Golden Tulip Galaxy is the new hotel in Banjarmasin. The hotel is really nice and the room is comfortable, just the washbin location in the room is a bit strange. The breakfast is standard tough, but the room service is superb and good value. Great stay in Banjarmasin.

Standard Hotel, Under Renovation”
My wife and I stayed in this hotel for two nights. We choose this hotel because it is centrally located and close to the only mall in Banjarmasin. We learned that the hotel was just recently opened. That explains the noise of renovation work being done during our stay. The size of the room was smaller than we thought. We were quite uneasy with the placement of the sink in side the bedroom, instead of the toilet. On the second day, when we entered the room after coming back from our excursion around the town, we found that the floor was not cleaned or mopped even though the room service had done their routine cleaning. Sometimes, there was no hot water during shower.

Everything was perfect. I was first given a Deluxe Single Bedroom as I requested, however, out of my request, the room was a connecting room with a door connecting to the neighboring room on the edge. Since that connecting door had no proper sound proof, sounds & voices from that next room easily penetrated the door. So I asked for changing the room, and the front desk responded promptly, though I was then given a Deluxe Double Bedroom. Though it was a Double Bedroom, bed size was quite large & not much different from single bed, so I accepted the condition. The foods of room service were good with rich variety. Wi-Fi was also excellent. However, check-out was a real mess. After I said I would like to check-out & I informed my room number, I was told to wait & sit down by front desk staff named Aida since she would contacted the housekeeping, so I waited & sit down for a moment. Then other customers came after that, and this staff were busy with those customers, forgetting that she had a long waiting customer, sitting down waiting just for her okay to leave the hotel: me. I waited about 8-10 minutes, then I came to her, how is the progress of my check-out process. She responded lightly, "Yes Sir, you may leave." Why didn't she tell me earlier so I didn't have to waste my time waiting? Management should take serious action & proper training for these staffs.

my first night was very uncomfortable, i couldnt sleep because until midnite i could hear live music ("bump....bump"sound) from outdoor pool on the 3th floor, thou my room was in the 8th floor and it was Friday night. the 2nd night i could hear children crying from my nextroom. size of the swimming pool is too small and its water contain lot of chlorine (thou it's checked regular n written at the white board near the pool) the location is the best thing from this hotel

Had to stay in smoking floor but asides of the corridor in front of our room, we don't smell any smoke at all. Staffs are very helpful and alert to our request. Would definitely stay there again next time.

There's a club in lower ground, and we stay in fifth floor, but the sound still disturb our sleep. If you want to stay in this hotel, just make sure to request a higher floor. In the end, we request to move to another floor, and the response was very quick.
