Great Location in District 1”
I had one of the Deluxe rooms (I believe there is one on each floor). The room was of good size with a sleeping area, bath and a separate seating area with a small sofa and a computer workstation (which I did not use). Wifi speed was decent and the connection was reliable. No pool or gym. The room was very clean and the bed firm. The location was great, right in the heart of District 1. I found you could walk to almost anywhere but taxis are incredibly cheap. The included breakfast was OK and mostly catered to Asian tastes but there were eggs cooked to order. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially getting me pointed in the right direction as this was my first visit to Ho Chi Minh City. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location, great service, good price ”
Very good deal since I don't spend much time in hotel. My 3 friends n I took 4 rooms. I stayed in room 7704 which is a big room, but one of my friend in 6603 had a small room. Only problem is the jacuzzi bathtub. If you are only showering, you have to sit in the bathtub to shower. Free wifi available even in the room. Overall I like the hotel. Will stay there again next time I'm in Ho Chi Minh.

Lovely Hotel with Great Location”
This was my first visit stay at Ho Sen2 Hotel. I did'nt expect much since it was a low cost hotel. Surprisingly, when i check in the hotel the very first day,my room was upgraded due to the room i book had no vacancy. Hotel staff is very friendy and help to check in your luggages. Of course you will be will to tips them. Room is very clean with good amenities. Hotel nearby have many restaurants, convenient stores, pubs and night activities. This was my happy stay and experience and i would definitely come back to stay here again. I would recommend my friend to stay here in their next visit to Ho Chi Minh City

GREAT LOCATION, BEST VALUE FOR WHAT YOU GET”
They pick me up at airport and I have delayed flight no complaining at all, guy from hotel was very friendly and happy to help. The cost is 20$ but it has value as many taxis at Tan Son Nat airport are not from major taxi companies. If you go to Ho Chi Minh use only Mailinh or Vinasun Taxi. Regular price to that location is 7-10$. After arriving to hotel they help with luggage and everything was well organized. Small but still cosy room. Having great breakfast all 6 days I was there, not same food every day. I highly recommend this hotel if you are use to live in 3 star hotels. Cheap for what you get. Stuff very friendly.

Central, comfortable small hotel in Ho Chi Minh, I got un upgrade to a suite paying only around 25$. The front desk crew were very helpful, do not think in having a luxury room unless you get the suite :-)

Friendly staff and good location”
We liked our stay at the Ho Sen hotel so much so we came back to the hotel at the end of our vacation after having stayed in another city. The rooms were clean and spacious for being Saigon and the staff was friendly and helpful. During our "original" stay we had asked for a quiet room and we got a room that was extremely quiet. We forgot to mention this when we came back and then we got a room on the roadside which was more noisy, so if you are a light sleeper be sure to ask for a quiet room. The location was excellent; the hotel is situated close to all the famous expensive hotels like hotel Rex, but also very close to the river. The breakfast was excellent; a buffet with both local food choices as well as pancakes, sandwiches and fresh fruits for a western taste. If I come back to Saigon I would definately book the Ho Sen 2 again.

Good Value for Location”
This was my second and third stay at the Ho Sen. Each time I book the Ho Sen II being slightky cheaper, but on my second visit I was upgraded to a better room in the Ho Sen. If anything the Ho Sen is a little better. Location is excellent, by the river and close to the Sheraton and Caravelle. Its a little walk to Ben Thahn Market, although a #1 bus does go from outside the hotel. Taxis are plentyful, anytime of the day and night. Rooms a clean (the house manager is lovely as are most of the staff) and reasonably well appointed. You get plenty of toiletries, a well stocked fridge, but you do have to pay even for water. Wifi works well and there is a desk to work from. Breakfast is good for a hotel in this price range.

My Stay at Hosen Boutique Hotel”
The location is excellent. On the left as you come out of the hotel two doors away is the famous Apocalypse Now nightclub, in front of the hotel is a convenient store. On the right, you have some massage parlours. You literally have everything here. The staff are friendly and always willing to help although their spoken English is limited. The Deluxe room that I stayed is clean and spacious with 1 King size bed and 1 single bed. The only downside is they don't provide the complimentary 2-bottle water that most hotels provide and they don't refill the shower gel. Breakfast is reasonable with a mixture of Vietnamese and Western. It's a girl-friendly hotel if you're travelling alone but you need to tip the security 200,000 VND. If you are travelling in a taxi, the driver may not know Hosen Boutique hotel but they will know if you tell them you're staying at Apocalypse Hosen. It's a nice hotel and I will definitely stay there again if and when I visit HCMC in future.

Good Value for a Good Location”
This was my third stay at the Ho Sen and second at the Ho Sen II. For the price its great. The location is very central. its clean, the staff are friendly and the breakfasts good. Rooms are more than acceptable. However, other reviewers have complained about a small in the bathroom. This is caused by the bath discarging into the drains, which can be inadequate to remove the water, which can then come up through the wet room drain. I can forgive them for this, but some people may not be so forgiving. The other drawback, if you could describe it as that, is that you pay for everything from the minibar, including water. But overall its excellent value for this central location.

Lovely hotel and very good service from nice staff”
I enjoyed very much my last stay in Saigon at Ho Sen 2 Hotel. The staff was very helpful, professional and always with a welcoming smile. The location is very good, 2 steps from the center, shopping areas and the riverside. My room was clean, well decorated but it could be better if I had a cupboard ! The big flat screen TV was great and every morning I enjoyed very much their breakfast buffet with lot of choices. It's almost a brunch ! The only negative point : the shower was not that powerful, may be because of the jacuzzi bathtub (?) I will come back next time to Ho Sen 2 Hotel and recommend it to any traveler to Vietnam

Great hotel with clean and comfortable decoration”
Ho Sen 2 Hotel~ What a great hotel with clean and comfortable decoration in HCM. I really like the "White Colour" decoration of the hotel room. It looks clean and comfortable. I sleep well in the hotel. The hotel location is great! It is nearby to the river side. Very beautiful city view. It is convenience to reach every where. You can easily found the Korean foods, Japanese foods and the others restaurant nearby. Besides, the staff is helpful and smilely. The breakfast is delicious. However, one thing that need to be improved: Provide more foods for the vegetarian! I am sure will stay in this hotel again on my next Vietnam business trip. Cam on!!!

Fine hotel, but I think there are better options”
I stayed at the Hosen 2 for two nights. This was my first trip to Ho Chi Minh City and it was conveniently located downtown. It was an easy ride from the airport and there are numerous restaurants, cafes, etc. in the area. The room was basic and was a bit on the small side. There was just enough room for the desk, the mini fridge, the queen size bed, and there was a small closet area. The staff was helpful when asked for things. Breakfast was so-so, there was variety but I caught it at the tail end and things were cold. Knowing that I could get more outside, I didn't have much. The bathroom was big, but there were some small ants on the sink and the tub was a bit dirty. Overall, not bad for the price but I was able to find some better options for the rest of my stay.

Good stay, good value”
Ho Sen 2 hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the tourist area in district 1, almost next door to the Apocalypse Now bar. Staff were, good, room was small but well-appointed and clean. Good selection of restaurants and shopping nearby the hotel and Vinasun taxis are readily available, safe and reliable. Overall, very good value for money and highly recommended.

Good Value Hotel Great Location”
I have stayed in better hotels in Saigon and maybe even better value, but I've not so far slept in cheaper. I have to say this was a good experience. The hotel is friendly, clean and reasonably well appointed. It also has one of the best breakfasts I've had in a budget hotel in Vietnam. Not much choice especially if you are use to western breakfasts and as in most of Vietnam difficult to avoid pork, everything tasted great. I was upgraded to a superior room, so maybe I've over influenced by this, but the room was exceptional for the money. I've stayed in much more tasteful places (e.g. Little Saigon Boutique) but this was good. I wasn't keen on the whirlpool bath, as unlike the Japanese guests I'm not keen on programming in machine code just to get a bath. Also there was nowhere to fix the shower head rendering a shower problematic. Like other guests I noticed a sewer smell from the sink plugs, but I think that was more about the neighbourhood than the hotel. Its a couple of doors up from the infamous Apocolypse Now, which has to be worth a visit. If only to witness security staff man to man marking customers. Unlike other guests I could not hear the revelry when in bed. The bed itself was nice and firm, but giving enough for a good nights sleep. Off Thi Sach is Dong Du which takes you into the centre of Saigon. Rather bizarelly it caters for Muslims, with its numerous halal restauarants and Masjid and playboys with its billiard bars. Of course there are plenty of Muslim playboys from KL and Jakarta that frequent both. Although being close to the Japanese Quarter the main visitors milling around are Japanese, with a few Koreans. I know that this will cause a diplomatic incident, but I often find it difficult to tell. Hotel staff are all very helpful and friendly especially the housekeeping manager who was so nice and so efficient. Bell boys are always on hand to get you a txi, but frankly that's not a problem at anytime of the day or night.

The stay was decent enough. The rooms weren't particularly new. That said, the room was quite clean though there is a problem with the shower unit. Would probably stay at another hotel when I come to Ho Chi Minh

Good value 3 star hotel in great location. ”
the staff are very friendly and helpful but have little english so you need to be patient. i was upgraded to a large room at eh front of the hotel with a partial view to the river as i was staying a week. room 7701 - great big room. a few small problems: there was no plug in my bath so i couldn't have a bath & the apocalypse now nightclub is only 3 doors down towards the river so it was a bit noisy at night but otherwise a great stay. i was awoken by a lovely rooster each morning which is so very vietnam! the breakfast room is downstairs ( lift access to ground level then walk down one flight of stairs) - a very good selection of hot & cold dishes & fresh fruit. if there are no eggs in the hot dish you just ask for soem - either fried or omlette. the ho sen 1 is right next door & then the la jolie hotel then apocolypse now. a 5 mon walk to river & dinner cruises. a 10 - 15 min walk to ben thanh markets & cathedral 7 vincom cenire - huge western style shops. heaps of restaurants around - italian, french, japanese etc. i moved to the may hotel further up the street for my second week as it has a lovely rooftop pool, gym & sauna & steambath & is a larger hotel for a 3 star. twice the price though.

Clean, friendly atmosphere with friendly staff”
Pleasant stay with extended check out time. Staff gave us 2 additional hours of extended check out time so we can get extra shower after walking in a hot and humid Ho Chi Minh city. Very happy staying here indeed.

Clean and comfortable hotel with good location”
We always stay at the Ho Sen 2 hotel when we are in Saigon, since the hotel is so well located and has such comfortable rooms. The complimentary buffet breakfast is also very nice, with everything from pancakes and fruit to local foods. The hotel is located within walking distance to all the main attractions like the opera house, the Rex hotel and the Ben Than market. The staff is very friendly and helpful. All in all I would definitely recommend the hotel.
