A hidden gem”
This hotel is in a location that should have been (and used to be) much busier until the city moved the airport some 20km North of town. For us it was perfect because the Korean restaurant we had waited a year to visit was only a 10-minutes walk away. Plus, the main jeepney route passes by there, so it's an easy trip to the middle of town. My only recommendation is to remember to bring your extra blanket because the air conditioner is VERY EFFICIENT. But all I also love sleeping in very cold rooms; especially when a bottle of soda stays cold all night just sitting next to the bed.

Clean hotel in a good area. Shopping and live music in the area. Lots of transportation and entertainment options. The hotel itself was clean, quiet and enjoyable. The staff are nice. The only downside is that they charged me a full extra night, at walk-in rate, for a late check out of 5pm. Other hotels in the area will only charge a late check out fee or possibly a half-day.

Spacious Room, Helpful staff, Near CityMall, Near to Night Life, with back up gensets”
Myself and my fiance stayed in this hotel during our trip. To summary everything, here below are the following: PROS- - Affordable price (but without bfast, maybe due to offpeak season) - Walking distance to CityMall and food places. - Public transpo to city center is accessible, just 3mins of walk and ok! - Night life is very evident. There are strip clubs beside and behind the hotel. (haha! but they were harmless) - Hospitable staff. (very attentive) - Hot shower! (after long day) CONS- - Toiletries are very basic. (for couples, its like 2 soap and 1 sachet of shampoo good for 2 days) - If you are keen to noise at night, then better to ask for a quiet room right away. - This is not the fault of the hotel, its their distribution utility (CENECO) like Meralco for Manila. But, there's standby genset. (so no prob!) - Their bfast is complimentary, so sorry for buffet fans. - The towels are very off white and ants everywhere. - No coffee, no free water. (but ask for free hot water)

Definitely a five star service with a lesser star rate.

Service staff are very friendly and helpful, and professional. Hotel room is clean and good size. Internet wifi wireless and stable. Free access to nearby water slide park. Great outdoor swimming activities for leisure and relaxation. Pool size is huge and has few other smaller fun pools. Value for money. If choosing a hotel to stay within the Goldenfield area, Kundutel is the best choice. No regrets...!

Remote but reasonable Price”
The Kundutel was a bargain price so even though it was some distance from the city center I booked it for the weekend. There was a nice restaurant with live music across the road and a nearby Christian church for Sunday morning.
