Had a great sleep in a cosy, comfortable bed, although pillows were too soft (for me), very quiet, large well appointed room, good sized bathroom with fabulous hot shower and lots of vanity bench space. Comfy sofa and electric blinds over window made it a very nice room and good location motel.

I could not fault staying at the Golden Leaf. I found my room adequate for my needs, it was clean and very comfortable. The location was within walking distance of the town centre.

Easy place to stay”
From a great welcome to an easy check out, the Golden Leaf, fitted in as a great overnight stay. Room spotless, bed really comfortable with a reasonably sized functional bathroom. Electric blinds a modern addition. A short walk to restaurants and breakfast cafe. We welcomed the provision of biscuits with our cup of tea (why doesn’t everyone do it)! A bit picky but a glass for water to take tablets would be welcomed. Would definitely go back when in the district.

Comfortable budget hotel. Great for EV owners as two chargers and staff willing to help ensure EV charge spots are available to use. Rooms clean and tidy. Had annoying guests who used the hotel hallway as a playground for their kids, but otherwise the hotel itself was great. Staff very friendly

Decent motel”
Decent size rooms. They could have been a bit cleaner (cobwebs on the ceiling), has a pool but no other outdoor area. BBQ facility was good. Not bad for the price

Back blocks”
When I phoned to confirm my room I was told we had room 4 across from the pool, I was happy about this. Upon arrival I was advised by someone different that we had been shunted to room 19 around the back, next to the linen storage and had been parked in by 2 budget removal vans, a Hilux Ute and a Toyota trade van, all 5 people staying in room 18 next to us. The neighbours sitting outside our room smoking and having zero privacy. Two nights of no sleep.....not good at all.

Inconsiderate Guests”
Staff were pleasant, Pool and Garden were lovely, Bed and Pillows were comfortable. We were in a room near some noisy and inconsiderate guests who seemed to know the people running the Motel as we had seen then having coffee with them when we checked in. Loud music and talking during the night, another guest in the room next to us ended us yelling out to tell them to be quiet at 11pm.

Great place to stay along the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail”
Room was clean and spacious, with a nice and firm bed; water was hot when we needed, with hand wash and shower gel provided; electric kettle worked like a charm, with coffee, tea, and biscuits provided; reverse cycle air-conditioning took a bit of figuring out, but worked like a charm once we got it started. All in all, a great place to stay, smack on the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail, and well within walking (yes, even in winter) distance of great food and coffee. There is a dedicated parking lot for each room, but there is plenty of on-street parking available if required.

Not coming back there again”
We were not sure whether we were staying overnight at Myrtleford or not so our booking was last minute. The gentleman who served us stated we were not on his list. I showed our booking and he said it doesn't matter. If we were not on his list then we were not booked. I then said that we have already paid for it. He asked how much we paid. He then stated that the rate we paid was for a minimum of 3 days and it should not have gone through. He stated he had plenty of booking and didn't need our bussiness. I felt very confused an unsure. But since we paid we insisted on checking in. The actual hotel room was not very nice. No toiletries so I do kot recommend staying here if it is an impromptu stay. The couch had a stain on it. Tv was smalll and wifi password does not work. I wish I paid $10 more and stayed in a different hotel. Worse accomodation I have stayed at and Ive been to a lot of Asian countries. Definetely do not recommend. Staff was rude and almost felt like he was blaming us for the mistake he thinks occured between his Motel and Agoda.
