Affordable Classy Hotel”

1. Nightlife beside hotel. 2. Service 3. Internet is free. 4. Restaurant food ok.
1. Not exactly near prime shopping district for tourists. 2. Internet though free is largely unusable.

The best selling point has to be the nightlife just beside the hotel. Long Beach is right beside the hotel. Restaurant, massage, etc. Also, service from hotel stuff is excellent. Restaurant food pricing is a bit steep but generally acceptable. Internet is free, but limited to certain hours of the day. For other parts of the day, internet is largely unusable and it's slow to a crawl. The only time it actually works is past midnight local time. Then I get to surf at a decent speed. Overall, I would stay in this hotel again thanks to it's spacious and clean room and well as their service stuff. I like nightlife and this hotel is near Ratchada Road as well. However, if you're a hardcore shopper, I won't recommend this hotel to you since it's very far from the prime shopping district.

Staff are very friendly, helpful and courteous. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Food is excellent. Excellent value.
none

I travelled to Bangkok on my own for surgery. From the moment I arrived at the hotel I was greeted by staff who did everything they could to make me feel welcomed and comfortable. I was so surprised when I saw my room as it was far nicer than I anticipated. It was spacious, clean and comfortable, the bed was particularly comfortable. The food on the room service menu was extensive and very reasonably priced. The presentation of the room service food was the best I have seen. The al acart breakfast in the restaraunt was also extensive and of good quality. The reception staff were very helpful with information about shopping etc. The ladies in the beauty salon downsairs were so lovely and did a great job doing my difficult hair. I have every intention to stay at this hotel again when I return with my husband for a holiday.

Comfortable hotel with excellent service”

Clean and quiet hotel. Good choice of restaurants

Have stayed there on previous visits to Bangkok and although change of ownership the same high standard of service has been maintained. Large room with all facilities we required, very clean and quiet. Good en-suite facilities. Enjoyed dinner in the lobby restaurant (92 Cafe Bar)on three occasions, excellent value for money. Breakfast was also included with extensive choice of food in friendly and relaxed surroundings. Impeccable service in all areas of the hotel from checking in to final check out. Nothing was too much trouble. Able to check in with minimum delay on very early arrival from UK. Also able to keep room an extra two hours with no excess charge before early evening flight home to Australia. Would recommend this hotel as a good recovery stop between long haul flights and would certainly stay there again when in Bangkok.

A reliable hotel”

Close to tollway, good service, fine food

The Golden Tulip (old name Radisson) is one of my reliable hotels when I wish not to be too close to shopping and nightlife activities such as Sukumvit Road. It is situated close to the tollway which is a definite advantage. Rooms are adequate and the food is usually quite good. During my stay this time service in the breakfast restaurant (off the lobby) was perhaps a little substandard. However, the choice of food was great. I regularly stay at this hotel.

Great rooms, great facilities, perfect staff and nice food too
Location bit far from everything but hotel offers scheduled van to take to the major locations

Very nice, clean, safe hotel with friendly and english speaking staff where lots of airline crew stay during their layovers(that says something about the quality of the hotel, doesn't it?). Got the special deal of just under 40USD per night(stayed for 5 nights) and it is just unmatchable price when it comes to the value. I'm quite sure you won't find better deal of same quality in BKK. Hotel has very nice pool(go there early if you want to catch the sun, by noon there is no direct sunlight reaching the suntanning area) and decent gym which is very often empty. Fortune IT Mall(with MRT station) is in walking distance but takes 20mins and it's not pleasant in the heat of the day. But scheduled shuttle from the hotel can be easily taken on certain hours.

good hospitality, quality food, efficient staff service.
nothing really

The hotel was located very close to the heart of bangkok. The accomomdation, hospitality, quality is worth more for what you pay if you are from europe or america. The staff are very kind and polite. Make us feel comfort there. The room service was also quick and good from my personal experience. The staff were also able to guide us for taking tour of the city with maps and places to visit. The hotel always has ready private taxis and scheduled minibus transport of its own to the shopping malls in the center of the city. More over they also give you the hotel address printed in thai and english so its very easy for you to explain the taxi driver and come back. I had a great comfort in this as i was returning in the late nights. The quality of food in the restuarants in the hotel was also good there. In any case i tried only one of the restuarants whereas my friends who tried the other one also gave a good feedback. The rooms were also neat and hygenic. I would sure prefer to stay here if i get back. Its worth for both bussiness and holiday stay.

Radisson Hotel - Bangkok”

Excellent Customer Service Clean Rooms with lots of amenities Free Shuttle Service to parts of Bangkok
A little bit far from the historical section of Bangkok.

From the moment we arrived at the Radisson Bangkok we were looked after. The Bellman immediately removed our luggage from the taxi and escorted us into the lobby where we were greeted by another member of staff. She checked us in and answered any and all questions that we had. Throughout our stay at The Radisson, customer service was excellent. Our room was a Deluxe room and far exceeded our expectations. The hotel is located a little out of the way from the historical part of Bangkok but it is fairly close to the shopping centers. The hotel offers free shuttle van service to the Shopping Center as well as Pat Pong for the evening. I would recommend this hotel to anyone without hesitation if they want a luxury hotel.

Excellent food, splendid wine list, quiet and clean rooms

this is my number one hotel in bangkok. it used to be the radisson hotel but has recently changed its name, probably due to new ownership. the food is always excellent. i enjoy the thai restaurant on floor 24, both for its food and view of bangkok. but, i must admit that the buffet dinners on the ground floor are classy with much choice. breakfast is top class. i also enjoy a relaxing evening ib the sky lounge which is also on floor 24. the wine list is most impressive, particularly the aged red wines. the hotel is very convenient to the tollway that leads you to the airport. i'll be back many more times.

Good Service Great Breakfast Buffet Great Food and Service at Thai Restaurant Upstairs Lovely big rooms Convenient Shuttle Service
The hotel is out of town a bit, but I have stayed in the centre of town and found it noisy and unpleasant, so while some may consider this a "con", I don't.

I had stayed here before several years ago just after it was renovated. I'm happy to say that it is still offering great service and amazing food and very comfortable rooms. While it is out of town, the shuttle service is convenient and the restaurants inside the hotel offer wonderful food at a very reasonable price. I plan to stay here again on my next trip to Bangkok. I should add that the beds are very comfortable and the sheets and pillow cases are of excellent quality. I need soft sheets!

the only con is that the AC unit was a bit loud.

This hotel was a great deal - it definitely exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived by taxi the staff was friendly and helpful. Radisson Rama 1X Bangkok -Great Hotel!”

We chose this hotel due to the location. We needed to be near the Chinese Embassy in order to get a Vusa for China. We were so pleased with the well-trained staff in all departments. The Guest Services associates were incredible, so extremely helpful. The actual accommodation was excellent as was hte food. The front desk staff were very pleasant and completely efficient.
I cannot actually think of any weaknesses. The only issue for some might be the location if they did not want the 10 minute walk at rush hour to the subway as there is grid-lock at rush hour so a cab takes time.

The Radisson on Ramma 1X is the best hotel we have stayed in in Bangkok. We have made ten stops in Bangkok in the past four years and have never been as pleased as we were with this hotel. The staff in all departments are extremely well-trained. In particular, the Guest Services associates were extremely helful at all times. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the MRT and just two stops to Silom station and the Sky Train. We will certainly stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it to all travelers.

Transient stay”

Very clean hotel. Professional staff. Has all the amenities you need.
Staff was not as helpful as they should be. Airport transfer only by hired driver. A bit tricky to get local transportation without paying alot to a meter taxi.

This was my first trip to Thailand and my stay in Bangkok was only a couple of days, to see a few sights and do some shopping, before traveling to other areas. At the airport, I found hiring a meter taxi was more convenient and cheaper than having the hotel arrange a hired driver. Once I arrived at the Radisson Hotel, they had my reservations and were eager to get me into my room. The hotel's many restraunts and room service offer a wide array of eating options for everyone. The fitness center was exceptional. The hotel offers a mini-van shuttle to the downtown area several times a day and there is always a meter taxi standing by. I recommend taking the taxi to the metro station then taking the metro train around Bangkok, it is faster and cheaper. The business center was nice, a bit tricky to get the staff to grant access to it. Overall, the hotel is in a nice central location between the airport and shopping or sightseeing and well worth the price. Be sure to check which amenities come with your room, they staff does not always let you know and may charge you additionally.

Radisson Bangkok review September 2009”

Everything was top shelf, A 4-star hotel, clean, friendly, courteous, people friendly. Everyone from the doorman to the housekeepers greeted you with a smile and a look of wondering if there was anything they could help you to make your stay more comfortable. That is service beyond the call of duty. The brunch buffet until 10AM was more than adequate to satisfy any palate. The lady at the 'guest relations' desk had activities within the city of Bangkok and excursions outside the city to expose you to all that Thailand has to offer. Getting to the airport was closer than many hotels closer to the city center - only about 20-30 minutes and about 200 baht($7).
I cannot really think of any. There was a couple of overpriced shops in the lower lobby. But that is to expected in any 4-star hotel. You can find the the same products at many open markets throughout the city. The 'guest relations' desk can direct you to these.

There was a free shuttle to main shopping areas, subway stations, and the skytrain stations if you wished from morning until the late afternoon. But because the taxi fare were so reasonable, it was really no trouble to rely on taxis only if you wished. This hotel may be a little off the main drag but that means you will have less traffic and air pollution to deal with while you are in Bangkok.

Nice clean hotel with good facilities and most important free internet
Little bit far from the rush shooping areas of Bangkok

I have really enjoyed staying in the hotel. It is very clean and nice, large room's and good bathroom. Large swimming pool. You really feel welcomed in the hotel when you first arrive as the will give you welcome drink. Also I believe that you have a free internet which is very important for business travelers. Also it away from all the rush and busy center of Bangkok but still quite close. Overall is a very nice hotel that I recommend for everyone visiting Bangkok for business or pleasure.

Very good hotel”

Very good hotel in terms of charge versus hospitality, service. - Service is very good - Rooms, facilities nice and clean - Close to high way interchange, easy access to airport - Comfortable rooms for price you pay
Minor: there was no toothbrush in the room but when asked it was delivered in the room A bit far from the down town, not much entertainment or places to eat around

I would recommend this hotel if one looks for reasonable price, nice and quality service and clean, comfortable facilities. The Thai restaurant is excellent with good choice, fantastic food. However, the live show was not really impressive. Recommend for those who are on short stay in Bangkok - easy to get to the airport, very close from highway interchange. Even in rush hour time to airport is max 30 minutes. On the other side this is a bit inconvenient for down town sightseeing.

Everything is just ok

Golden Tulip has one big problem: the name ! Nobody in Bangkok know this name - everybody know the name "Radisson" This is big practical problem, because i had big problems with getting a taxi in Bangkok - they dont want to go a place they dont know !!! The hotel is very nice and comfortable - everything smoth and good. Staf effective and friendly. Swimmingpool area very good including fittness area. Radisson is not very central - you allways need a taxi - you cannot take a walk and no shopping or restaurants close ! But all in all - a very nice and clean hotel - no problems.
