More about Golden Triangle

The Golden Triangle is the busiest shopping and entertainment district in Kuala Lumpur. Bound by three major avenues, the district forms a rough triangle, hence the name. Highlights include some of the best up-market shopping complexes in the city. Luxury hotels in the Golden Triangle are also among the finest in Kuala Lumpur.

This is one of the busiest districts in the city, popular with tourists and locals. Most of the commercial attractions cater for bigger spenders. Bargains are less common here than in Chinatown, which is close enough to be visited during the same shopping trip. The exception is Little India, in the southeast corner of the Golden Triangle. Bargains on textiles, especially silk and batik, are easy to find here.

One attraction that isn’t related to shopping is the ASEAN Sculpture Garden. Located in the southwest corner of the district, it features a range of sculptures, carvings and castings, all made by artists from ASEAN nations.

Most of the people in the Golden Triangle, whether residents, tourists or business travelers, are here for the commercial appeal. Beyond department stores and shopping plazas, this area has great restaurants, cinemas and night clubs. There are also several four- and five-star luxury hotels in the Golden Triangle.

Those based in other districts can easily visit the Golden Triangle. The LRT stops at Bandaraya, Masjid Jamek and Dnag Wangi stations. The KTM commuter train also makes a stop at Bank Negara.
