Wonderful boat trip”
We enjoyed a wonderful boat trip in Halong Bay with Golden Star Cruise! The staff cooked us many excellent meals and the friendly manager took us climbing and visiting a amazing cave! We stayed overnight in a very clean room and participated in a TaiChi class early in the morning. In advance we were afraid that the bay would be very crowdy as we say all the boats leaving but they spread to many different bays. The most pleasant fact about Golden Star cruise that they only accept maximum 12-18 people.

Great boat and friendly staff”
Last week, I booked a trip to Halong Bay with Papaya cruise. It was a perfect trip. Since I contact with them to have instruction I was guided clearly, They offered trip as a main company in the old quarter that I found somebody booked tours from them, The friendly staff with smiles all the long trip, caves was amazing and spacious. I have been to the spacious room with the helpfulness of staffs. They showed me how to use the A/C and how to enjoy the night trip. Thanks to them I had got a memorable tour in Ha Long Bay.

Best tour ever!”
I have no words to describe this tour. I read so many things about halong bay and I wasn't sure if I should stay a night on boat or just go for the day. I am happy I picked the boat overnight stay with Halong Golden Star cruise. This exceeded my expectations. Great food, drinks, great accommodation and most importantly the staff was amazing. Arrow was our guide. He is awesome! he is very well informed, very nice and always willing to help you with all you need. He kept our group very well entertained..You can pick this company with your eyes closed, and if you can pick your guide, ask for Arrow.

Wonderful Cruise with amazing staff”
Golden Star Cruise is a wonderful boat, not too large so that they can take personal care...the staff is wonderful and the activities nicely paced and well conducted. The food is excellent and our tour guide Binh was full of energy, and spoke good English. Swimming and Kayaking in the bay was a lifetime experience and the visit to the Surprise Cave amazing. A must do tour.

Perfect holiday and great staff with papaya cruise”
I booked Papaya cruise through Agoda. They picked us up from the hotel fro free in the morning and took us 3,5 hours journey to reach Halong Bay harbour. I had the deluxe papaya cabin and it was pretty well maintain from the outside and the inside. My room was it came with a balcony with a sliding door and a spacious bathroom. It was really spacious for a room on a cruise and quiet as my room was on the upper deck and far away from the engine room. I was impressed by the sufficient hot water supplied for the guest. The lunch and dinner were served very good meals The staffs were very attentive and friendly that had make it up for the food. The cruise activities like eg: spring roll cooking class (it was so tasty but I forgot the recipe), happy hour on the roof deck during the sunset, kayaking to Bat cave, swimming Overall kayaking was the amazing experienced I had for this trip. The view was stunning and it was so peaceful around the bay with other group of teenagers came with their kayak and started making lots of noises and fooling around among their friends. It was great experience for me and a must visit destination if you are in Hanoi/ Vietnam.I would recommend to other tourist.

Great Experience of Overnight Cruise”
I was recommended by a friend and after reading all the reviews, I decided give a try. No regret of booking an overnight cruise with Papaya Cruise - the tour guide is so friendly and helpful. My friends and I enjoyed the seafood lunch and dinner dishes but we wish they could provide more meals for breakfast which only comprise bread, jam, butter, fried eggs and dragon fruits. Wish to have more like ham, bacon and etc. We booked two deluxe twin rooms but we were given one deluxe triple room which is really huge and big. Love the room but I wish they could fix the room number 4 toilet door cause it can't be locked. Overall, we really enjoy the whole cruise. Thumb up to the No 1 (that's what our tour guide described himself) and the crews.

great boat ”
had book the papaya cruise from agoda, i found that the cabins were tastefully decorated with dark wood furnishings and a decent sized bathroom which had a great shower, the cabin had very good heating.the crew on papaya cruise was so friendly and always smile. the food was very tasty and there was so much variety in the menu. the also gave us a demonstration on springroll making which was a nice touch. my boyfriend and i chose the 2 day one night trip. it is a sit-down meal and you help yourself to the dishes that are brought to the table. after lunch you are taken to the amazing cave. we returned to the boat where you could go swimming in the sea but the weather now abit cold, the dinner that night was very tasty with lots of seafood on the menu (for those who don't like seafood the chef will accommodate you). we were then steered around the fishing village in the rain for about 30 minutes but were not taken to actually step onto the villages to get a closer look which i had been given to understand that we would have been. the papaya guide mr lee very pleasant, he try to helping customer whatever they request.i cannot recommend this cruise highly enough. i would come back to vietnam and will take papaya cruise for 3 days 2 nights.

GREAT STAY”
I made booking throughout Agoda and first supplied them the booking number by email. They asked me how to pick up and where was I staying. Then they came to my hotel in the oldquarter to explain the program for the trip, free pick –up, water, ticket, even I got English speaking tourguide I had such a great time travelling to Halong Bay with Halong Papaya Cruise. With 2days 1 night staying overnight on the boat, cruising around the limestone islands and very beauiful cave. The cave visit was a highlight called the Amazing cave. Cabin was spacious even I booked the Superior cabin. All rooms come with large window with fantastic view of Halong Bay. Room's cleanliness were up to standard, firm bed, and modern bathroom. Obviously, the staffs were nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who would like to do a boat cruise in Halong bay

Fun in stunning Halong Bay”
The views defy explanation. Halong Bay is, quite simply, something for you to see in your lifetime. I took a 2-day 1-night cruise. I suggest doing that,or a 2-nighter, because 1 day just doesn't do the place justice. The rooms were clean, the water was hot, the bed was comfortable. The food wasn't gourmet, but it was very good. If you have a kid that only eats chicken sticks and hamburgers, you're out of luck. They serve good Vietnamese food--rice, seafood, chicken. We hit up the floating market. That was fascinating. I enjoyed the trip through the cave cutting through one of the islands. I loved the Amazing Cave. That's one name that is truth in advertising! I hiked up to the top of the island overlooking the beach. Lovely! Take a camera, batteries (if you need them), book/tunes (no TV, but why would you want one on a cruise?), a rain slicker (there was a light mist, almost too light to feel), and warm clothes in winter (sweater, jeans, jacket). Have fun!

wonderful experience”
We spend 2day 1night at Papaya Cruise. The guide is very nice. The crew is friendly and try to communicate even just say 'hi' or 'morning' (they only speak basic english). The food is delicious. They make non pork spring roll just for us (we don't eat pork). This cruise has a lot fun activity but they can make it all on time.Love it! I'll come back someday for spend more night with this cruise.

Great two night cruise with super friendly crew”
We really enjoy our time on the boat. The crew was super polite and friendly and guides were very informative. Food was amazing and different every time. The room was just fine for two days with AC and hot shower. Program is more or less same on all the cruise but we catch everything by the itinerary and we saw and did a lot. Everything was just nice :)

Service with a smile”
We booked the Papaya cruise through Agoda as we liked the look of the old brown sailing boat. At first we were a little dissapointed because all the boats had been painted White due to Groverment regulations. Our Cabin with on suit was on the small side but meet our needs for the one night stop over. The staff did not speak English and it was quite hard to get them to understand. With out the aid of our tour guide it would have been pretty impossible.the food was plain.

Old boat but great staff”
I was travellig solo and joined papaya cruise for 2D 1N. Tour guide was very friendly and had a lot of knowledge. The boat itself was very old, and if someone's taking a shower in another room you have to wait as there is no water coming out. No hot water at all from the tab or the shower - make sure you don't join the cruise on a cold day.. However, had a nice sun deck upstairs, and the staff was nice. Food was very nice, and we had a cool bunch of people on the boat which was a lot of fun.

adequately clean rooms with tasty meals on board”
we were being transferred to dragon cruise instead of papaya cruise. but generally, the size of the ship is the same as i saw the papaya docking without passengers. it would be better if there's cooking lesson or at least let us try to wrap the viet fresh rice paper rolls. nevertheless, it was a good experience with nice weather, excellent scenery and friendly tour guide. just be careful of additional expenses for optional tours.

Cheap and affordable cruise in Halong Bay”
We had a good time with Papaya Cruise. The staffs are friendly especially the tour guide, Mr. Ton. The food is generally passable with good portion. The room is relatively comfortable and spacious what with it being a medium sized boat. The rooms are air-conditioned but only after 7 pm. Overall, an affordable experience of staying overnight on a cruise in Halong Bay.

Beautiful!”
Great 2 day, 1 night trip. Tour guides Jenny and David were funny and had excellent English. David even provided entertainment in the form of puzzles and games for those who wanted. The boat was great - huge comfy bed in my cabin and bigger than expected bathroom. Tasty food (my only complaint would be too much food!) and catered well to vegetarian (and other) diets. We went kayaking and swam on a small beach, which was fun. Also visited a cave and had a spring roll cooking demonstration. There was a fully stocked bar for refreshments. My trip included transfers to and from Hanoi. As a solo traveller, I was pleased everyone was friendly and some wanted to socialise - as well as there being several families with young children. Overall, great trip, beautiful location, hassle free.
