Spectacular. Awesome. What else can I say? It was perfect for us. Romantic and beautiful setting. ”
We were welcomed at 5am after a 1hour boat ride under the stars to this breathtaking hotel on the water. A dream for us as we live on a lake and have a sailboat. We are both water addicts , so we were in heaven. The staff are exceptional. Full of smiles and professional, accomodating our every need. Breakfast buffet was the best part of the day with a magical sunrise and excellent food. Our room was perfect and we relaxed on our balcony with a romantic sunset. Yes it can get noisy, but you are on a lake where life happens. We slept soundly as if you retire at 9pm and wake for sunrise, it is quiet the whole night. This is a place where you need to live the hours the locals do. Remember, you are a guest in their country and are here for the Myanmar experience, and what an experience! Awesome floating market just a boat ride away. We had a boat driver all day for a small fee who took us everywhere we wanted to go. We felt like royalty. Many floating restaurants around hotel area too.

Fantastic view ”
Fantastic view from the balcony however loud motor boat engine starts at 6am till 6-7pm but we do not mind as its part of nearby villager daily life. Breakfast and food menu can be improve; shower can be improve as water came out cold, warm and then extremely hot out of sudden then extremely cold again and sometime the water is brown. Every evening, hotel staffs will come into your room and let down the mosquito net which is very thoughtful and kind. Although location is bit isolated and inconvenience- about an hour boat ride from the town but we love the calm and serene lake view from the balcony, we would still choose it again!

Perfect location for peace and quiet”
If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Bear in mind that the peace and quiet comes at a price as you are somewhat stuck on the resort with no other options for meals in the evening and their menu is a bit on the pricey side; however, we were happy to overlook that given the great customer service and beautiful location (best sunrise and sunset views). Just be sure to get a bungalow in the back area (300s) if you don't want to hear the morning commute of the motorboats. Also, be sure to contact them to get clarification on how to get there as you will have to take a boat to the hotel.

Beautiful comfy hut on the water”
Location, views, spacious
We were upgraded on arrival to a deluxe room, with a balcony and 3 beds. The room was really spacious and its wonderful to wake up on the water, and enjoy an aperitif on the balcony together in the evening. Everything was clean, the furniture a little dated but that's OK. Beautiful scenery and surrounds. The boats are a little noisy but ear plugs are provided and we were waking up early anyway. The location I liked because we could visit more around here than if we'd stayed further north.

the perfect place to stay”
Wow what a place to stay! The wonderful kind staff, the location and the huts themselves are wonderful, very clean and well equipped
This is a fantastic place to stay. Staying on the lake is the only true way to experience Inle Lake. The town of Nuengshwe is full of tourist shacks and building work, not at all a true reflection of the way of life of Inle. Stay on the lake in these word refuel cottages, sit on your balcony and watch the locals fishing and going about daily life. It is located on the South of the river where all the locals live, near the floating gardens and markets. A great location with kind staff, very clean rooms (the staff go in in the evenings to fold down your bed and let down the mosquito net) and great food in the restaurant if you don't fancy going further afield - delicious local fish dishes. This was such a magical visit and I would return here, I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

An incredible experience, but ...”
Design (on stilts above lake), good food, the long canoe ride to lobby
And now to the negatives: wifi almost never, no phone working to contact hotel from shore, no hotel boat provided to carry guests in, such a noise from engines of passing longboats, hardly relaxing!

Recommended stay on lake!”
Sunrise & sunset views of lake, spacious room
Splendid view! Very spacious! However, the water heater was erratic. The hotel could consider installing heaters in the rooms as it can get rather cold especially at night during winter. Overall, would still recommend this hotel to my friends!

Staying in the heart of Inle Lake”
The staff were fabulous. The food was well priced, well cooked and presented and plentiful. The feeling of living in the locals environment was a treat.
We were there 5 nights. A few minor problems were sorted by staff immediately. The staff were easily engaged and a real mind of information re their "roots" and traditions. Extremely lovely people. Somewhat rustic and ethnic accomodation. If you don't mind no TV, power difficulties between 10am and 5:30pm and lack of wifi corresponding with the power outages then I recommend you try it, as we loved our stay there. Thank you to all the staff who helped us enjoy ourselves tremendously.

Recommended for just for the experience”
It'd be a perfect stay if only if the wifi was working!! We had no wifi for the whole duration of stay, and the staff weren't helpful at all. I finally gave up inquiring to the staffs after several attempts and the final reply why it wasn't working was due to "cloudy weather" (???) Other than that, the hotel itself was quite pleasant. Nice surroundings, and very quiet, especially at night. The restaurant was good, even though it was a bit expensive, but it was expected.
