VALUE FOR MONEY, CLEAN AND ACCESSIBLE”
Me and my family stayed there in Golden Star Hotel for 4days and 3nights. We got two rooms, Standard Double Room and Superior Triple Room. We really enjoyed our stay because the Chinese Receptionist there named Tayif(not sure of the spelling though) is really kind and approachable. She even let us borrow their umbrellas and she permitted us to check in early. All our questions being first timers in Singapore were all answered . She is patient and helpful. Also, there are a lot of affordable restaurants nearby. One or two blocks away, is the road already. There are shops, restaurants and Bus Stop. The hotel is also 15 minutes (based on our experience) to 30 minutes away from Singapore Changi Airport so it is indeed a very great place to stay. And 15 to 30mins away from tourist spots. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable (I know since we got two rooms as what i have said). They have a 25mbps internet speed and a fully airconditioned room. All working very well.

We are a well travelled couple and our expections for a good hotel are cleanliess, friendly staff and reasonable location, then the rest shall come along nicely! And Golden Star Hotel is one such example. To be critical, only the size of the room and surrounding are worthy of making an arrogant fuss about. The queen bed is overwhelming when first entering the room and take some planning to get belongings placed efficiently but soon used to limited luggage space. Location is at the boder of night district so can appear disorderly late at night but this is Singapore no one will actively hassle you unlike many 'sides streets' in other major cities Just book this!

Best hotel by its value and cheap in singapore”
The hotel is located not far from bus stop in gelyang area, or you can have mrt in kallang or aljuned (both about 800m walk). There is many food stall and shop nearby. Its 24 hours open. The hotel building seems old. Its supposed to be nice place if its not smell cigarettes inside of room (i assumed its from cleaner service or guest who stayed before us). However, the hotel is the one that affordable in singapore for $45 with online reservation. Best i can get bellow average price $60 in singapore. Also dont mind about night life in geylang. You can feel safe

Our stay in this hotel was great because this hotel satisfied the following: 1. Staff was helpful. 2. I did not encounter any problem checking in and out. 3. Our room is clean 4. The bathroom is clean 5. The wifi connection is fast 6. All the appliances (water heater, t.v., hair dryer) are working well. 7. Near bus station and mrt ( 2 bus stops to reach Kallang station ) 8. Near food stalls ( Cheap food stalls. If your on budget, I recommend those stalls inside 218 Coffee 😚) 9. Peaceful commnunity The only bad comment I will leave for this hotel: 1. The elevator is slow and there's always a big plastic bag for dirty linens inside the elevator and I don't know why. This is not big deal for me because I'm not sensitive in those kind of things and it doesn't smell anyway. All in All I recommend this hotel 😘

Location is very convenient for dinning out and going to the central places. Stayed there for a couple of days and it was price reasonable and very very convenient. P.s many visitors say to visit little India in Singapore, we tried it and we were a bit disappointed. Not much to do. Well we were interested in trying different foods. However the area by this hotel is full with indian and asian food stalls, several shops , etc.

i stay for three nights. price is cheap. quiet enviroment and located near the food centre and bus stop. near by have alot nice cheap durians. air con is cold. water pressure is powerful. room is spacious. only bad point is tht cupboard for clothings is provided. front counter reception staffs are friendly. will definitely stay again in this hotel

Singapore Trip”
The location is quite far from the nearest MRT Station (25 minutes) walk bust somewhat close to the bus stop. Hotel offers complementary water and coffee. Toilet was quite old that needs some restoration plus no bidet. The staff was pretty good and warmly accommodated us during our stay. Over-all if was a nice place to stay with cheap and very reasonable price.

me and my sibs to SG for our 1st out of the country travel together.. this hotel made our stay worthwhile.. Bus stop, restaurant and Kallang station is near the area.. it was also a quiet place to rest during the night.. the airconditioning was really cold and hot water is available in the shower.. hotel staff are very tourist friendly except for this 1 lady who is quite a snobbed and very rude.. but all you have to do is ignore this lady and not ruin your vacay.. i highly recommend this hotel.. great location and value for money ❤

Cheap, well located, everything you absolutely need”
The rooms are a bit old, and there is cigarette odour everywhere (a hotel for smokers) but it's clean. It's located near cheap eateries and but a couple MRT stops away from Bayfront. You can leave your bags after checkout. Contrary to some conments it does noy seem to be in a red light district, we saw one sex shop nearby and that's all. A very good place if you're visiting Singapore on a budget.

Value for money, better than other hotels of similar price range”
There was actually lots of storage space in the room though it might appear quite small. The room was clean, well kept and very worth the price we paid for. We stayed at other hotels which were slightly more expensive on our trip as well and they were not as good as this hotel. The only minus point was the distance from the hotel to the train station, it took a good 15-min walk (as we cut through crowded shops) but in general it was ok with us.

We had a nice experience at this hotel. I booked the room (superior triple room) at a very low price. Staff are friendly, rooms are spacious enough for a low-budget price accomodation, quiet ambiance and very clean. Although a bit old but cleanliness was maintained.

Budget Hotel close to public transportation and cheap eats”
Hotel is a bit worn but sheets and bed were fine. It is in Geylang, so don't expect much. For the price, it is fine - a bed to sleep on and a shower. There is a nice chicken rice shop nearby at the corner of 10/Geylang Rd. The setting is Geylang, but the food is good and cheap. If you just need a place to sleep and go on your way, this hotel is fine.

Worth the pennies!”
If you are on budget traveller, this hotel is worth enough. Daily clean were great, since I stayed for 4 days. Better call hotel earlier if you plan an early check in. Staffs were very friendly and supportive. 200m for bus stop - it makes easier the trip for sure. Things to be noted was water heater not working on my room also the elevator is very slow.

I would still recommend it”
We were still accommodated even if we checked in late. The first staff was somehow ill-tempered and was not smiling. But, the other two staff who helped us are very warm and friendly. We thought there are no complimentary water but there was. Just remind them. near many affordable eateries. if youre a tourist just make sure to buy tourist pass since hotel is near the bus stop and you can go to the nearest MRT station from there. I think I got the value of what I paid and of course did not expect for a 5-star hotel treatment.

The place is one star and it's cheap so I didn't expect much. But you got everything you needed in a room. The bus stop is also near and there are food stalls nearby.

The hotel was on the 'Red light area' of Singapore as i got to know when I reached there. But there was nothing to worry about in the area. The staff was very friendly, and helped with all of my queries and requests promptly. The rooms were very small, and could only fit bed and some walking area. Overall, a very good option if you are looking for budget hotels.
