Fantastic location and fabulous staff”
We spent over 2 weeks at Golden Monkeys and it could not have been more perfect. Nice, quiet location away from the busy area of El Nido, very clean, spacious room. Right on the beach with a stunning view over to the islands. They have a little Tuk Tuk tricycle that for a small fee will take you into town. The staff were so lovely and kind and helped us with booking day trips, motor bike rental etc. There is a good choice of breakfast and we particularly enjoyed the homemade bread and marmalade. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again. Thank you to the staff and owners for a perfect stay.

A little gem...”
Stayed 6 nights. Arguably the best view in El Nido and we were everywhere. Cadlao mountain provided the majestic background against the setting sun. The resort is a minutes walk from Cadlao village where the locals live and play. They are very friendly and accommodating. Our hosts went above and beyond and made the trip ever more enjoyable. Even the made to order breakfast was excellent. We had a beach front room which is highly recommended! Also, no need for an alarm clock as the nearby roosters will let you know it’s time to wake up and enjoy the sunrise. We’ll miss Brutus, Patch, and Sushi 🐕

Exceptional”
Choose the Golden Monkey for it’s tranquility and we weren’t disappointed. It was so peaceful and beautiful yet only 15 minutes walk from the Center which was really lively . They provided a tuck tuck 24 hours to drop you there and back if you didn’t want to walk . This was an excellent service. Walking was beautiful too however . The Staff and owner are second to none . They are so so lovely and helpful no end . We travel extensively in Asia and would put Golden Monkey on the top of our list for . Absolutely excellent. Well done everyone. Grainne and Tony . Ireland

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay . Rose our host was excellent , friendly and funny . She was very accomodating and her and her staff were on hand to help with any queries. We had a few medical issues and Rose helped get us sorted . She is an excellent nurse ! Breakfast was delicious and you can even order some wonderful pizza take away if your feeling lazy . Really enjoyed the company of RJ during our visit to, he was helpful and generally a great person to have a chat with. The grounds are very beautiful and the view is amazing ! Rooms are large and very clean . Would definitely recommend and stay again !

Great little spot, set away from the town”
Awesome little rooms, right on the waterfront. Slightly out of town (20 min walk) or the hotel provide trike rides (50 peso/75 pence) and they’re there to collect you at the drop of a hat. Very helpful staff. And the owner personally came to greet us and thanked us for staying. Thank you for having us.

Great place close with natrure”
This place is a bit far from the city but only a 20 minute walk or you can hire a tricycle for 50 pesos. They arrange tours (A-D) as well. The bed is so comfortable and there's a fan and AC in each room. Totally recommend ocean view! The room comes with a hammock on the porch. You can't swim, but the view is nice! The staff is also super nice and breakfast is delicious!

Amazing beachfront cottages”
Me and my boyfriend stayed for 4 nights in this wonderful property. We had a breathtaking view on the islands of El Nido and could hear birds and waves in our cottage. Room is very specious and terrace with hammock is wonderful. Cottages are located in Caalan village - 10-15 min walk from El Nido town, its very quite place for relaxing. If you don't want to walk, hotel could provide tricycle for 50 PHP one way. They have also a big selection of breakfasts that are delicious. Staff is very friendly and always ready to help, also we met owners of the property - Rose and Kevin that were very hospitable. Thank you so much for the great vacation. Really recommendable.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Clean & simple rooms. Just outside of town. You have to pay the hotel to take you there and back or you can walk 20min or so. Lovely breakfasts with incredible views. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Beautiful setting - we loved all the plants, mosaics & flowers in the hotel grounds. Our room was a ground floor courtyard view, and it was lovely. The staff (especially main hotel manager) were fantastic - so friendly & helpful. We liked the location too - El Nido town proper is a bit gross to stay in, and we enjoyed our little walk to/from town.

Lovely stay in GMC”
I really enjoyed my stay in Golden Monkey. At the beginning they helped us organize transport from the airport. Room was nice and clean, cleaned every day. Breakfasts were very tasty, made especially for you. For this price this is one of the best options in El Nido. Located in spectacular garden. The only thing I would improve is quality and comfort of bathrooms- they are quite Basic. To sum up, I can higly recommend this place to every one.

Decent place, quiet, but close to town”
Located about a 10-15 min walk from town you are close to the action but have seafront calmness. The staff is nice but not always on top of things. Rooms are big and clean. Water pressure is great. WiFi is a bit slow. Breakfast area is the only common sitting area and had great views. Breakfast itself is a bit underwhelming and they are out of half the menu. A bit more expensive than it should be, but more reasonable than it's neighbors

Breathtaking view, enchanting atmosphere, kind staff”
We stayed 3 nights in a bungalow overlooking El Nido Bay (room 6). The view from the private terrace is simply breathtaking, with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The owners and staff are extremely kind and helpful, breakfast very satisfying with a wide range of choices. The lush garden gives the resort a very pleasant atmosphere. The only drawback is the distance to the town proper (15-20 min on foot along an unpaved road) - but that's the price you pay to stay in a really quiet place. Also, the hotel has a very friendly driver who can drop you/pick you up at the edge of the town for a small fee. All in all, a very satisfying stay, would definitely visit again.

Love the cottage on ocean. Nice patio. Good breakfast, helpful employees. They book boat tours and get you there. No restaurant, no TV and hard to connect to WiFi. Quiet location away from downtown.

Great views and amazing services ”
Pros Great views overlooking the ocean and beautiful scenery. Listening to the sound of the waves was relaxing for us. Staff were extremely friendly Free breakfast is a plus Cons It could be cleaner and the towels were bit thin but it was good after all. We chose to stay here to relax and for the views and it met our expectations. Spotty WiFi was not an issue because it was not why we were there for. WiFi was good in the restaurant and reception area so not really an issue for us. The location is 10 mins walk from El nido Town proper but this is one of the reasons we chose it. Overall a great stay and we loved it!

Beautiful calm place, at a perfect distance from center. Lovely breakfast, super clean and quiet. Only issues were the wifi not always working and the lovely staff could be quite a bit forgetful
