worst staff”
the hotel was gorgeous, room was decent bathroom was small. restaurant staff was good and the food was good. but the hotel staff was awful, we were the first guest during that time to check in and they did not completely check us in because we dont speak italian. second of all the shuttle bus coming from the airport to hotel was awful. service was late it stated to come @1730 but we ended up going around 1745. there were two drivers. the other driver could not speak english and was rude to us. was shouting and swayed his hands on my mother. It was awful.

Nice stop over”
The hotel was clean, we'll prices with a nice restaurant. A great stay between flights, however it is not close to many other sites, resteraunts it ships.

Nice hotel, clean room”
Maybe I am a bit biased, because after I arrived from an intercontinental flight at 5am I had a quite bad experience with the taxi that brought me there; then I was left waiting for quite long at the check-in desk; then again I was told that I wasn't booked (luckily I had not only agoda's voucher, but also a few mail I exchanged with the hotel's staff). But the room was nice and clean, so if you have a car or you arrive at the airport during the service time of the shuttle bus, I think it's a good option comparing to other more expensive hotels near the airport.

Surprisingly Good ”
We booked this hotel just for one night as an overnight stopover between our afternoon flight from Palermo and our onward flight the next day to Melbourne. The hotel itself was superb with efficient, helpful staff. Lovely indoor/outdoor restaurant near the pool with reasonably priced wines and meals most of rich were Sicilian inspired (instead of the usual boring international standards you get in most airport hotels). Our waiter was helpful, friendly & with a nice sense of humour. Breakfast was included and was OK. Our room was a good size and both it and the entire hotel were beautifully decorated/maintained. Our only complaint was the shuttle service from the airport(ask for a PDF directions/map of airport pick-up point when booking). Their shuttle serves 3 hotels OK so someone will be last off and it was us, but for some unfathomable reason it took the driver 45 minutes to get to the hotel when it fact was 10 mins away (as proven by the return journey). The other two hotels were all within cooee of ours (in Isola Sacre) and passengers/bags were quickly unloaded so either he got lost, didn't know where to go or forgot we were on board - we have no idea (the shuttle trip therefore took as long as the flight from Palermo!). The driver seemed to be paying more attention to his mobile phone and the rap-music he was listening to (groan..) rather than the route. NB: The drive from the airport (at least the one he took us on) is grim & depressing but don't worry: Golden Tulip was a complete surprise: an oasis more like a resort than an airport hotel and far, far nicer than the surrounding area!. If you need a hotel near Rome Airport look no further.

Waste of money”
Other than the breakfast, everything was poor. The toilet is not clean and the bed are so uncomfortable. The staffs were not very helpful. I will never book this hotel again!

Can't hardly find anything good to say”
Room service was good. Close to airport. Nice outdoor bar/restaurant
First of all, pick up from the airport starts at 1pm, which is rediculous. We arrived at 9:30am and had to wait around for 4 hours because the driver came late. Bad enough you wait till 1pm, then the driver shows up almost 1:30!. Second: The staff hardly spoke english, didn't explain the information about the shuttle to and from Rome correctly, nor the room instructions about keeping your card in the wall at all times while your in there otherwise the circuit breaker trips every 4 minutes. Third: The room and bathroom was tiny. The toilet bowl is situated that your right leg is under the sink. You can actually brush your teeth while taking care of business. No instructions anywhere on what number to dial for the front desk (and it wasn't 0). Had to go back down to ask. And while Im on that subject of going down, the elevator is made for two children. Fourth: $15;euro each to travel to rome one way. Cost us $30 to come back. Take the bus to Lido train for less than $5. Two thumbs down
