so its hazardous as it almost hit me.. Can see that the place is run-down and not very well maintained. Location is at a secluded area, thou u can reach the busy street in 5-8mins. On a side note, the customer service was great and the view from the terrace cafe was magnificent (hagia sophia & blue mosque). Our room view was of the blue mosque and u can catch the sunrise.

not a 4 star hotel in room size & cleanliness
The breakfast is really delicious and varied, there is a 4-5 coffee break, and nice location and view from breakfast room
Not a good impression of the hotel, they gave us a tiny room, I understand I reserved a standard double room but there eas barely room for me to stand, I think this room is meant for a single bed. There is no elevator to the first floor where this room is located. There is dirt and broken glass under the bed and the toilet table next to it, probably from the guests that had stayed before us. It is obvious that the cleaning staff do not consider wiping these 2 areas. This is not only important to rate cleanliness but also not hygienic nor healthy for a guest with sensitive airways like myself. The safe repeatedly did not open even thought My mum and I were 100% sure of the code. We had to leave it for 15 minutes and try again several times for it to open. The next day the manager had to come and insert a special combination for it to open since we had to check out, and we had our passports and money stuck in thw safe. I was stuck in the bathroom since the handle was broken while I was inside, and of course the door was locked. After trying to twist the knob several times the door open and we could not close it again. Good thing that the hotel fixed it the next day when we told them about it. Considering the price we had paid, I think we could have had a better experience in terms of room size, cleanliness, and room options.

Beautiful hotel in fabulous location
Very helpful and accommodating staff; gorgeous hotel; delicious breakfast; fantastic location
We loved our stay here. The air conditioned rooms were a welcome relief. The view of the water was amazing. At night we could see Haya Sofia and the Blue Misque lit up from our window. The view from the breakfast balcony was amazing. The hotel was wonderful!

Not a 4 star hotel
Location to the significant tourist sights of Istanbul.
The hotel is rated as a 4 star hotel but it is clearly not! You have to pay 5 TL to get a glass of juice at the buffet breakfast despite having paid for the buffet. Tip box at the door and on the juice table is a bit much, and no tissues and no iron in the rooms is a bit poor!

Very small rooms with limited internet connection
Close to sightseeing areas and local transportation
I would not go back, some front office staff were very rude but others were OK. Rooms were too small but the breakfast was great.
